French media is reporting that an attempted terror attack against the Israeli Embassy in Brussels, Belgium, was foiled in August.
According to the report, two 15-year-old boys of Chechen origin, a French 16-year-old, and a 16-year-old Belgian were arrested after they planned to arrive at the Israeli Embassy in August armed with knives and rifles to murder police officers at the entrance and detonate an explosives-laden vehicle.
The police investigation found that the four wrote that if there were survivors, they would kill them as well. The correspondence between the suspects occurred on a message board of a video game and on a WhatsApp group.
"Our goal is to terrorize the Jews," they wrote in the group. "Killing only police officers is not effective. They know they can die in their work. But the people who work there think they live in security."
The French teen was punished several times at school after he sang chants to kill French people. According to authorities, the four held Jihadist ideologies related to ISIS.
The 16-year-old allegedly planned a similar attack in June and wanted to take hostages.
The suspects were arrested in France and Belgium. Three were indicted in Paris by an anti-terrorism judge for “criminal terrorist association” on August 31 and September 8. The Belgian was indicted for terrorism in Brussels.
