The October Laptop Surprise - Freddy Lowe

 by Freddy Lowe

Joe Biden: a known national security threat.

Please promise not to even whisper amongst yourselves what you are about to read here. Do not share it, or even comment below about Hunter Biden’s laptop, because social media tells us that you are not qualified to know or discuss this information at the risk of having your account banned, where you will possibly be electronically scorned for life.

And, as if the threat of being banned by FB or Twitter were not bad enough, the ultimate warning was laid down by James Clapper, “Fight if you want, but there’s nothing you can do. ‘The emails are Russian’ is going to be the official dominant narrative in the mainstream political discourse, and there’s nothing you can do to stop it! Resistance is Futile.”

Who amongst us will volunteer to tell former DNI James Clapper that he is—so yesterday—and would he please mind sitting down. And, furthermore, that it has been confirmed by the current DNI John Ratcliffe that, “Hunter Biden’s laptop is not part of some Russian disinformation campaign.”

And, so we begin:

Every blockbuster story like the one being told herein, first and foremost, must have a hero, so allow me to introduce to you: John Paul (JP) Mac Issac. And, of course, the dastardly deeds of our villain(s), in the person(s) of the Biden Crime Family: namely, Joe, son Hunter, daughter Sarah, and brother, James.

The truncated version of our ‘unspoken tale’ began after corresponding with Larry Johnson, a veteran CIA agent and working in the State Department’s Office of Counter Terrorism. Joe Biden’s son. Hunter, who resides in California, came to Wilmington, Delaware, on or about April 12, 2019, where his father Joe, aka Big Guy (Democrat candidate for POTUS) lives. As a former investigator myself, we often relied upon, and thanked God for, the basic stupidity of criminals who would give us some of our most informative and creditable leads. And so, having said that, there was more-than-likely a discussion over the three (3) laptops and what to do with them. If Big Guy was a ‘clear-thinking-criminal’ he would have called Hillary for advice, but no, they decided on their own, (now this part is just investigatory speculation) to submerge the laptops in the bath tub.

But, now fast-thinking-Hunter needed to confirm that the laptops were water-damaged beyond repair and took them to a local computer repair shop in Wilmington on the aforementioned April 12th date.

Our hero JP, looked them over, saying one was destroyed by ‘some kind of liquid’ (luckily Hunter removed the rubber ducky from the bag…), but one was fine and he could retrieve the data from the hard drive of the third. Hunter, who could have been in a drug induced haze when he signed a service agreement left the shop, thinking they were now gone forever, with no plans to ever return to the shop.

After safely removing all the data from the damaged laptop, our hero John Paul tried multiple times to contact Hunter to pick them up, but to no avail. Months went by (May, June, July and August) and, according to Delaware law, when a product is left for service and not retrieved by the original owner within ninety (90) days, the legal ownership is transferred to the repair shop, which was specified in the agreement that Hunter signed.

Then on September 25, 2019, the White House released a printed version of President Donald Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. John Paul was shocked to hear this and realized that he was in possession of potentially ‘radioactive’ material from the laptop’s hard drive, which he still had in his possession. He recalled that the data contained hundreds, if not thousands, of confidential emails to and from unknown people in the Ukraine, China and Russia. JP thinking this enormous amount of vital information may be relevant to a federal investigation, which now might involve the President of the United States, contacted his father Mac, who lived in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Mac was a well-respected man, known as being a decorated Vietnam Veteran, who flew gunships in Vietnam, and then continued his military service with an impeccable record until he retired as a Colonel in the US Air Force. He agreed with John Paul and offered to make initial contact by taking the data files to the FBI office in Albuquerque.

But, after discussing the potential importance of the information, he was blown off by an arrogant agent, who was uninterested, and basically told Mac to leave the office.

Sometime in mid-November 2019, as JP began thinking that the government was uninterested in the data, was surprised by two FBI agents (Joshua Williams and Mike Dzielak) from the local Wilmington office who simply walked into his shop. JP immediately offered to give them the data files from Hunter Biden’s laptop, but after a brief discussion, they again refused and left John Paul’s shop.

About two weeks later (in late November/early December 2019), the FBI finally returned to JP’s shop and took the data from Hunter Biden’s laptop computer. It is worth noting here that our hero John Paul Mac Issac, after realizing that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) had no initial interest in the data files, never considered taking it to the media or possibly a tabloid which would undoubtedly have paid big bucks for this potentially salacious information, where the source would never have to be revealed. But, John Paul Mac Issac was his father’s son, an honorable man of character and integrity who never even consider the huge payday he might otherwise be ‘entitled to’.

Never shared the incriminating data from the laptop with President Trump’s defense team.

And, then on December 18, 2019, President Donald Trump was formally impeached. And, on that day, JP knew for certain that the FBI (Christopher Wray), and by extension, the Department of Justice (William Barr) never shared the incriminating data from the laptop with President Trump’s defense team. And, in the normal course of his business, JP had made a forensic copy, an exact clone of the data from the laptop, contacted President Trump’s personal attorney, Rudi Giuliani, and arranged to give him a copy of the massive amount of data from Hunter Biden’s laptop. And, as you now know, after spending a considerable time of due diligence as an investigative prosecutor, Rudi Giuliani gave the initial story of the contents on Hunter Biden’s laptop to the New York Post. But, know now that there is much more to come—much more.

Thank God that the all-powerful social media giants wanting to crush this amazing story by sending out fools like James Clapper to make ultimatums saying that THE EMAILS ARE RUSSIAN! can no longer un-ring this bell! Every possible version of this blockbuster story is now being told by every alternate media source available, and of course that FoxNews TV host Tucker Carlson, is one of the only trusted sources who has the integrity to report the truth.

Realizing my lead off was tongue-in-cheek, it is now more important than ever to find ways to break away from the mainstream and social media and share this vitally important information with each other, to electronically share and to make sure it cannot be corrupted by powerful interests, such as the ones James Clapper referred to. Please consider this as your civic duty to share this as we know the legacy media will continually attempt to influence the outcome of our upcoming presidential election by withholding and/or corrupting these truths.

There are so many moving parts to this salacious story.

There are so many moving parts to this salacious story, but one of the most important for us to analyze is the silence of the FBI Director Christopher Wray and his boss, Attorney General William Barr. In their secretive minds, the data from the Hunter Biden laptop never existed. Thinking they were in possession of the only copy Wray and Barr made a conscious decision to hold back the files for safe-keeping, while seemingly hoping and praying that it would all go away when Joe Biden was elected president.

