An Iranian hacking attack against dozens of
Israeli computers succeeded in accessing the computer of an unidentified
former Israel Defense Forces chief of staff, according to a Channel 10
report on Tuesday.
The Iranians are believed to have obtained sensitive information from the computers affected.
According to the report, the hackers did not
do a clean job of the attack, leaving behind traces that enabled Israeli
security forces to identify them.
Once the hackers realized their efforts had been discovered, they stopped targeting Israeli computers.
