DNI Gabbard sends declassified evidence to DOJ for possible prosecution of ‘treasonous conspiracy’ - Jerry Dunleavy

by Jerry Dunleavy

Tulsi Gabbard sends DOJ evidence related to the actions of senior intelligence officials before and after the creation of the 2016 intelligence community assessment on Russian meddling.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has sent declassified evidence to the Justice Department on what she dubbed a “treasonous conspiracy” related to top U.S. intelligence officials allegedly politicizing intelligence related to Russia and the 2016 election.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) on Friday issued a press release stating that Gabbard had “revealed overwhelming evidence that demonstrates how, after President Trump won the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton, President Obama and his national security cabinet members manufactured and politicized intelligence to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President Trump.”

Gabbard said the evidence she had unearthed had been forwarded to the DOJ for review. Earlier this month, CIA Director John Ratcliffe also sent a criminal referral to FBI Director Kash Patel related to possible alleged criminality by Obama CIA Director John Brennan, a source previously told Just the News.

“The information we are releasing today clearly shows there was a treasonous conspiracy in 2016 committed by officials at the highest level of our government. Their goal was to subvert the will of the American people and enact what was essentially a years-long coup with the objective of trying to usurp the President from fulfilling the mandate bestowed upon him by the American people,” Gabbard said Friday. “No matter how powerful, every person involved in this conspiracy must be investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, to ensure nothing like this ever happens again... As such, I am providing all documents to the Department of Justice to deliver the accountability that President Trump, his family, and the American people deserve.”

Much of the focus of Gabbard’s statements and declassifications related to the Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) which was completed in December 2016 and released in a public forum in early January 2017.

These declassifications by Gabbard come on the heels of the CIA’s recent eight-page “lessons learned” review — released earlier in July — which concluded that “the decision by agency heads to include the Steele Dossier in the ICA ran counter to fundamental tradecraft principles and ultimately undermined the credibility of a key judgment.” The CIA’s recent review also critiqued the “high confidence” assessment by the FBI and the CIA that Russian leader Vladimir Putin had “aspired” to help Trump win in 2016.

Steele, a former MI6 agent, had been hired in 2016 by the opposition research firm Fusion GPS, which was being paid by Clinton campaign lawyer Marc Elias. The dossier, now discredited, was used by the FBI to obtain FISA warrants against a Trump campaign official, and evidence continues to emerge about how it was included in the ICA on Russia and the 2016 election.

The Gabbard-led intelligence office said of the December 2016 ICA that “after months of investigation into this matter, the facts reveal this new assessment was based on information that was known by those involved to be manufactured i.e. the Steele Dossier or deemed as not credible.”

ODNI’s Director’s Initiatives Group released “Declassified Evidence of Obama Administration Conspiracy to Subvert President Trump’s 2016 Victory and Presidency” on Friday, sharing 114 pages of newly declassified and largely unredacted emails and intelligence reports, as well as publishing what it dubbed a “Russia Hoax memo.”

The 11-page memo had as its subject line, “Intelligence Community suppression of intelligence showing ‘Russian and criminal actors did not impact’ the 2016 presidential election via cyber-attacks on infrastructure.” The memo included a timeline which detailed “Key Intelligence Manipulated and Withheld from the American People by the IC.”

A newly-declassified assessment by the U.S. intelligence community from September 2016, first reported by Just the News, showed the IC did not seem overly concerned by Russian meddling in the 2016 election and made no mention of the Kremlin backing Donald Trump — a tone which would shift dramatically after the November 2016 election.

The heretofore unknown ICA — completed in September 2016 but declassified by Gabbard this week — stood in stark contrast to the later ICA which would be completed in December 2016.

The September 2016 assessment made no mention of Russia’s alleged animosity towards Clinton nor of its supposed preference for Trump, included no discussion of the Kremlin allegedly seeking to sink Clinton’s candidacy and to elevate Trump’s chances, and generally attributed Russian efforts to a generalized desire to undermine the legitimacy of the U.S. election or the legitimacy of the next presidential administration, rather than a desire to pick a winner and a loser in the race.

According to newly-declassified and partially-unredacted September 2019 emails first obtained by Just the News, one surprising assertion that the Steele dossier had played a role in the ICA seemed to originate with top IC election security official Shelby Pierson, who had been appointed the Election Threats Executive (ETE) within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) by then-DNI Dan Coats just a couple months prior.

The National Intelligence Council’s deputy national intelligence officer for cybersecurity responded to the email with a stunned tone, dismayed that the Steele dossier’s use in the ICA could have been hidden from him. Gabbard’s office said on Friday that this intelligence officer became a whistleblower.

Since-fired FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe had pushed in December 2016 to include British ex-spy Christopher Steele's debunked dossier in the 2016 ICA on alleged Russian meddling. The recent CIA review also sharply criticized Brennan for allegedly joining with these anti-Trump forces in the FBI in pushing to include Steele’s baseless anti-Trump dossier in the assessment.

"I think this is unfortunately a very sad and tragic example of the continued politicization of the intelligence community, of the national security process," Brennan told MSNBC earlier this month, adding that the purported investigation into him "clearly is just politically based."

The December 2016 assessment from the CIA, the FBI, and the NSA — made public in early January 2017 — concluded with “high confidence” that Putin “ordered an influence campaign in 2016” and that Russia worked to “undermine public faith in the U.S. democratic process, denigrate former Secretary of State [Hillary] Clinton, and harm her electability and potential presidency” and “developed a clear preference for President-elect Trump.”

Admiral Mike Rogers, then the leader of the NSA, diverged from Brennan and Comey on one key aspect, expressing only “moderate confidence” rather than “high confidence” that Putin had “aspired to help” Trump’s election chances in 2016 by “discrediting” Clinton" and publicly contrasting her unfavorably to him.”