Thankfully, John Paul was no fool and made additional copies of the data files. President Trump should immediately call Wray and Barr into the Oval Office for a serious discussion of their plans, going forward. Then the question arises of what Nancy Pelosi knew, and when did she know it? Or what and when did Adam Schiff or Chuck Schumer know about the incriminating data found on Hunter Biden’s laptop?

We need to stop and think for a quiet moment and consider how different our world would have been had the FBI in the Albuquerque office, or for that matter possibly the agents in the Wilmington office, had been honest investigators, and as well as them having honest bosses. Firstly, President Donald J. Trump would not have been impeached, and secondly of equal importance, Bernie Sanders would have been the Democratic candidate for President of the United States, certainly not Joe Biden.

Joe Biden has been compromised by the Chinese CCP government. He is a known national security threat.

LOCK HIM UP!

Trump Card - Mark Tapson

 by Mark Tapson

Dinesh D’Souza’s documentary makes the case for capitalism and Trump.

Perhaps the most overarching choice facing American voters in the upcoming presidential election is, which vision of the future do we want to embrace for our country: capitalism or socialism? The choice is just that stark and polarized. In defense of the capitalist worldview, author and documentary filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza recently released his latest film, Trump Card, “to make the moral case for capitalism and show that its rewards are just. We need to show that socialism – even democratic socialism – inevitably leads to misery and tyranny.”

D'Souza, of course, is the New York Times bestselling author of such books as The End of Racism, What’s So Great About America?, and The Big Lie: Exposing the Nazi Roots of the Democratic Left. He is also the filmmaker behind a few of the biggest-selling documentaries of all time, including 2016: Obama’s America, America: Imagine the World Without Her, and Hillary’s America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party. An immigrant from largely socialist India, D’Souza is a passionate speaker in defense of the American Dream and American exceptionalism, two concepts the left has worked hard to discredit. In Trump Card, he comes to their defense again, in the process discrediting the left’s push for the illusory dream of so-called “democratic socialism.”

The documentary includes some animated sequences and dramatic reenactments (of Abraham Lincoln, of the brainwashing of Winston Smith from Orwell’s 1984, and even of D’Souza himself receiving a call from President Trump to pardon D’Souza for his 2014 conviction of making an illegal campaign contribution). It also includes news footage of everything from Antifa violence to Stormy Daniels interviews, and socialist pronouncements from the likes of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders. But the most compelling segments feature D’Souza interviewing a wide range of speakers, many of whom the left would consider unlikely conservatives – gay men, blacks, and women – about their war stories of conflict with so-called “liberals” in Hollywood, the media, and the Deep State.

Among those interviewed are gay journalist Andy Ngo, who has literally risked his life to expose Antifa violence while mainstream media figures like CNN blowhard Chris Cuomo defend them; outspoken black conservative actor Isaiah Washington, who stands by his convictions despite Hollywood ostracism; investigative journalist Peter Schweizer, who has done more to expose political corruption than entire mainstream networks; Second Amendment activist Andrew Pollack, whose daughter was murdered in the Parkland mass shooting; and black comedian Terence K. Williams, who left the Democrat plantation because he doesn’t embrace victimhood.

Today’s socialists, D’Souza notes, have united classical socialism with identity politics, fueling division and exclusion. After noting that socialists lure many to their side with promises of free stuff, and through fear-mongering about apocalyptic threats such as “climate change,” D’Souza concedes, “the best thing going for the socialist agenda is the moral anxiety about capitalism. Does capitalism allocate rewards fairly?” In a section titled, “Capitalist Manifesto,” D’Souza looks to the story of Donald Trump’s own entrepreneurial experience to demonstrate that it does; indeed, D’Souza states that “capitalism, not socialism, is the true form of social justice.”

In a segment about what Freedom Center founder David Horowitz has labeled “the unholy alliance” of Islamic fundamentalism and the left, D’Souza talks with Alan Bender about the influence of Middle Eastern Islamists in American politics. Bender, a Kuwait-born Canadian businessman and Muslim who moves in powerful circles in the Middle East, names Somali-born Muslim and Minnesota congresswoman Ilhan Omar as a Trojan horse in America, financed and groomed by Middle Eastern money. He says she is considered the “jewel of their political crown” in America, and that they told her she need not worry about any skeletons in her closet – the media will bury them. “How do they control her?” D’Souza asks Bender. “Her weaknesses: money and sex,” Bender replies. And Islamic governments are making direct payments to mainstream media members to protect her, D’Souza asks? “Correct,” is Bender’s answer.

D’Souza goes on to interview Muslim scholar Mohammad Tawhidi. “What’s the relationship between radical Islam and socialism in America?” D’Souza asks. Tawhidi answers, “Votes and common interests.” He explains that when he was an Islamist, before his political conversion, he voted for the left because “they are very stupid… I know they have no values and principles to begin with. I dare you to find an Islamic extremist who would vote for Donald Trump. They would never do it.”

(Like businessman Bender, Tawhidi too weighs in on Rep. Ilhan Omar, whom he describes as “fundamentalist, extremist, Islamist, jihadi ideology, a threat to national security. ISIS with lipstick.”)

And what region is the blueprint to which socialists always refer as the model for their utopian vision of a democratic socialism? The Scandinavian countries, of course. But D’Souza exposes that those countries are actually market economies, and what socialist policies they have do not take from the rich to give to the poor, but soak the entire society. On the contrary, the countries that serve as the real blueprint for socialists are economic disasters and authoritarian states like Russia and Cuba. Bernie Sanders didn’t honeymoon in Norway; he went to the Soviet Union. When multimillionaire hypocrite and documentary propagandist Michael Moore wanted to promote the wondrous free health care system under socialism, he went not to Sweden but to Cuba, where he focused his camera lens on a hospital reserved for wealthy Cubans and gullible foreigners instead of visiting the filthy, impoverished clinics for the commoners.

D’Souza then speaks with his own wife Debbie, an immigrant from Venezuela, about the collapse of that once-prosperous country into a failed state in which the people were ultimately forced to hunt stray dogs for food, while socialist dictator Hugo Chavez died a billionaire.

D'Souza then takes on the activist news media, zeroing in on their political bias and double standard. In this segment he interviews Larry Sinclair, a gay man who alleged to the media in 2008 that he had had cocaine-fueled sex with then-State Senator Barack Obama in 1999. The media response: crickets. In stark contrast, the media obsessed over Donald Trump’s fling (before he was involved in politics) with porn star Stormy Daniels, who was celebrated by the left as a heroine and given the red carpet treatment by every media outlet from 60 Minutes to The View.

