Throughout October 2012, 116 rockets and 55 mortar shells were launched towards IsraelThe number of attacks in the Judea and Samaria stayed the same: 39 attacks, similar to that in September. Jerusalem on the other hand saw a slight increase in the number of attacks: 31 as opposed to 28 in September.
This month's terror attacks resulted in five casualties: An Israeli civilian was injured by a firebomb in Samaria (October 21); an IDF officer was injured in an IED attack on Gaza's border (October 23); and three foreign workers were injured by rockets fired from Gaza towards Israel (October 24).

Following is a regional distribution of attacks:
96 attacks from the Gaza Strip (23 in September); 39 attacks in the Judea and Samaria (as in September); 31 attacks in Jerusalem (28 in September).
Jerusalem and the Judea and Samaria area: Most attacks executed in October (68 out of 70) were in the form of firebombs (September: 65 out of 67).

The Gaza Strip – 96 attacks: 72 rocket launchings; 20 mortar shell launchings; 1 small arms shooting; 2 IED; 1 AA.
Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem – 70 attacks: 1 stabbing; 1 explosive device; 68 firebombs (31 in Jerusalem).

Throughout October 2012, 116 rockets and 55 mortar shells were launched towards Israel, (in 92 attacks), compared to 17 rockets and 8 mortar shells, in September (in 25 attacks).