A recent CIA review stated that “NSA and a few other participants were not comfortable with ascribing ‘high confidence’ to the ‘aspired’ judgment. They cited the limited source base, lack of corroborating intelligence, and ‘the possibility for an alternative judgment’ as driving their discomfort.”

The publicly-available version of the December 2016 ICA stated that “further intelligence has come to light since Election Day that, when combined with Russian behavior since early November 2016, increase our confidence in our assessments of Russian motivations and goals.” A further declassified version of the December 2016 ICA, first obtained by Just the News, also stated that “CIA and FBI have high confidence in this judgment based on sensitive information not included in this version of the assessment.”

A senior intelligence official told Just the News that those two passages were referencing two main pieces of information — a secret source closely-held by Brennan, and the anti-Trump Steele dossier.

House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rick Crawford, R-Ark., responded to Gabbard’s declassifications on Friday by tweeting that “to impose large-scale change that gets at redefining the underlying culture, the IC has to be honest about the issues plaguing its analytic integrity” and that “the American people are not to be manipulated with using manufactured or misrepresented intelligence that pushes one political or personal agenda.” He said Trump and Gabbard “deserve credit for continuing to follow through” on Trump’s “commitment to transparency and accountability.”

But a number of key Democrats who work on intelligence community oversight harshly criticized Gabbard’s moves.

“It’s a day that ends with ‘y’ and Donald Trump desperately wants to change the subject, so Director Gabbard is rehashing decade-old false claims about the Obama Administration. Few episodes in our nation’s history have been investigated as thoroughly as the Intelligence Community’s warning in 2016 that Russia was interfering in the election,” House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Jim Himes, D-Conn., tweeted on Friday. “While everyone has the right to critique the steps that IC leaders took under immense pressure, every legitimate investigation, including the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee investigation, found no evidence of politicization and endorsed the findings of the 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment.”

Sen. Mark Warner, D-Va., the vice chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee, also pointed to his committee’s 2020 report defending the December 2016 ICA on Russian meddling, and he tweeted that “it is sadly not surprising that DNI Gabbard, who promised to depoliticize the intelligence community, is once again weaponizing her position to amplify the president’s election conspiracy theories.”

The Senate Intelligence Committee released a bipartisan report in 2020 defending the 2016 ICA. The panel said congressional investigators found no evidence of political pressure and determined the assessment “presents a coherent and well-constructed intelligence basis for the case of unprecedented Russian interference.” The senators also found that “the differing confidence levels on one analytic judgment are justified and properly represented.”

The only direct mention of the ICA in special counsel John Durham’s 2023 report was to praise prior “careful examinations” such as the Senate Intelligence Committee’s 2020 report on Russia.

The Senate findings clashed with a 2018 report from the GOP-led House Intelligence Committee, chaired at the time by then-Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.), which concluded that “the majority of the Intelligence Community Assessment judgments on Russia’s election activities employed proper analytic tradecraft” but the “judgments on Putin’s strategic intentions did not.” The House report said it “identified significant intelligence tradecraft failings that undermine confidence in the ICA judgments regarding Putin’s strategic objectives.”

The Democrats on the panel, led by then-ranking member Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., released their own report, saying that they “found no evidence that calls into question the quality and reliability of the ICA’s … assessment about President Putin’s desire to help candidate Trump.”

The GOP-led House Intelligence Committee’s classified findings on the 2016 ICA have been closely held by the CIA since 2018, although Ratcliffe handed the still-classified House Intelligence Committee report back over to the committee earlier this month.

Crawford sent Trump a letter this month telling him that a still-classified 2018 report by the committee “exposes the truth about the politically driven Obama-era assessment.” He urged Trump to read the classified report and argued in his letter that “public interest declassification is merited.”

New details are emerging about Israel's intelligence and operational preparations that led to the attack on Iran, following serious warnings regarding advancements in Tehran's military nuclear program.

According to a report by Channel 12's Omri Maniv, in November, the political leadership instructed the IDF to prepare for an attack on Iran. Immediately afterward, a special team from the Intelligence Directorate was formed, called "Hipcha Mistabra" — a covert team that included technological experts focusing on analyzing progress in the nuclear field.

As early as January, the team warned about "initiating a systematic project for the production of the final stage required for launching a nuclear missile." At the same time, the Intelligence Directorate's research division issued an early warning about concerning signs of nuclear weapons development by Iran.

The quotes from the warnings indicate secretive activity by Iranian nuclear scientists who focused on components that had never been addressed before — pointing to progress toward a critical stage in the program.

In May, Intelligence Directorate chief Major General Shlomi Binder joined the warnings and cautioned the political leadership: "It appears that Iran continues with determined progress, shortening the technological and cognitive distance to complete the development of a nuclear weapon."

At this stage, preparations for the attack were already underway. The operational demand was to initiate an aggressive strike, including the simultaneous elimination of several senior figures. To ensure precise targeting, different scenarios for each target were prepared in advance: office locations, private apartments, safe houses, and more.

During the two weeks leading up to the attack, the Intelligence Directorate developed a technological means to assess daily the number of senior figures that could be eliminated in real time. This helped determine the precise timing — early Friday morning — and the attack locations.

The result: the elimination of over 30 senior figures, including the Iranian Chief of Staff, the Commander of the Revolutionary Guards, and key nuclear scientists.

US: Jerusalem, Damascus agree to truce amid massacres of Druze in Syria - Charles Bybelezer

At least 718 people have been killed since sectarian violence erupted.

Israel and Syria have agreed to a ceasefire following several days of massacres carried out by Sunni jihadists loyal to Damascus against the Druze minority in Sweida Province, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey Tom Barrack announced on Friday night.

“Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa supported by the U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio have agreed to a ceasefire embraced by Türkiye, Jordan and its neighbors,” tweeted Barrack, who also serves as U.S. special envoy for Syria.