In a segment on the Deep State appropriately titled “Thugs with Badges,” D’Souza interviews Catherine Engelbrecht of True the Vote, who was (in)famously harassed for years by an alphabet soup of federal agencies in the Obama administration over fears that her nonprofit organization might police the election process and expose government malfeasance. Engelbrecht was and remains unbowed and defiant in defense of American democracy.

D'Souza moves on to Biden family corruption, nailing the Democratic Party presidential pick Joe and his embarrassment-of-a-son Hunter over their lucrative deals with China and the Ukrainian energy company Burisma. (This film was released, of course, prior to the bombshell report of Hunter’s seized laptop containing damning allegations of Sleepy Joe’s participation in international influence-peddling and multimillion-dollar corruption.)

But, D’Souza notes, “The larger goal of the socialist left isn’t just corruption or economic confiscation. It is to force you into conformity” – starting with the repression of religious freedom. He interviews Kelly Shackleford, president of First Liberty, who states that religious freedom is always the “first flashpoint” of a repressive regime’s attempt to suppress threats to government control. “I have never seen anything like what we’re seeing now,” Shackelford says, with the activist left pursuing, for example, legal assaults on Christian bakers or atheist assaults on Christian crosses on public property.

D’Souza concludes Trump Card with praise for President Trump’s courage and pugnacity in standing up to the radical Democratic Party, which would have steamrolled a lesser Republican leader like Mitt Romney. D’Souza also notes that Abe Lincoln gave his life to fight against slavery; “What price are we willing to pay to protect our American dream against the new form of slavery that is socialism?” he asks. Because if we are courageously willing to pay that price, then “with Trump as our leader, we will leave socialism on the ash heap of history.”

Report: As Sudan poised to normalize ties with Israel, Saudis warming up to idea - Ariel Kahana

 by Ariel Kahana

US, Israeli, and Sudanese officials expect Khartoum and Jerusalem to sign an agreement to launch the normalization process in an online ceremony some time in the next few days; senior diplomatic official says Saudis poised to take the same step.

Report: As Sudan poised to normalize ties with Israel, Saudis warming up to idea

A normalization agreement between Israel and Saudi Arabia is in the works, a diplomatic official said Thursday night.

"The Saudis will soon 'come out of the closet,'" the official said.

He also confirmed a report from Israel Hayom that within a few days, Sudan would launch a process of normalization.

Speaking to Israeli journalists, the official added that Sudan's decision to recognize Israel was linked to the country being dropped from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism.

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump's national security adviser, Robert O'Brien, told the Fox & Friends program that "there's more to come" after the recent US-brokered accords between Israel and the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain.

"I think we're going to have some announcements soon on that front," O'Brien said.

Official data posted on the website FlightAware said a private plane flew Wednesday from Tel Aviv to the Sudanese capital of Khartoum, where it stayed for roughly seven hours before returning to Tel Aviv.

Two senior Sudanese officials confirmed the visit. One of them, a senior military figure, said the US-Israeli delegation came to put final touches on a deal establishing ties with Israel. The delegation included Ronen Peretz, the acting director-general of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office, and Brig. Gen. Miguel Correa, the senior director for Gulf Affairs on the US National Security Council, the official said.

A second official said the emerging deal would include Israeli aid and investment, particularly in technology and agriculture. The Americans and Israelis also promised to talk to allies in the Gulf and the West to bring investment and debt relief to Sudan. The visit came at a time of protests in Khartoum and elsewhere in Sudan over dire economic conditions.

High-ranking officials in Khartoum confirmed on Thursday the exclusive report about a nascent normalization deal.

According to the Sudanese official, the agreement would be signed within days, most likely in a Zoom ceremony in which Trump, Netanyahu, and head of Sudan's Transitional Military Council Abdel Fattah al-Burhan would participate. He added that the ceremony would take place online due to the time constraints of the US presidential election.

Another Sudanese official told Israel Hayom that significant progress toward a normalization deal had taken place after a compromise was reached between al-Burhan – who, along with his supporters, back normalization with Israel – and Sudanese Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok, who leads the faction of high-ranking office-holders who oppose normalization.

Hamdok's technocratic government has so far rebuffed US advances aimed at pushing Sudan to follow the lead of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, both of which signed agreements to establish formal ties with Israel at the White House last month.

"The prime minister will proceed in the steps taken by [al-Burhan] to establish ties with Israel if the legislative council, after it is formed, approves the decision to normalize ties," a senior source said.

Khartoum's caution reflects concerns that such a major foreign policy move at a time of deep economic crisis could upset the delicate balance between military and civilian factions, and even put the government at risk, two senior Sudanese government sources said.

In Washington, State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo spoke to Hamdok on Thursday.

"Secretary Pompeo applauded Prime Minister Hamdok's efforts-to-date to improve Sudan's relationship with Israel and expressed hope that they would continue, and underscored continuing US support for Sudan's ongoing democratic transition," she said.

The London-based pan-Arabic news outlet Al Araby al-Jadeed also quoted senior officials in Sudan who confirmed that a deal with Israel would be signed within days, and said that "peace is closer than ever."

According to one senior government official in Khartoum who spoke with Israel Hayom: "The Middle East is changing, and Sudan wants to be part of the process. We have a unique opportunity to rehabilitate our society and our economy. The Palestinians are angry? They're angry with us, when any Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon is in better shape than Sudan? The days when the Palestinian problem was dumped on Sudan are over. We are working for the future of Sudan and our children and grandchildren."

Egypt's President welcomes Israel-Sudan normalization - Elad Benari

 by Elad Benari

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi: I value all efforts aimed at establishing regional peace and stability.

Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi

Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on Friday welcomed the deal normalizing ties between Israel and Sudan.

“I welcome the joint efforts of the United States, Sudan and Israel to normalize relations between Sudan and Israel and I value all efforts aimed at establishing regional peace and stability,” Sisi said in a tweet.

Egypt became the first Arab country to sign a peace treaty with Israel in 1979 and was followed by Jordan, who did not sign a deal with Israel until 1994. Sudan on Friday became the third Arab country in the past two months to normalize ties with Israel, following the UAE and Bahrain.

US President Donald Trump announced the deal earlier on Friday during a call with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Sovereign Council president General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and civilian leader and Sudanese Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok.

“The state of Israel and the Republic of Sudan have agreed to make peace. It’s peace in the Middle East without bloodshed,” he stated.

Trump’s announcement came shortly after he officially removed Sudan from the list of nations that sponsor and finance terrorism.

Facts Matter: Trump’s Real Record on Race - Don Brown

 by Don Brown

President Trump’s real record on progress in improving life for the African-American community makes him a giant among modern American presidents.

It seems that at every debate in which he has participated, whether in 2016 or 2020, Donald Trump gets peppered with the same, worn-out demand to “denounce white supremacists.”

