A new theory emerged: former CEO of a French airline claims that the US is behind the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370. The reason: the plane approached military bases in the Indian Ocean
A new theory regarding the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 last March over the Indian Ocean. According to Marc Dugain, a former French airline CEO, the US may have shot down the plane which had 239 passengers and crew on board. He claims that the command to shot down the Malaysian place was given after it had approached the American military bases in the island of Diego Garcia.
In a six-page article published in French glossy Paris Match, Marc Dugain says that the plane, Boeing 777, was shot down after the US forces feared the plane was attempting a 9/11 style attack on the base. “It’s an extremely powerful military base. It’s surprising that the Americans have lost all trace of this aircraft. Without getting into conspiracy theories, it is a possibility that the Americans stopped this plane."
Dugain writes that the aircraft, while on a scheduled flight from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, could have been hijacked remotely and then steered toward Diego Garcia. In addition, he argues that there are those who try to cover up the traces. After trying to open an independent investigation, Dugain claims he was approached by a British intelligence officer, who warned him he would be taking “risks” by trying to find out what really happened to the MH370.
Dugain doubts the US does not have any knowledge of the fate of the airliner, as it claims, claiming a state “equipped with the best technology in the world” could not have completely lost track of “a 63-meter-long object.”