“We call upon Druze, Bedouin and Sunnis to put down their weapons and together with other minorities build a new and united Syrian identity in peace and prosperity with its neighbors,” he added.

Soon thereafter, al-Sharaa’s office announced an “immediate ceasefire” and urged “all parties to fully respect” the deal.

Al-Sharaa, also known as Abu Mohammed al-Jolani, is a former Al-Qaeda terrorist.

“The Syrian state is committed to protecting all minorities and communities in the country. … We condemn all crimes committed” in Sweida, al-Sharaa later said in a televised speech on Saturday.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar dismissed al-Sharaa’s comments, describing them as “a display of support for the jihadist attackers.

“Al-Sharaa spiced all this with conspiracy theories and accusations against Israel,” Sa’ar said. “Bottom line: In al-Sharaa’s Syria, it is very dangerous to be a member of a minority—Kurd, Druze, Alawite or Christian. This has been proven time and again over the past six months.”

He added that the international community “has a duty to ensure the security and rights of the minorities in Syria and to condition Syria’s renewed acceptance into the family of nations on their protection.”

Meanwhile, the European Union welcomed the ceasefire, saying it was “appalled” by the deadly sectarian violence in the southern Druze heartland.

“Now is the time for dialogue and for advancing a truly inclusive transition. Syria’s transitional authorities, together with local authorities, bear the responsibility to protect all Syrians without distinction,” according to a statement from Brussels.

The E.U. called for the perpetrators of “grave violations” of international law to be held to account.

At least 718 people have been killed in southern Syria since sectarian violence erupted on Sunday, the U.K.-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Friday.

The war monitor reported that among the dead are 146 Druze fighters and 245 civilians, 165 of whom were “extrajudicially executed by personnel of the [Syrian] Defense and Interior ministries.”

The violence also claimed the lives of 287 government-linked troops and 18 Bedouin fighters, along with three Bedouin civilians who were reportedly executed by Druze militias.

An additional 18 Syrians, including at least 15 government soldiers or officials, were killed in Israeli airstrikes, according to the report.

The Israel Defense Forces on Wednesday attacked the entrance to the Syrian regime’s military headquarters in Damascus in response to atrocities against Druze civilians.

Jerusalem “will not allow southern Syria to become a terror stronghold,” IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir said on Wednesday evening. He spoke after a situational assessment held at the IDF’s Camp Nafah, aka Camp Yitzhak, in the Golan Heights.

“We are acting with determination to prevent hostile elements from establishing a presence beyond the border, to protect the citizens of the State of Israel, and to prevent the harming of Druze civilians,” said Zamir.

On Tuesday, Israeli forces carried out a series of airstrikes against Syrian government troops in the Sweida city area of southern Syria’s Jabal al-Druze (“Druze Mountain”) region of the Sweida Governate, targeting armored vehicles and convoys sent by Damascus.

Katz and Netanyahu told the IDF to “immediately strike regime forces and weaponry that were brought into the Sweida area,” as Damascus had violated “the demilitarization policy that was decided upon, which prohibits the entry of [regime] forces and arms into southern Syria that could endanger Israel.”

“Israel is committed to preventing harm to the Druze in Syria due to the deep fraternal alliance with our Druze citizens in Israel, as well as their familial and historical ties to the Druze in Syria,” according to the statement.

On Thursday, Netanyahu clarified Israel’s two-pronged strategic goal—ensuring southern Syria is demilitarized and protecting the Druze.

The al-Sharaa regime violated both red lines, Netanyahu said, adding, “That was something we could not accept under any circumstances.”

Investigation exposes X, WhatsApp as hotbeds for arms trade involving Houthis, US weapons - Jerusalem Post Staff

by Jerusalem Post Staff

TTP identified 130 Yemen-based X accounts that were advertising a range of weapons, including high-powered rifles, grenade launchers, and other military-grade arms.

A recent investigation by the Tech Transparency Project (TTP) has revealed that Elon Musk’s platform X and Meta-owned WhatsApp are hosting a thriving arms trade linked to Houthi terrorists in Yemen. The investigation exposes how these tech giants are failing to enforce their own policies against weapons trafficking and undermining US national security interests.

TTP identified 130 Yemen-based X accounts that were advertising a range of weapons, including high-powered rifles, grenade launchers, and other military-grade arms. A significant portion of these accounts, over half, were based in Sana'a, Yemen’s capital, which has been under the control of the Houthi movement for over a decade. Many of the accounts displayed allegiance to the Houthis, with some even prominently featuring the Houthi emblem in their posts.

US-branded weapons found for sale

Among the weapons offered by these accounts were items clearly marked as “Property of US Govt.,” raising serious concerns about the origins of the firearms. While the accounts did not specify how they came into possession of US-branded weapons, such items have been a known source of concern, particularly following the US withdrawal from Afghanistan.

During the chaotic exit, a large amount of US-manufactured weapons were left behind, some of which have made their way into the global black market. The arms were likely being sold to fund the activities of the Houthi terrorists, who continue to pose a threat to regional stability.

The arms trade extended beyond X. TTP found that several accounts used WhatsApp or Telegram, encrypted messaging platforms, to facilitate direct communication between buyers and sellers. WhatsApp, a business communication tool owned by Meta, was actively used for arms sales, despite the platform’s stated policy prohibiting such transactions.

Clear violation of platform policies

Both X and WhatsApp have policies that prohibit weapons sales. However, these platforms seem to have either overlooked or failed to enforce their own guidelines. The arms trade continued openly on X, with accounts explicitly offering military-grade rifles and rocket launchers for sale.

In addition to the weapon listings, X also ran ads beneath some of the posts featuring firearms, raising further concerns. Ads from unrelated companies, such as the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) and even Tesla, appeared in the comment sections of posts offering weapons for sale. This indicates that X might be generating revenue from these policy-violating posts, even though the company has publicly stated that it does not run ads alongside such content.