But based on what?

Whether it’s Chris Wallace, or Savannah Guthrie, or Jim Acosta, some other loudmouth reporter screaming the “denounce” demand as the President walks by, this demand, premised upon a lie, gets repeated ad nauseam by dishonest journalists. Their purpose is to create a false impression that Trump has done something, or said something in the past, that makes him a “racist.”

But nothing could be further from the truth.

The president’s record shows something quite the opposite of the insinuations shouted by the Trump-hating members of the liberal media.  In fact, the president’s record, over time, pictures a man with a huge heart and great compassion and love for the African-American community in the United States.

Where to start?

February 2, 1998: Donald Trump sat next to host Jesse Jackson at a Rainbow Coalition/Operation Push “Wall Street Project.” Honoring Trump, Jackson said:

"When we opened this Wall Street project, and we talked about it, he gave us (Operation Rainbow) space at 40 Wall Street, which was to make a statement about our having a presence there. And beyond that, in terms of reaching out and being inclusive, he's done that too. And created for many people a comfort zone, when I ran for the presidency, in 84 and 88. When many others thought it was laughable, he came to our business meeting here in New York.”

 What? Jesse Jackson praising Trump?

In 1996, per the Wall Street Journal, “Trump filed a lawsuit in the U.S. District Court in Palm Beach, alleging that the town discriminated against Trump’s property at Mar-a-Lago, in part because it is open to Jews and African-Americans.” Trump often complained about other Palm Beach social clubs discriminating, and in one suit alleged that "the town commission sought to protect the discriminatory policies (against Jews and Blacks) of many of the town's other private social clubs."

A white supremacist suing to protect blacks and Jews?

As president, Trump pardoned Alice Williams, an African-American grandmother and first-time offender convicted on a nonviolent drug offense. Ms. Williams had received life in prison, under Biden’s 1994 crime bill, which disproportionately imprisoned black Americans for nonviolent offenses.

With the Congress under Democratic control from 2009-2011, and with the power to pass prison reform with full Democrat control of the Congress, Biden and Obama did nothing. They were happy to let decent, nonviolent black Americans like Ms. Williams simply rot their lives away in prison, with no hope for freedom. By their inaction, Biden and Obama showed that they did not care about Williams or other peaceful blacks in prison who deserved a second chance.

The same was true for Biden’s friends in the Democrat-controlled Congress in 2009-2011. But they weren’t interested in prison reform and could care less about helping blacks. They never have cared, and still don’t care. They only wanted the black vote.

In contrast to Obama-Biden, Trump led the charge for prison reform. Trump worked with Congress to pass the "First Step Act," releasing many African nonviolent offenders held in the federal system.

Even Democrat Van Jones, the leftist, African-American CNN pundit and prison-reform advocate, effusively praised Trump, calling the First Step Act a "Christmas miracle.”

Jones said,

" … [e]very time people made a prediction that Donald Trump was going to sell us out, turn on us, wasn’t going to use political capital, he came harder… Donald Trump has got to get the credit. He stood up.”

Obama-Biden had their chance for prison reform but lifted not a finger. And Trump is the "white supremacist?"

Another Trump accomplishment ignored by Obama-Biden? Aid to black colleges.

Trump provided a substantial financial bailout to the Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), again, something that Obama-Biden ignored.

In the Economist on September 19, 2020, Kentucky State University President, M. Christopher Brown said that President Trump “has been beating the drum on HBCUs as a cornerstone of his education platform from month one of his time in office.”

Chrichanni Watson, a minority student at Florida A&M University praised Trump in an op-ed for Breitbart. “That (HBCU support) directly impacts us, as HBCU students, and that’s something that cannot be said for the last administration... you’ve got to give the man some credit.”

Trump gives money and Wall Street real estate to Operation Rainbow, files a lawsuit to protect blacks and Jews in Florida, then as President, passes prison reform and bails out HBCUs, and he’s a racist? A “white supremacist?”

But let’s examine another part of the record:  Trump’s multiple “disavowing” statements, responding to questions about racism, relit without end from the leftist media.

  • March 3, 2016, GOP Primary debate: Trump says, "I totally disavow the Ku Klux Klan. I totally disavow David Duke.”
  • March 6, 2016, Face the Nation: "I reject David Duke, .... I rejected the Ku Klux Klan; from the time I was five years old.”
  • August 15, 2017,  commenting on Charlottesville immediately after saying they were "very fine people on both sides," referring to the legitimate debate about confederate statues, Trump added  "and I'm not talking about the neo-Nazis and the white nationalists, because they should be condemned totally."
  • October 1, 2020, Fox News: "I condemn all white supremacists, I condemn the Proud Boys. I don’t know much about the Proud Boys, but I condemn that.”

Guthrie knew all this at the NBC Town Hall when she issued her “denounce” demand. But she didn’t care about the real facts, because she wanted to mislead voters. But Guthrie isn’t alone in this shameful practice. Fox’s Chris Wallace, who “moderated” the first presidential debate, also gas-lit the issue, demanding Trump “denounce” white supremacists.

When Trump denounced white supremacy, once again, in response to Guthrie’s gaslighting, here’s her response. “[i]t feels sometimes you’re hesitant to do so.”

“It feels?” That’s all you’ve got, Savannah? Feelings, not facts?

America deserves better than having gaslighting propagandists masquerading as journalists whose only aim is to help the Democrat party.

Meanwhile, even beyond his remarkable economic achievements, which led to the highest income level and lowest unemployment levels for black Americans in history, President Trump’s real record on progress in improving life for the African-American community makes him a giant among modern American presidents.

No one has done more, and no one can compare.

Facts matter.

Fighting the New Commissars - Caroline Glick

 by Caroline Glick

Israeli right wingers and conservatives have long suffered from viewpoint discrimination whether by the traditional media, the legal fraternity or social media.

The time for a reckoning with the social media giants has arrived, and not only in the United States.

Earlier this week, Shibbolet Library, a new Israeli book publisher that specializes in conservative authors launched a sales campaign on Facebook. The company invested approximately a hundred thousand shekels ($34,000) on Facebook ads to promote its book sales. Then suddenly, its account was blocked. The campaign was wrecked. The firm’s investment was lost.

Facebook, the corporate giant, replete with its anonymous work force and inscrutable algorithms scuppered the campaign with no prior warning or explanation.

Probably no explanation was necessary. This wasn’t Shibbolet’s first rodeo. Last April, Shibbolet Library launched another sales campaign on Facebook, at a cost of tens of thousands of shekels in Facebook ads. Then too, the nameless, faceless overlords of Facebook stopped the campaign in its tracks by freezing the firm’s Facebook account.

