Israel warned Germany of Iranian threat against air bases

On Saturday, The New York Times reported that Israel had warned Germany of an increased risk of attacks against US military bases on its territory, particularly Ramstein Air Base and Spangdahlem Air Base.

Both Ramstein and Spangdahlem are used by NATO air forces, with the former serving as the headquarters for the United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa and NATO Allied Air Command.

The intelligence assessments also included concerns about possible drone attacks, but did not point to a specific time or target.