The role of X's business accounts

Many of the arms trader accounts found on X were listed as business accounts, a feature designed to allow businesses to engage with customers. These accounts, which often had professional categories such as "Gun Store" or "Shopping & Retail," were used to promote weapons and military equipment. In total, TTP identified over 50 such accounts that had been given business classifications, some of which were apparently paying for premium services on X.

Several accounts were seen using the extended video features available to X Premium subscribers, with one showing an individual unboxing a “M249 SAW,” a light machine gun used by the US military. These accounts had access to enhanced features, such as longer video uploads and access to analytics dashboards, further blurring the line between legitimate business activity and illegal arms dealing.

Houthi-linked X accounts and their operations

Among the X accounts involved in this trade was @yeusaf_mm, which identified itself in Arabic as a platform for buying and selling weapons. With over 2,700 followers, the account frequently posted about various weapons, including AK-47-style rifles and a Polish-made AK-47. The account shared pro-Houthi content, including videos from Houthi media and posts celebrating the movement’s military activities.

Another account, @mslslnsln1, also based in Sana'a, advertised a variety of weapons, including Soviet-made RPGs and Turkish-made M4 carbines. The profile image was a logo of a rifle, and posts frequently featured military equipment for sale, with prices and details listed. One of these posts offered AK-47s for about $1,500, indicating the type of weapons on sale and the organized nature of these illegal transactions.

The presence of US military weapons, particularly the M4 carbine, was noted by TTP. Some of the rifles were still marked with “PROPERTY OF US GOVT,” raising further questions about how these items made their way to Yemen. The M4 carbine, used by US forces, was sold alongside grenades, ballistic helmets, and night-vision goggles, with some items being offered at prices upwards of $10,000.

TTP’s findings point to a serious security risk, as these weapons could be used not only by the Houthis but also by other terrorist groups in the region, further exacerbating tensions and undermining international stability.

WhatsApp’s role in the trade

WhatsApp, owned by Meta, also played a key role in this arms trade. More than half of the Yemen-based X accounts investigated by TTP had links to WhatsApp business accounts. These WhatsApp business profiles were used to facilitate the sale of weapons, with several accounts listing their wares in product catalogs. One such account, linked to the X account @AlqhylyM, offered a range of military equipment, including rifles and accessories, and clearly indicated its location in Sana'a.

WhatsApp’s business accounts are intended to facilitate customer service and promote products, yet in this case, they were used to market weapons. Despite WhatsApp’s policy against the sale of firearms, these business accounts were able to advertise and transact openly without apparent intervention from Meta’s monitoring systems.

Meta’s failure to enforce its own policies

While Meta claims it cannot monitor the encrypted content of WhatsApp messages, the company does review business account profiles and images posted to catalogs. However, TTP found that several of the business accounts violated both WhatsApp’s and Meta’s broader policies on firearms sales. The failure to detect and remove these profiles and catalogs raises serious concerns about Meta’s commitment to enforcing its own rules and preventing the misuse of its platforms.

The investigation also uncovered that many of the arms traders linked their WhatsApp business accounts to Instagram or Facebook profiles, which further violated Meta’s commerce policies. Despite the platform’s prohibitions on firearm sales, these accounts were able to operate openly for months, if not longer.

X's ongoing responsibility

The investigation into X’s role in facilitating the sale of weapons linked to the Houthis is a reminder of the challenges faced by tech companies in regulating content on their platforms. Despite having clear policies against weapons trafficking, X appears to have failed in both enforcement and detection of policy violations.

TTP’s report calls for increased accountability from social media giants like X and WhatsApp. These platforms must do more to prevent their services from being exploited by terrorist organizations and arms traffickers.

The West's Mainstream Media: Iran's New Mouthpiece - Robert Williams

by Robert Williams

It has apparently made no difference to mainstream media reporting that there is footage showing that Hamas deliberately shoots at Gazans waiting for aid, or shoots them as punishment for receiving it; or that local Gazans working for GHF have testified that Hamas deliberately targets the aid sites where GHF operates and that 12 of its local staff have been murdered, and others tortured; or that audio has been released in which a resident in Gaza explains how Hamas operates....

  • This time the lies are being fabricated by Iran and its proxy Hamas -- with the generous help of the "international community" not least the UN, the Red Cross and a variety of NGOS...

  • It has apparently made no difference to mainstream media reporting that there is footage showing that Hamas deliberately shoots at Gazans waiting for aid, or shoots them as punishment for receiving it; or that local Gazans working for GHF have testified that Hamas deliberately targets the aid sites where GHF operates and that 12 of its local staff have been murdered, and others tortured; or that audio has been released in which a resident in Gaza explains how Hamas operates....

  • It has also apparently made no difference to the mainstream media that the Al-Hayat Al-Jadida daily newspaper in the Palestinian Authority, a self-declared enemy of Israel, has, in an article, "accused Hamas of murdering Gaza residents trying to get to the American food aid distribution centers established in the Gaza Strip."

Hamas wants to regain control of the humanitarian aid entering Gaza. These donations are now distributed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is backed by the US and Israel. Previously, aid was distributed via UNRWA, which is fully infiltrated by Hamas. Pictured: Gazans cheer after receiving food parcels from a GHF distribution point on June 26, 2025, in central Gaza. (Photo by Moiz Salhi/Middle East Images/AFP via Getty Images

When Iran's proxy Hamas, on behalf of Iran, invaded Israel to carry out the worst massacre against the Jews since the Holocaust, the thin civilizational veneer that used to stop most of "elite" society from displaying the ugliest parts of its Jew-hatred completely peeled off. It is now on full display, though still cloaked in the transparent pretense of "anti-Zionism." Its vilifications, falsely defaming the Jewish state and its inhabitants, embody echoes of Nazi propaganda.