Shibbolet founder and CEO Rotem Sela recalls that he appealed the move seven times.

“It’s actually a bit Kafkaesque to say I appealed because I was never told what I was appealing. We were just selling books. We’re locked down with the coronavirus. All the book stores were closed. Facebook sales were and remain the most direct way for us to keep our business afloat and sell our books. What legitimate problem could Facebook possibly have with our efforts?”

After Sela’s seventh appeal, he was informed that Facebook had decided to permanently freeze Shibbolet’s account. Why? Why bother asking? No one was answering.

Given Facebook’s dominance of online markets, Shibbolet opened a new account, reluctantly forced to accept that it had lost all the client information stored on its previous, now permanently frozen account.

It was with the new account that Shibbolet launched its new campaign – only to be blocked once again.

Facebook’s action this week against Shibbolet of course did not happen in a vacuum. Facebook shut down Shibbolet at the height of the storm in the U.S. over draconian steps that Facebook and Twitter took to block their users’ access to the blockbuster stories the New York Post published last week detailing the contents of emails from Democratic presidential nominee former vice president Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden’s computer. The emails, many of which have since been authenticated and none of which have been denied by either Hunter Biden or the Biden campaign gave weight to previous allegations that during his tenure as vice president, Biden used his position to enrich his family members through shady deals with Ukrainian and Chinese business interests.

Twitter blocked the New York Post’s account and froze accounts of users who shared the Post’s articles both on their public feed and in private messages. Facebook shadow banned the articles, blocking its users from reading them.

Many observers, particularly in Israel were nonplussed by the shock that greeted Facebook’s and Twitter’s aggressive efforts to censor the New York Post articles. To them it seemed like business as usual. Israeli right wingers and conservatives have long suffered from viewpoint discrimination whether by the traditional media, the legal fraternity or social media.

After a years’ long campaign of demonization by the Israeli left, in 2002, Israel’s Supreme Court ordered the closure of Arutz 7 radio station. At the time, Arutz 7 was the only non-leftist broadcast outlet in Israel. In 2014, 43 members of Knesset voted in favor of the notorious “Israel Hayom Law.” The purpose of the law was to shut down this publication, the largest circulation daily in Israel. Israel Hayom was targeted due to its non-leftist editorial policy. To block passage of the law, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu felt compelled to dissolve the Knesset and call early elections.

Last year, Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit took leftist censorship a giant leap forward. Without legal basis, he redefined bribery to include the proffering of positive coverage to right wing politicians and used this new and unfounded definition of bribery as a basis to indict Netanyahu for bribery.

As for social media giants, for years Israeli conservatives and right wing politicians and activist  have shared how Google, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have limited their reach and their ability to earn money online. Writers, (including this one), and politicians have experienced shadow banning of their posts, demonetizing of their Facebook and YouTube accounts and removal of Google ads from their websites.

But jaded Israeli right wingers are wrong. There is something new – and ominous — happening. The New York Post isn’t a blogger. It is a major newspaper. And for over a week, its Twitter account, with more than a million followers has been shut down. Shibbolet doesn’t organize protests. It publishes books by authors like Peggy Noonan and James Q. Wilson. By targeting them for censorship and deplatforming, Facebook and Twitter made clear that they aren’t worried about public safety or health. They seek to squelch conservativism and all significant challenges to leftist power. And with their commanding dominance of information flow throughout the world, their naked determination to silence these voices manifests a clear and present danger to the freedom of societies.

Although it may go without saying, it bears noting just how disillusioning all of this is.

Since the advent of the internet, and certainly since it became the dominant means of both global and local communications, conservatives greeted its rise with glee and relief. This was nowhere truer than in Israel. Israeli rightists saw the internet and the social media platforms that came to dominate it as their salvation.

True, the broadcast media and the vast majority of print media in the country are dominated by the left. True, all efforts to privatize public broadcasting radio and television stations entirely dominated by the left have failed. But the internet, Israeli conservatives said, would level the playing field, finally.

With platforms like Facebook, everyone from Netanyahu to the Council of Jewish Communities in Judea and Samaria was convinced that the left’s longstanding stranglehold on the media was finally over. Right wing and conservative Israelis could share their ideas and inform the public of their actions directly without the filter of the hostile media.

But the shocking censorship of the New York Post in America on the one hand, and a little conservative publishing house in Israel on the other are clear signs that the party is over. Regardless of who wins the U.S. presidential election next month, the Rubicon has been crossed. The cat is out of the bag. The mask is off. Unless they are reined in, Facebook, Twitter, Google, YouTube and their subsidiaries will push forwards with more and more draconian limitations on the flow of information that deviates from their ideological and fiduciary interests.

When word got out this week that Facebook had squelched Shibbolet – again – Likud MKs Amit Halevy and Ariel Kelner published posts on Twitter threatening to take legislative action against Facebook. The threats worked. Shibbolet’s account was reinstated. In fact, the account Facebook “permanently” froze in April quickly thawed.

While this is a positive development, it isn’t a business model. Conservative businesses – and business owners — cannot build their commercial model around faith that lawmakers will defend them on Twitter or that the trillion-dollar conglomerates will long care what lawmakers say or do.

Recognizing the dimension of the threat, Wednesday Halevy initiated Knesset action on the issue. He submitted a bill titled, “Social Media Responsibility for Content Published on its Platforms.”

If passed into law, Halevy’s bill will divide social media companies into two categories: those that interfere in content posted on their platforms and those that do not. Currently, both types of companies enjoy immunity from lawsuits related to content posted or blocked on their platforms.

Halevy’s bill would maintain the exemption for social media companies that do not interfere with content on their platforms without a court order or a clear legal obligation to do so. On the other hand, social media companies that interfere with the content on their platforms would no longer enjoy immunity from legal actions by users harmed by the content on their platforms.

Halevy’s bill also requires companies that interfere with the content of its platforms to operate in a transparent way. They would be required to explain precisely what sort of content they censor. And they would be required to publish annual reports delineating precisely which posts they censored and why. Users would be notified before the companies take action against their content and be given an opportunity to defend themselves.

President Donald Trump and prominent Republican lawmakers have pledged to take similar action against Facebook, Twitter and other social media giants after the election. The Department of Justice filed an anti-trust lawsuit against Google earlier this week.

These initiatives are critical. And they shouldn’t stand on their own. They should rather be the first shots of concerted campaign to limit the power of these gargantuan companies that control nearly all global information.

