San Francisco boots Chesa Boudin -- while Ammar Campa-Najjar, grandson of Munich terrorist, heads for a November run-off.
San Francisco voters have ousted district attorney Chesa Boudin, son of Weather Underground terrorists, by a 60-40 margin. Richie Greenberg, the registered independent who led the effort, explains the reasons for the recall.
“This is people-powered, it’s local voters flabbergasted by the gross negligence and malicious pro-crime, pro-drug dealer, pro-attacks against Asian communities and the rhetoric of the disgraced Chesa Boudin,” Greenberg wrote in a June 7 statement. “To make real change in San Francisco, Boudin himself must be held accountable, because he refused to hold criminals accountable.”
Chesa Boudin (pictured above) is the son of Weather Underground terrorist Kathy Boudin, who served 22 years in prison for her role in an assault on an armored car in Nyack, New York. The attack claimed the lives of police officers Waverly Brown and Edward O’Grady along with security guard Peter Paige.
Chesa was named after Joanne Chesimard of the Black Liberation Army, a gang of cop-hunting criminals that assassinated at least six police officers in the early 1970s. Chesimard escaped from prison in 1979 and lives in Cuba, which refuses to extradite her. Kathy Boudin assisted in the armed robbery that funded Chesimard’s jail break. Now renamed Assata Shakur, Chesimard is a hero to Black Lives Matter.
With parents Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert imprisoned, Chesa was duly adopted by Weather underground stalwarts Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. She gained fame for the celebration of the Manson murders. “Dig it!” Dohrn told an SDS rally, “First they killed these pigs, then they ate dinner in the same room with them!”
Young Chesa never rebelled against his radical leftist parents. He rose through the leftist ranks, earned a law degree, and became a propagandist for Venezuela’s socialist dictatorship under Hugo Chavez.
“It’s time for radical change to how we envision justice,” Boudin said in a 2019 statement when running for office. “I’m humbled to be a part of this movement that is unwavering in its demand for transformation.” The people of San Francisco quickly found out what he had in mind.
In his first two years, Katy Grimes of the California Globe reports, Boudin opted not to prosecute or undercharged many violent and deadly crimes. Grimes also recalls that Chesa Boudin, “was magically elected after four days of counting ballots.”
Boudin is pro-crime, not “soft on crime.” He is not a liberal, and not a reformer. A reformer would aim to expand justice for innocents, and uphold the law to protect life and property. Chesa Boudin did neither.
“People have died under Chesa Boudin’s watch,” Richie Greenberg explains. “Lives have been ruined, families broken, business shuttered.” The failure to hold criminals accountable, “is a dereliction of duty. Its fraud, a heinous misuse of public trust, it’s dangerous, and highly destructive.”
What Greenberg calls a left-center-right coalition has booted Chesa Boutin from office. Down in Chula Vista, in San Diego County, it’s a different story.
Ammar Campa-Najjar, described as the “the son of a Mexican American mother and a Middle Eastern immigrant father,” served in the Obama labor department and worked on the president’s reelection campaign in 2012. At the time it did not emerge that Ammar was the grandson of Muhammad Yusuf al-Najjar, mastermind of the 1972 terrorist attack at the Munich Olympics that claimed the lives of 11 Israeli athletes.
How the terrorist’s son Yasser al-Najjar managed to enter the United States is a matter of some mystery. In 2003, Linda Gradstein of National Public Radio interviewed Yasser al-Najjar at his office in Gaza. Al-Najjar was then serving as “the head of the European division in the Palestinian Authority’s Ministry of Planning and Cooperation.”
Al-Najjar did not explain when, exactly, he entered the United States, earned an MBA from San Diego State, and operated three clothing boutiques. His son Ammar lived in Gaza but claims he was born in San Diego. If anybody thought Ammar’s story is unbelievable it would be hard to blame them.
The self-described Latino Arab-American lost runs for Congress in 2018 and 2022. This year he ran for mayor in Chula Vista, near the Mexican border. Early returns showed Republican John McCann in the lead with 30.88 percent of the vote and Campa-Najjar second with 22.14 percent. The two receiving the most votes will advance to a run-off election in November.
To the north in Los Angeles, crime is surging under Soros-backed district attorney George Gascon, who preceded Chesa Boudin in San Francisco. Voters are now gathering signatures to recall Gascon.
Across the country, Americans battle crime, inflation and corrupt government. With a left-center-right coalition in the style of the Boutin recall, things could get exciting in November. As Trump likes to say, we’ll have to see what happens.
In the meantime, September 5 will mark 50 years since the Munich terrorist attack masterminded by Muhammad Yusuf al-Najjar.