Since Hamas launched the Gaza war in October 2023, contemporary versions of the false accusation that Jews kill non-Jews to use their blood for ritual purposes have proliferated. It is a lie that was widely spread by the Nazis, especially by Julius Streicher, the propagandist and publisher of the Third Reich newspaper, Der Stürmer.

This time the lies are being fabricated by Iran and its proxy Hamas -- with the generous help of the "international community" not least the UN, see also here, the Red Cross and a variety of NGOS, see for instance here, here, here and here -- and eagerly and enthusiastically spread and propagandized by Western legacy media, see for instance here, here, here, here and here for just a tiny fraction of the more recent examples. Having long ago discarded religion, the "ritual" aspect of the libel has been removed, and instead the media spreads the totally false messages that Jews kill for "genocide" and "apartheid."

Iran, Hamas and their more-than-willing helpers in the West have been through several iterations of this defamation in the past 20 months and continue to regularly recycle them to fit the current Hamas agenda of maintaining control in Gaza, presumably to continue presiding over Israel's eradication.

At the moment, however, Hamas needs to regain control of the aid entering Gaza. These donations are distributed by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), which is backed by the US and Israel. Previously, aid was distributed via UNRWA, which is fully infiltrated by Hamas -- see here for nearly 50 examples of Hamas-UNRWA collaboration -- which meant that the terrorist organization was able to siphon off the humanitarian aid and use it for its own purposes and sell the leftovers at premium prices to the Gazans for whom it was intended for free. As the GHF is independent, UNRWA and a host of other NGOs are clamoring for it to be abolished and the UN to be reinstated.

To make GHF go away, Hamas has been shooting at Gazans lining up for aid at the sites where GHF operates and then accusing -- together with its accomplice UN -- Israel of committing the massacres. The legacy media, as always, have eagerly spread the lie, while the UN keeps repeating it at every possible occasion, conjuring up the Nazi-like images of evil Jewish soldiers killing helpless Palestinians children as they line up to receive aid:

"Any operation that channels desperate civilians into militarized zones is inherently unsafe. The search for food must never be a death sentence," UN chief Antonio Guterres said. Most recently, Hamas has enlisted what the media claims to be 170 charities and NGOs -- including Oxfam, Amnesty International and Save the Children -- who have called for an end to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

It has apparently made no difference to mainstream media reporting that there is footage showing that Hamas deliberately shoots at Gazans waiting for aid, or shoots them as punishment for receiving it; or that local Gazans working for GHF have testified that Hamas deliberately targets the aid sites where GHF operates and that 12 of its local staff have been murdered, and others tortured; or that audio has been released in which a resident in Gaza explains how Hamas operates:

"Look, this is how Hamas forces operate. They shoot the people... deliberately... They want to show the people that the [Israeli] army is shooting at them."

It has also apparently made no difference to the mainstream media that the Al-Hayat Al-Jadida daily newspaper in the Palestinian Authority, a self-declared enemy of Israel, has, in an article,

"accused Hamas of murdering Gaza residents trying to get to the American food aid distribution centers established in the Gaza Strip. According to the article, 'death squads' from Hamas's Al-Sahm unit hunt down Gazans coming to the distribution centers, shoot at them and kill them on the pretext that they are collaborating with the distribution centers and with Israel.

"The article added that Hamas does not hesitate to target Gaza residents in order to maintain its monopoly on the distribution of food and thus its control, and that Hamas steals the food aid and sells it on the black market."

Iran and Hamas would be nothing if it were not for the legacy media, which for all purposes has become Der Stürmer of our times; a media that displays zero desire to investigate and question the claims of Hamas, instead relentlessly inciting against Israel, and feigning acute deaf- and blindness, whenever their defamatory propaganda is exposed for what it is.

The effort by Western legacy media organizations on behalf of Hamas and Iran -- which have wanted to politically isolate Israel as part of their war on the Jewish state – has evidently paid off: a majority of adults in many Western countries now harboring negative views of Israel.

According to a recent Pew Research Center poll, "In 20 of the 24 countries surveyed, around half of adults or more have an unfavorable view of Israel. Around three-quarters or more hold this view in Australia, Greece, Indonesia, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Turkey."

As former NPR and CNN reporter Josh Levs notes, "The Mainstream Media Is Biased Against Israel. I Know, I Was Part of It."

"For decades, many news organizations have framed their coverage of the Middle East, either consciously or unconsciously, with an anti-Israel bias. Many even have rules to enforce this bias. I know because as a journalist at two of them (NPR and CNN), I saw these rules in action."

Former AP correspondent Matti Friedman concurs in a Free Press article:

"The New goal [in journalism] was not to describe reality, but to usher readers to the correct political conclusion.... By selectively emphasizing some facts and not others, by erasing historical and regional context, and by reversing cause and effect, the story portrayed Israel as a country whose motivations could only be malevolent, and one responsible not only for its own actions but also for provoking the actions of its enemies. The activist-journalists, I found, were backed up by an affiliated world of progressive NGOs and academics who we referred to as experts, creating a thought loop nearly impervious to external information. All of this had the effect of presenting a mass audience with a supposedly factual story that had a powerful emotional punch and a familiar villain."

A Holocaust-themed exhibit in the city of Umeå in northern Sweden featuring mannequins in concentration camp uniforms hanging from gallows was put up by an anti-Israel group named Umea for Palestina on Friday.

The supposed message is that Palestinians in Gaza are undergoing the same atrocities that Jews suffered under the Third Reich—although some have interpreted it as a call to hang Jews.

The mannequins are dressed in long gray and white stripes, displaying a yellow star next to a series of numbers, reminiscent of the uniforms Jews were forced to wear in concentration camps during the Holocaust.