Freedom of expression and the free flow of information are the foundations of free societies. Rather than use their unprecedented power to secure both, social media giants are manipulating information and censoring speech with a power that no one could have fathomed just 20 years ago. Optimism and hope for their positive potential blinded many of us to their actual dangers. The time has come to take on this new and pernicious threat to the future of free nations and free people.

How corrupt is FBI director Wray? Let me count the ways - Pete McArdle

 by Pete McArdle

[Wray has] consistently fought the release of material relevant to FBI misdeeds as if his life depended on it. Maybe it does.

If Americans disgusted at the shameless, partisan shenanigans of former FBI head James Comey thought Christopher Wray was going to come in and clean house at the now disgraced agency, they've got another think coming.

To be fair, incoming Director Wray was faced with a multitude of questionable FBI actions — and failures to act — by Comey, McCabe, Strzok, Page, Clinesmith, et al.  There is voluminous evidence, for those with eyes to see, that Comey's crew purposely tanked two separate investigations into Crooked Hillary and the Clinton Foundation.  They followed that up by setting up President Trump's national security adviser, Gen. Mike Flynn, and trying to imprison him for doing nothing wrong, a process that continues to this day thanks to rogue federal judge Emmet Sullivan.

Worse still, the FBI was also busy spying on Donald Trump, his campaign, and his administration, based on nonsense they knew was paid for by Hillary Clinton and promoted by John Brennan, the equally repulsive and mendacious head of Obama's CIA.

In the course of that particular scam, the FBI lied through their teeth to FISA judges — who, based on their reaction, seem to be OK with it — and coordinated their slanderous claims with members of the press, all so the American public would think their president was Vladimir Putin's pawn.

But that wasn't enough for the Comey Gang, no.  In a move that made J. Edgar Hoover look like a poor man's Ru Paul, FBI director Comey leaked confidential memos to a fellow leftist in the hope that it would result in a special counsel investigation.  It did, and who headed up that that particular fraud?

Why, yet another bent Feeb, former director Robert Mueller.  Mueller, if he even knew what day of the week it was, knew with certainty that the Steele Dossier was crap and that his team of partisan Democrats and Trump-haters had no place to go and no way to get there.  Yet the owlish Mueller wasted nearly two years and over thirty million taxpayer dollars, only to come to the bizarre conclusion that while President Trump was guilty of nothing, he could not be exonerated.

Faced with this veritable mountain of FBI deceit, skullduggery, and treason, Christopher Wray had two choices.  He could release all information related to prior Bureau malfeasance and terminate or charge all the bad actors involved.  Or he could please his Deep State/Democrat masters and cover it all up.

Wray, it appears, has chosen the latter.

Christopher Wray.
Caricature by Donkey Hotey, CC BY 2.0.

He's consistently fought the release of material relevant to FBI misdeeds as if his life depended on it.  Maybe it does.

Many of the Bureau's worst miscreants still have jobs, and at present, no apologies have been made to President Trump or the American people.  When asked about FISA court abuse, spying on a president without predication, and the eye-opening emails sent by supposedly unbiased special agents, all Wray could say was "mistakes were made."

Indeed.  President Trump somehow picking Wray as Comey's successor may have been the worst mistake of his presidency.  Not content with simply stonewalling investigations into potential FBI crimes, Wray has also continued the new FBI tradition of trying to undermine or take down a duly elected president.

In September, Wray told a congressional committee that Russia was trying hard to sway the 2020 election toward Trump.  Apparently, he forgot that his pal Comey had already used that gambit against President Trump without success.  If FBI heads are indeed the brightest of the brightest, you'd think Wray could have come up with something less stale and more plausible.

In October, Wray, watching along with us as Antifa thugs and their BLM brethren broke laws, windows, and heads with impunity, surmised that Antifa is more of an idea than an actual organization.  The poor souls who'd had their heads broken by an idea were, sadly, unavailable for comment.  To make things worse, Director Wray also claimed that the real threat facing America is the white supremacist movement.

Darn those Ku Klux Klansmen!

According to the feckless Wray, they're ready to put us all back in chains again, or something to that effect.  It apparently doesn't matter to the head of the FBI that white supremacists are more rare than honest newscasters at CNN.  It appears that Wray, much like his fellow travelers at CNN, is just a Democrat party parrot — and parrots gonna parrot.

But it gets worse.  Much worse.

Now, mere days before the presidential election, we learn from Hunter Biden's abandoned hard drive that his dad Joe was up to his hair plugs in graft.  According to Hunter's emails and those of his associates, it was then V.P. Biden who set up the influence-peddling schemes in Russia, China, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine.  Hapless Hunter was merely the bagman while Joe Biden and his family all got a generous cut of the action.

But that's not the most shocking part of this sordid tale. What's utterly mind-blowing is that Wray and the FBI have had Hunter Biden's hard drive in their possession since last December. And did absolutely nothing with it.

Christopher Wray ignored all the evidence suggesting that the entire Biden clan was splitting the moolah from Hunter's no-show job in the Ukraine. He knew the truth but stayed silent, even as President Trump was being impeached for suggesting to the Ukrainian president that he look into the sketchy Biden-Burisma doings.

Wray also kept it to himself that Joe Biden could already be compromised by numerous foreign entities.

Wray may even have looked the other way at clear evidence of child abuse, according to those who've seen the disturbing photos and videos on Hunter's hard drive.

So many potential crimes, yet Director Wray did and said nothing. Why?

Because, like the tall, sanctimonious doofus before him, FBI Director Wray thinks he should decide who get's elected president, not the voters.

And Wray's clearly willing to withhold critical documents, spew Russia collusion nonsense, ignore Antifa and BLM criminality, and sit on evidence that would wreck Joe Biden's campaign for almost a year now.

When it comes to the rot and corruption present in today's FBI, that fish truly does stink from the head down.

But instead of feeling angry and abused, I look forward, with great anticipation and a surfeit of schadenfreude, to two events likely to occur soon — ideally, within hours of each other.

The first would be Donald Trump winning four more years!

And the second would be Christopher "Look the other way" Wray getting canned. Ideally, by tweet.

The US: An Inspirational Leader in the Middle East - Con Coughlin

 by Con Coughlin

The breakthrough in the peace process -- has resulted in the region being clearly divided between moderate, peace-loving countries -- and rejectionist regimes

  • By taking a robust approach to some of the region's more intractable issues... such as relocating the American embassy to Jerusalem, the US has produced a number of profound changes to the regional landscape, the consequences of which are likely to be felt for many years to come.

  • The breakthrough in the peace process, moreover, has resulted in the region being clearly divided between moderate, peace-loving countries that are prepared to engage in the peace process, and rejectionist regimes, such as Turkey and Iran, that are only interested in causing further bloodshed.

