Jews and Israel Supporters Have a Natural Home in the GOP and True Friend in Trump - Jeremy Frankel

by Jeremy Frankel

Trump’s early actions reaffirm his support for Israel and the Jewish people, making a strong case for Jews to leave the Democrat Party for good.

The first few weeks of the Trump administration demonstrated that the Jewish people have a true friend in the White House.

However, if that theme hadn’t been obvious beforehand, even the first hours of the administration made it profoundly clear.

One scene in particular spoke volumes throughout the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States.

It was not the pre-inauguration rally, the swearing-in ceremony, the inaugural parade, or the inaugural ball. Instead, it was a scene that should convince all Jewish Americans, or anyone who cares about Israel, to abandon the Democrat Party forever.

Trump, the people’s president, decided that the freed Israeli hostages and their families would be standing directly behind him as he stood at Capital One Arena during his inaugural parade. As the most powerful person on the planet, with everyone clamoring for his attention, Trump could have chosen anyone to stand in those coveted spots, with millions of people watching. But the people’s president made the right and moral choice to make a statement that, once again, the United States will side with good over evil, morality over barbarity, and Western Civilization over radical Islamic terror.

And that theme has continued throughout the first few weeks of the new administration.

On the first day of the new administration, the sanctions on Jews in Judea and Samaria, now known as the “West Bank,” put in place by the Biden regime, were revoked by Trump. The original executive order, Executive Order 14115, issued on February 1, 2024, had placed sanctions on certain Israeli groups “on Persons Undermining Peace, Security, and Stability in the West Bank.”

Sadly, but unsurprisingly, a mere four months after the October 7th terrorist massacres and kidnappings, the problem was, to the left and the Democrat Party, the Jews.

Trump has, since then, revoked Biden’s revocations of Trump’s prior sanctions against officials of the International Criminal Court (ICC), placed new sanctions on the ICC, withdrew the U.S. from the World Health Organization (WHO), has started to put an end to Marxist, antisemitic DEI practices throughout the government, lifted Biden’s restrictions on weapons shipments to Israel, and signed an executive order to deport pro-Hamas rioters on college campuses. Moreover, Trump has moved to defund the terror-infested United Nations Relief & Works Agency (UNRWA) (whose members were directly implicated in the October 7th attacks), withdrew from the Israel-hating United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), ordered a review of the Israel-hating, antisemitic United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and other UN and international agencies funded by the U.S., and reinstated maximum sanctions on the Islamist, terrorist-supporting regime in Iran.

Most of these actions by Trump are reversing what the previous administration did, with cheers and support from the left and the Democrat Party, such as the Biden regime’s sending of hundreds of millions of dollars to UNRWA, rejoining the Human Rights Council, and funding of Iran.

It should also be noted that every Senate Democrat aside from John Fetterman voted against a bill codifying the ICC sanctions into law, including the self-proclaimed “shomer” (Hebrew for “guardian”) of the Jews, Chuck Schumer.

In addition, as opposed to the past Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who, the day after October 7th, posted on X his support for a ceasefire because, again, apparently the real problem was the Jews, current Secretary of State Marco Rubio has reaffirmed the U.S.’s commitment to the Jewish state. Rubio, in his first phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, congratulated him on “Israel’s successes against Hamas and Hezbollah and pledged to work tirelessly to help free all remaining hostages held in Gaza.”

The new Justice Department under Attorney General Pam Bondi is no exception to the new rule of America having Israel’s back. For example, earlier this month, pursuant to Trump’s sweeping Executive Order called “[A]dditional Measures to Combat Anti-Semitism,” the DOJ formed a multi-agency Task Force to Combat Antisemitism, whose first priority is to “root out anti-Semitic harassment in schools and on college campuses.” According to Harvard student and activist Shabbos Kestenbaum, the Biden DOJ refused Jewish students when they asked that similar measures be taken at the time. In contrast, these groups supporting Hamas have also been funded by radical leftist self-hating Jew George Soros, a major Democrat donor who was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Biden during his final month in office.

Bondi has also established a joint task force committed to investigating the October 7th perpetrators and seeking justice for the victims, which will, in addition to prosecuting terrorist violence, also prosecute “antisemitic civil rights violations” and “other federal crimes” committed by supporters of Hamas in the U.S., including on college campuses.

It is clear that, much as the love for Israel and the Jewish people permeated the first Trump presidency, such as its withdrawing from the Obama-era nuclear “deal” with Islamist Iran, recognizing Jerusalem as the undivided capital of the Jewish state, the passage of the Taylor Force Act, and the 2019 Executive Order on Combatting Anti-Semitism, President Trump and the Republican Party are committed to continuing the friendship between the two countries that represent Western Civilization to the rest of the world.

Netanyahu would likely agree, as he called Trump “the greatest friend that Israel has ever had in the White House” in an interview with Fox News host Mark Levin last week.

Trump has, and will continue, to prove himself as such—the best friend Israel has ever had, and the best friend the Jews have ever had.

American Jews have seemingly been taking note of this in recent years, as the Republicans have been increasingly earning their vote in presidential elections. Still, we should pray that it becomes a permanent trend in the right direction.

The GOP is the natural home for the Jewish people. The contrast between the last few weeks and the prior four years regarding Israel and the Jews should be a mass catalyst for anyone who supports Israel and the Jewish people to JEXIT– to leave the Democrat Party and never look back.