A banner reading, “Genocide is genocide is genocide” towers above, with two PLO flags hoisted besides the gallows. In the front, what looks like a real person wearing a keffiyeh hiding his or her face, sits down with a baby doll in both hands.

The display stirred a storm in Swedish social media, after which the original posts on Facebook and Instagram were removed, according to Israel’s public broadcaster Kan News.

Israeli Ambassador to Sweden Ziv Nevo Kulman dubbed the exhibit a “grotesque exploitation of the Holocaust and a chilling act of antisemitism.

“When pro-Palestinian demonstrators hijack the memory of the Shoah to vilify Jews today, they cross every moral line. We must never allow the Holocaust to be weaponized against Jews ever again,” he said.

The diplomat added, “We welcome the Swedish police’s investigation into this despicable act of incitement.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar reposted the ambassador’s tweet on his own X account.

Swedish Jewish comedian and author Aron Flam expressed outrage on X, saying, “This is utterly insane. Shut it down now. These are not demonstrations. They are religious rituals calling for the genocide of Jews.”

Swedish journalist Bitte Assarmo, a regular contributor to online publication Det Goda Samhället (“The Good Society”), wrote on her Facebook page, “Umeå for Palestine? Bullshit. More like Umeå for terror against Jews. How do police, authorities and politicians in the city of birch trees act after this antisemitic abomination? How far can it go before Sweden sets its foot down?”

Swedish legal scholar Professor Mårten Schultz said the exhibit may violate laws against incitement.

“This isn’t just about Israel—it targets Jews as a people,” he was cited by local media outlet Omni as saying, Ynet reported.

IDF slays key Hamas, PIJ terrorists as troops press ahead in Gaza - Charles Bybelezer

The Israel Defense Forces this week killed Muhammad Uthayn, commander of Hamas’s Daraj Tuffah Battalion, the military said Friday, as ground troops continued advancing in the Gaza Strip in “Operation Gideon’s Chariots.”

Uthayn infiltrated Israel during the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre and subsequently carried out attacks against IDF soldiers throughout the ongoing war.

His death further degrades the battalion’s capabilities and reduces its ability to target Israeli troops in the area, according to the military.

Also this week, the Israeli Air Force killed Raed Khaled Hasan Jabayin, a senior Islamic Jihad terrorist who served a prison sentence in Israel from 2006 to 2015.

In recent years, and throughout the ongoing war, Jabayin was involved in transferring funds for the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization, with the aim of facilitating and carrying out attacks in Judea and Samaria.

According to the IDF, Jabayin played a key role in financing terrorist activity in the region, including arming operatives and planning attacks targeting Israeli civilians and soldiers.

Earlier on Friday, the IDF announced the killing of Barhoum Shahin, head of the Western Gaza District for Hamas’s General Security Apparatus, and Asham Tzartzur, who led the terrorist group’s Government Emergency Committee in eastern Gaza.

Both men played key roles in Hamas’s internal security and governance efforts, including supporting the terrorist group’s “military” wing and enforcing its rule through repression and violence against Gaza’s civilian population.

The IDF said it also killed Faraj al-‘Aoul, the head of Hamas’s legal bureau and a member of its legislative council.

Israeli military operations across the coastal enclave are ongoing as part of “Gideon’s Chariots,” a campaign with the stated goal of dismantling Hamas’s remaining military capabilities, taking control of key areas in the Strip and securing the release of the 50 captives.

Over the past 24 hours, the Israeli Air Force struck approximately 90 targets across the Gaza Strip, including terrorist compounds and underground infrastructure, the IDF said on Saturday.

Ground forces operating in the northern and central Strip eliminated terrorists and destroyed weapons storage facilities. In Gaza City, troops also dismantled rocket launchers and sniper positions.

Troops from the Nahal Infantry Brigade, operating under the command of the 162nd Division, this week identified a terrorist cell armed with a rocket-propelled grenade near Israeli positions in the Daraj Tuffah area of northern Gaza. An IAF craft, guided by soldiers on the ground, conducted a precision airstrike that eliminated the threat.

In a separate operation, IDF ground forces, in coordination with Yahalom special forces combat engineers, uncovered and dismantled a tunnel approximately 800 meters (875 yards) long and 18 meters (20 yards) deep.

The military said troops have destroyed weapons caches, observation posts and terrorist infrastructure, including a facility where Hamas operatives were hiding.

A majority of Israelis want the Gaza Strip to remain under Israeli military rule after the war ends, according to a survey published by the Jerusalem Center for Security and Foreign Affairs (JCFA) this week.

The poll, conducted by Menachem Lazar of Lazar Research at the beginning of July, found that 52% support an Israeli takeover of Gaza with a temporary military administration—if all hostages are first released. Only 4% believe Hamas should remain in power, whether politically or militarily.

Stop The Avarice and Cowardice: Europe Must Confront Iran's Regime - Majid Rafizadeh

by Majid Rafizadeh

The "EU3" — France, Germany, and the United Kingdom — still have the legal authority to initiate this "snapback" mechanism. If they act before October 18, 2025, they can reimpose the full slate of UN sanctions on Iran that were lifted as part of the flawed 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) "nuclear deal."

  • Iran's reach does not stop "just" with assassinations and terror cells. The regime is now a key player in one of the most significant wars in Europe since World War II: the Russia-Ukraine war.

If they act before October 18, 2025, they can reimpose the full slate of UN sanctions on Iran that were lifted as part of the flawed 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) "nuclear deal." These sanctions include restrictions on Iran's missile program, military exports and financial networks. Tehran has not only violated the JCPOA — it has blown it to pieces

  • Europe is actually pretending to stand for democracy and human rights while doing business with the "world's leading state sponsor of terrorism."

  • It took decades to build the international sanctions regime that US President Barack Obama tragically dismantled in 2015 with the JCPOA. Letting that structure collapse completely would be... an invitation for Iran to continue rebuilding its path toward nuclear weapons without consequence.