  • It is these countries, as well as China, Russia, North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela that have most to fear in next month's presidential election if a strong and successful America returns again.

When it comes to confronting the many challenges that face the modern Middle East, the United States has proved itself to be truly inspirational at leading during the last four years. Pictured from left to right: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US President Donald Trump, Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan at the signing ceremony of the Abraham Accords at the White House on September 15, 2020 in Washington, DC. (Photo by Alex Wong/Getty Images)

When it comes to confronting the many challenges that face the modern Middle East, the United States has proved itself to be truly inspirational at leading during the last four years.

From achieving a remarkable breakthrough in the Israeli-Arab peace process to curbing the malign activities of Iran's Islamic revolution in the region, the US has already succeeded in establishing a legacy that is the envy of many of its previous administrations.

A succession of American presidents, from Ronald Reagan to Barack Obama, have attempted -- and failed -- to break the endless cycle of violence that has come to characterise the region. It has only been the current distinctive style of US leadership that has made a decisive impact on the landscape of the Middle East.

The US has managed to achieve these profound changes, moreover, at a time when the omens were less than auspicious than when the current term began in 2017.

Back then, the region was in the midst of a bitter war against the fanatics of ISIS, who had seized control of large swathes of northern Syria and Iraq and were attempting to impose their barbaric form of government on the unhappy inhabitants of their so-called caliphate.

It was mainly thanks to decisive US action in fighting the jihadis that the American-led coalition was finally able to inflict a devastating defeat against the ISIS fanatics. Soon after the inauguration, the US dramatically revised the rules of engagement that had been in place under the prior administration, which had severely limited the ability of coalition forces to target ISIS terrorists. As a result, the US-led coalition was able to achieve its goal of destroying the caliphate and inflicting heavy losses on the ISIS fanatics, to the extent that today the caliphate has been reduced to rubble.

For good measure, the US even succeeded in eliminating Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the mastermind of the ISIS reign of terror, while thousands more have either been killed or face being brought to justice, as is the case with the two British jihadis that belonged to an ISIS cell known as "The Beatles" who were earlier this month flown to the US to stand trial for their crimes, allegedly participating in the murders of the American journalists James Foley and Steven Sotloff, as well as the humanitarian aid workers Peter Kassig and Kayla Mueller.

Indeed, it could be argued that the decisive action of the US has redefined the map of the Middle East, drawing a distinction between moderate, pro-Western Arab governments like the Gulf states that uphold the virtues of moderation and stability, and those, such as Iran, Turkey and Syria, that seek to sow discord and unrest.

Washington's peace initiative with the Taliban is another area where the administration's very different approach to Afghanistan's long-running civil war has surprised its critics. While the negotiations between the Taliban and the Afghan government still have a long way to go before a comprehensive peace agreement is signed, the fact that Washington has been able to sign an accord with the Taliban, with the prospect of ending two decades of continuous conflict, is nevertheless a significant achievement, one that will enable Mr Trump to fulfil his pledge to reduce America's military presence in the country.

Another area where decisive US action has had a dramatic impact on the region is its insistence on withdrawing from the flawed nuclear deal with Iran and reimposing sanctions against the mullahs. This has had a devastating impact on Tehran's ability to meddle in the affairs of its Arab neighbours. With the Iranian economy crippled by sanctions, the regime no longer has the resources available to continue financing its terrorist infrastructure throughout the region at the same level it did previously.

The carefully-targeted assassination of Quds Force commander Qassem Soleimani in January also dealt a significant blow to Tehran's ability to destabilise the region.

It is the remarkable breakthrough, though, that the current US administration has achieved in the Arab-Israeli peace process that will stand as the crowning achievement of the last four years.

As a result of the unstinting efforts made by Jared Kushner, the US president's son-in-law, to break the impasse in the peace process, Israel is now moving towards establishing normal diplomatic ties with the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, while a number of other Arab countries -- including Saudi Arabia -- are giving serious consideration to following suit. In the latest diplomatic move aimed at improving relations in the region, Washington announced that Sudan is the next country that will be establishing normal ties with Israel.

Major diplomatic breakthroughs of this nature would have been considered unthinkable when the administration first came to power. By taking a robust approach to some of the region's more intractable issues, however, such as relocating the American embassy to Jerusalem, the US has produced a number of profound changes in the regional landscape, the consequences of which are likely to be felt for many years to come.

The breakthrough in the peace process, moreover, has resulted in the region being clearly divided between moderate, peace-loving countries that are prepared to engage in the peace process, and rejectionist regimes, such as Turkey and Iran, that are only interested in causing further bloodshed.

It is these countries, as well as China, Russia, North Korea, Cuba and Venezuela, that have most to fear in next month's presidential election if a strong and successful America returns again.

How to Steal an Election - Part III - Chris Farrell

 by Chris Farrell

When the truth cannot be reported, it is worse than being lied to about what is truly happening.

  • Here comes the offensive information campaign. Election night results indicate a Trump victory. The Left wants to keep counting and counting and counting ballots until they get the number that lets them claim victory -- they want election "season."

  • Trump and his campaign have sufficient state election returns and polling data to claim victory. Trump tweets: "VICTORY!" Twitter takes it down and locks his account, and those of his campaign. He goes out to the campaign hotel ballroom for a victory speech and only OneAmerica News Network carries the speech. Trump's proclamations are branded "fake news." Zero coverage. Networks and other news media outlets show poll workers and election officials counting and counting and counting "contested" ballots. The news media and the social media giants will not let Trump win. That is not the headline they will allow. Efforts by the Trump campaign to claim victory and certify election results are subjected to endless lawsuits -- all of which are reported on by media outlets, because Trump has (supposedly) been caught cheating, of course.

  • You see how this plays out. When the truth cannot be reported, it is worse than being lied to about what is truly happening. The insidious plot of the Left can irretrievably twist the constitution and the nation in just a very few days. Fight for the truth.

The social media tech titans are doing their best to make sure the story of the Hunter Biden laptops, and the damning records contained therein, does not spread. Twitter has suspended the New York Post's account because of the story and locked the Trump campaign's account over a Hunter Biden-related video. (Photo of logos by Denis Charlet/AFP via Getty Images)

We are less than two weeks from election day, so here is your final installment to help you understand the theft of the upcoming presidential election. We previously established the Left's documented plan to disrupt the 2020 presidential election, and then examined some of the information operations techniques deployed against the American public to persuade and influence the election "season" ahead.

