The vote on the COVID vaccination is set for the second day of meetings, Friday.

The recently reconfigured Center for Disease Control and Prevention's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices will begin meetings Thursday in which it is expected to review guidance and vote on recommendations on shots for hepatitis B, measles-mumps-rubella-varicella and COVID-19.

The committee's decisions could set out a new path for the country's vaccination policy, particularly for the country's childhood immunization schedules.

The vote on the COVID vaccination is set for the second day of meetings, Friday.

Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a vaccine critic, fired all 17 members of the committee earlier this year and created a smaller panel that now has 12 new members, according to Reuters