  • Beyond the snapback mechanism, the EU might sever all diplomatic and economic ties with the Islamic Republic; close every Iranian embassy in Europe; expel every Iranian ambassador; cut all trade deals, freeze all assets, and sanction every official linked to the regime's terror apparatus. Maintaining business as usual with Iran only emboldens its rulers by signaling to them that the EU is unwilling to confront danger when it sees it.

Iran's reach does not stop "just" with assassinations and terror cells. The regime is now a key player in one of the most significant wars in Europe since World War II: the Russia-Ukraine war. The European Union has remained in a state of diplomatic paralysis, watching from the sidelines as the United States and Israel have shouldered the burden of confronting the Islamic Republic of Iran.

While American and Israeli leaders are taking real, tangible risks to counter the threat posed by Tehran and its vast global network of terror, European officials have chosen the path of appeasement, delay, cowardice and greed, all the while bashing Israel for coming to its rescue instead of thanking it.

As usual in much of blowhard Europe, statements are issued, meetings are held, but no real action is taken. This has become an all-too-familiar pattern. The EU talks about human rights, about democratic values, about international security— but when it comes to Iran, it has been ostentatiously unwilling to act. It is high time for the EU to stop hiding behind empty diplomatic rituals, usually accompanied by lavish banquets and lavish sanctimonious pronouncements, and start doing something meaningful for a change.

Iran's regime is not simply a regional menace contained within the Middle East. It is a revolutionary regime with global ambitions — and Europe is on its banquet table. The regime has publicly declared its desire to export its radical Islamist revolution to the rest of the world. The regime views the European Union as part of the "decadent West" that must be defeated and dismantled. This is not just rhetoric. Iran's rulers have waged a campaign of terror, espionage and assassination on European soil; demonstrated that its reach extends far beyond its borders, as far as South America, and that its enemies include ordinary European citizens and lawmakers, as well as Iranian dissidents living abroad.

A 2018 Iranian terror plot targeted a "Free Iran" gathering in Paris. This was no small operation. It was planned and executed by an Iranian diplomat, Assadollah Assadi, who transported explosives on a commercial flight from Iran and handed them to operatives in Europe. The goal was to massacre thousands of people, including international leaders, human rights activists and journalists. Iran's plot was an act of state-sponsored terrorism in the heart of the European Union. Yet, even after Assadi was convicted in Belgium, the EU's response was feeble: Iran's embassies remained open, Assadi was freed, trade continued. Tehran paid no price.

Iran's regime has also been involved in a long line of assassinations – successful and attempted -- of Iranian dissidents living in Europe. In the Netherlands, Iran was implicated in the killings of dissidents Ali Motamed in 2015 and Ahmad Mola Nissi in 2017. In Germany, authorities disrupted plots targeting members of the Iranian opposition. Across the continent, Tehran's intelligence operatives and assassins have been operating with shocking ease: European governments have done little more than put on a serious look and issue statements of "deep concern". Iran has interpreted this passivity as weakness -- and it is.

Iran's reach does not stop "just" with assassinations and terror cells. The regime is now a key player in one of the most significant wars in Europe since World War II: the Russia-Ukraine war. Tehran has supplied Moscow with thousands of deadly drones, including the infamous Shahed-131 and Shahed-136 drones, which Russia has used to attack civilians and infrastructure in Ukraine. In May 2025, Russia launched over 700 suicide drones into Ukraine in a single night. These weapons were not developed in a vacuum — they were the product of an expanding alliance between Iran and Russia. By continuing to ignore Iran's role in this war, the EU is effectively enabling the slaughter of Ukrainian civilians and the consolidation of a hostile anti-Western axis.

Instead, what is the EU doing? Talking. Just as they did in the 1930s, leaders of European democracies are choosing capitulation over action, hoping the storm will blow over without their having to take a side. Just like the tragic cowardice of Europe's ruling class in the face of Hitler's rise, the EU's inaction toward Iran gives Tehran the space, time and confidence to grow stronger. The British and Americans did not save Europe from fascism only for its modern leaders to grovel before the ayatollahs of Tehran.

One critical step the EU can and must take -- Germany and France anyhow -- is triggering the "snapback" sanctions mechanism under UN Security Council Resolution 2231. The "EU3" — France, Germany, and the United Kingdom — still have the legal authority to initiate this "snapback" mechanism. Tehran has not only violated the JCPOA — it has blown it to pieces by enriching uranium well beyond legal limits, and stonewalling international nuclear inspectors.

If this deadline is missed, it will become virtually impossible to rally the UN Security Council to impose sanctions again: China and Russia will undoubtedly block any future action. Years of effort, pressure and diplomacy will be down the drain. It took decades to build the international sanctions regime that US President Barack Obama tragically dismantled in 2015 with the JCPOA. Letting that structure collapse completely would be an unforgivable betrayal of global security and an invitation for Iran to continue rebuilding its path toward nuclear weapons without consequence.

Beyond the snapback mechanism, the EU might sever all diplomatic and economic ties with the Islamic Republic; close every Iranian embassy in Europe; expel every Iranian ambassador; cut all trade deals, freeze all assets, and sanction every official linked to the regime's terror apparatus. Maintaining business as usual with Iran only emboldens its rulers by signaling to them that the EU is unwilling to confront danger when it sees it.

Europe is actually pretending to stand for democracy and human rights while doing business with the "world's leading state sponsor of terrorism."

If EU leaders are too weak, too cowardly, or too compromised to confront the Iranian regime directly, then at the very least, they might stop trying to undermine the actions of Israel and the United States. Instead, support your allies. Share intelligence. Provide public and diplomatic backing. Do not hide behind rhetoric and "neutrality" while others are putting their lives on the line to fight one of the world's most dangerous regimes – and one that is trying to devour you. At a minimum, the EU should not obstruct the efforts of those who are willing to act.