In the past few days, we have been treated to an information suppression operation by the Left and their public relations arm (the "journalists" of the news media and social media tech giants) -- that perfectly demonstrates the countermeasures that can be deployed to actively deny the truth. This important defensive technique -- swarming and shutting down reporting on a subject by furiously ignoring it, or reporting it as "debunked," "discredited," or "foreign intervention." The offensive application is discussed below, but first, some context.

There is little doubt that Gatestone Institute readers are the sort of folk who will have successfully gained access to the reports, first broken by the New York Post, of the Hunter Biden laptops and the damning records contained therein. The social media tech titans are doing their best to make sure the story does not spread. Twitter has suspended the New York Post's account because of the story and locked the Trump campaign's account over a Hunter Biden-related video.

Hunter appears to have explicitly leveraged his father's position as Vice President -- and there was "consideration" planned for the "Big Guy." It seems as if Joe Biden knew or should have known what was going on. Forget the idea that reporters would pressure the Biden campaign to give substantive answers to any questions regarding this scandal. The only tough question Biden has been asked recently was what flavor milkshake he bought. You are supposed to believe this is "normal."

Here is why you are supposed to unblinkingly swallow this nonsense: You have been psychologically conditioned to accept it. Zero analysis. Zero questioning. Consume. Digest. Accept. Ask for more, politely. Be satiated.

In previous election-theft articles, we explained how the Transition Integrity Project (TIP) report and the subsequent news media reporting about it are components of psychological warfare within the broader Leftist national information warfare campaign. We reviewed how the goal is to break down and weaken Trump support before, during and after election day. We explained how TIP has coordinated a dishonest storyline as the official narrative of the 2020 presidential election and alerted the militant wing of their movement to seize control of the lead-up to election day and beyond.

Here comes the offensive information campaign. Election night results indicate a Trump victory. The Left wants to keep counting and counting and counting ballots until they get the number that lets them claim victory -- they want election "season." Trump and his campaign have sufficient state election returns and polling data to claim victory.

You see how this plays out. When the truth cannot be reported, it is worse than being lied to about what is truly happening. The insidious plot of the Left can irretrievably twist the constitution and the nation in just a very few days. Fight for the truth.

There’s Something About Barry - Lloyd Billingsley

 by Lloyd Billingsley

Fun facts about POTUS 44 that might simplify the November election.

“Listen, can you imagine if I had had a secret Chinese bank account when I was running for re-election? You think Fox News might have been a little concerned about that? They would have called me Beijing Barry.”

That was Barack Obama, campaigning in Pennsylvania for basement-bound Joe Biden, unable or unwilling to speak for himself, and perhaps ordered not to. Anyone tuning in might wonder why ex-president Barack would refer to himself as “Barry.” As some may have forgotten, he did the same in his founding narrative, Dreams from My Father, way back in 1995.

At the outset, he is Barry, stepson of Lolo Soetoro, the Indonesian foreign student his mother Ann Dunham married in 1966. By the end of the book Barry Soetoro has become Barack Obama, son of the Kenyan foreign student who died in a car accident in 1982. The retooled Barack went on to become a U.S. senator and the 44th president of the United States. A few months after he left office, official biographer David Garrow delivered a bombshell review of the president’s founding narrative.

“Dreams from My Father was not a memoir or an autobiography; it was instead, in multitudinous ways, without any question a work of historical fiction (Garrows’ italics). It featured many true-to-life figures and a bevy of accurately described events that indeed had occurred, but it employed the techniques and literary license of a novel, and its most important composite character was the narrator himself.”

To spot-weld the Pulitzer Prize winner, Dreams was a novel and the author a fictitious character. Garrow’s massive Rising Star: The Making of Barack Obama provides other revelations about the man who in 2020 again calls himself Barry. In Indonesia, for example, Barry attended the “predominately Muslim” Besuki school, hardly his only influence.

Barry’s beloved Frank Marshall Davis, the poet “Frank” in the novel, was a dangerous subversive on DETCOM, the FBI’s most wanted list of Communists marked for immediate detention in case of a national emergency. As Garrow explains, “Davis’ Communist background plus his kinky exploits made him politically radioactive.” So Frank duly vanished from the audio version of Dreams and made no appearance in The Audacity of Hope.

“You masquerade, you pompous jive, you act,” girlfriend Genevieve Gook wrote in a poem to Barry. “You think you got it taken care of, but I’m tellin’ you bro, you don’t.” Pompous Barry took it in stride. He hooked up with the erudite Sheila Miyoshi Jager, who told Garrow she was “completely missing” from Dreams and wonders “if the unedited Dreams is as inaccurate as the published version.” On the other hand, Barry has a lot to say about the Rev. Jeremiah Wright.

Barry “felt at home,” in Wright’s church, and it was the  explicitly political aspect to the message, “that I found appealing.” Barry also spends time with Weather Underground alums Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, but as he told Garrow, “it wasn’t until I moved to Chicago and became a community organizer that I think I really grew into myself in terms of my identity.” On that theme, Garrow omits a key detail.

In his written communications from 1958 to 1964, including more than 20 letters, the Kenyan Barack Obama mentions nothing about an American wife and Hawaiian-born son. Still, Barry had strong disagreements over Rising Star, but other books shed light on his presidential career.

As Sharyl Attkisson noted in StonewalledMy Fight for Truth Against Obstruction, Intimidation and Harassment in Obama’s Washington, the president said he campaigned in 57 states, invented the “Austrian” language, and thought Savannah was on the Gulf Coast. The administration targeted “those on to something big,” such as the “Fast and Furious” scandal. The liberal Attkisson found her computer infiltrated with spyware proprietary to government agencies such as the CIA and FBI.

Establishment media and government formed such an interlocking directorate, Attkisson found, that “stories may as well have been written by the White House.” On Obamacare, journalists accepted everything from the government at “face value,” with critics demonized, the familiar pattern of a totalitarian state.

The president who did all that, told people they could keep their health plan, and shipped billions in cash to Iran, is now campaigning for his addled vice president Joe Biden. Should Biden be victorious, as some see it, Democrats would quickly deploy the 25th Amendment to topple Biden and install Kamala Harris. After the election, meanwhile, another dynamic kicks in.

On Tuesday November 17, Penguin Random House will release A Promised Land, the first of two volumes by former president Barack Obama. As he explains, the 768-page book will provide “an honest accounting” of his presidential campaign and thoughts on “how we can heal the divisions in our country going forward and make our democracy work for everybody.”

The former president clearly expects to call the shots, so voters have good cause to consider him still on the ballot. This time, however, they know for certain that his founding narrative, Dreams from My Father is a novel, and the author Barack Obama a fictitious character. That might simplify voters’ task on November 3. As President Trump says, we’ll have to see what happens.