The EU's policy toward Iran has been defined by cowardice, indecision and a dangerous desire to appease Iran's regime by looking the other way and conducting "business as usual." October is approaching. If the EU fails to act now — by triggering the snapback sanctions, severing diplomatic ties, halting trade and supporting its allies — it will once again discredit itself. But when was Europe ever bothered by shame?

Chester A. Arthur: Foppish Dupe or Father of the Deep State? - Thaddeus G. McCotter

by Thaddeus G. McCotter

The Deep State wasn’t born in secret—it was sired by a “reformer” president who rigged the rules to protect patronage and planted the roots of today’s unaccountable bureaucracy.

Mr. Andrew C. McCarthy, Esq., has been unequivocal in both his condemnation of the machinations regarding the deceitful weaponization of government known as “Russia-gate” and his conclusion that there is likely no recourse to criminal law to hold accountable two of its key perpetrators: Mr. John Brennan and Mr. James Comey.

In my heart, I hope he is wrong, but in my head, I know he is right. Why? Because the federal bureaucracy and its Deep State are designed for insularity, not accountability. After all, not only has the father of the Deep State never been unmasked for that unconscionable act, but he has also been praised for being a “reformer.”

Following the assassination of President John Garfield by Charles Giteau, who (irony of ironies) was a frustrated office seeker, Chester A. Arthur assumed the presidency. The new president, nicknamed “The Gentleman Boss,” was well versed in the ways of political patronage—er, “administration.” Writing for the University of Virginia’s Miller Center, Dr. Justus Doenecke, Professor Emeritus of History at the New College of Florida, explained:

No president ever came to power who was better equipped to handle the management of a federal bureaucracy than Chester Arthur. His service as quartermaster general for New York and as the collector of the New York Customs House had provided him with a wealth of administrative experience. Those who knew him understood that few men in public life could match his administrative skills.

Consequently, having risen through the school of spoils and on the public record as wary of civil service reform, it caused much surprise and consternation by his Republican contemporaries and, later, much acclaim by historians when, in 1883, Mr. Arthur signed into law the Pendleton Civil Service Reform Act. Again, Dr. Doenecke:

Written by the Democratic Ohio Senator George Pendleton, [the act] established a bipartisan five-member examination board. The law banned salary kickbacks, apportioned federal appointments among the states, and ruled that new employees must begin their service at the bottom of the career ladder, advancing only by merit exams.

Dr. Doenecke believes President Arthur panicked in the wake of the 1882 midterms, in which Democrats made significant gains. Such knee-jerk, “bipartisan” capitulations to Democrat legislative demands are not unknown in the annals of GOP presidents. So, is it the case that Mr. Arthur was just a foppish dupe who was manipulated by his Democrat opponents to cut his own and his party’s throats?

Not likely. As enumerated by Dr. Doenecke, the Pendleton Act had significant limitations that prevented it from curbing machine politics that were, in fact, bemoaned at the time of passage:

Its initial impact, however, should not be exaggerated. As the legislation was not retroactive, present (primarily Republican) incumbents could remain in office even if the Democrats won the forthcoming presidential election. Hence, one Democratic senator caustically called the measure “a bill to perpetuate in office the Republicans who now control the patronage of the government.” Furthermore, the Pendleton Act exempted the vast majority of federal employees and all municipal and state workers.

President Arthur was not duped by the Democrats. This master of the spoils system aimed to hoist them by their own reform petard and “perpetuate” GOP mastery of federal government (as well as state and municipal governments) patronage, regardless of the new law. In sum, the Gentleman Boss was a devious, evil genius who sought to hoodwink his opponents and the public—and later generations of historians—into thinking he was a reformer. The problem was that he also hoodwinked his own patronage-loving GOP into believing it. They dumped President Arthur from the ticket in 1884.

But President Arthur continues to dump on us via the Deep State he sired.

In endeavoring to protect GOP patronage from reform, Mr. Arthur began the federal bureaucracy’s long march to supremacy as the de facto fourth branch of government because he established and prioritized its principal aim as being insularity, not accountability. It is, perhaps, a historical accident that President Arthur signed the Pendleton Civil Service Reform Act on the cusp of the Progressive Era. But it is no accident that the progressives built upon this “civil service” and baked into it the belief of the elitist rule of unaccountable “experts” that would govern the unruly, ignorant, subordinate citizenry.

Like the old machine politician, the “Gentleman Boss,” history teaches that “politicians gonna politicize.” In the instance of today’s federal bureaucracy and its Deep State, it also means they are going to weaponize it, too.

This explains why so many Democrats have lately been reclassified from political appointees to protected civil servants. It allows them to subvert the agenda of a duly elected Republican president. Make no mistake, these bureaucrats relish their insularity and lack of accountability. They know the rules—and have created many of them—no one can better play by and, when necessary, evade them. Sadly, this bodes well for the aforementioned Mr. Brennan and Mr. Comey and bodes ill for the citizenry and the rule of law.

Of course, that many Democrats in the federal bureaucracy do not feel compelled by their duties to comply with the directives of a duly elected Republican president bodes ill for “our democracy.” Good luck trying to explain that to Democrats, who long ago came to believe that Deep State elitists are entitled to thwart democracy to save it.

Still, we live in an oft-unjust world. The current calls for using criminal statutes for punishing Deep State evildoers, while cathartic, are difficult, if not impossible, to heed. Such abuses of power likely need remedying through Congress and the President enacting new civil statutes with remedies to specifically curb instances of malfeasance of office and attain true civil service reform.

But let us all be ever mindful of the lessons of history: when something is deemed “bipartisan,” it means everyone gets screwed, and today’s “reform” is tomorrow’s problem.

Oh, and one more thing, Chester A. Arthur, “Gentleman Boss” and evil genius: curse you!
