WW II Battleship sailor tells Obama to shape up or ship out !

This venerable and much honored WW II vet is well known in Hawaii for his seventy-plus years of service to patriotic organizations and causes all over the country. A humble man without a political bone in his body, he has never spoken out before about a government official, until now. He dictated this letter to a friend, signed it and mailed it to the president.

Dear President Obama,

My name is Harold Estes, approaching 95 on December 13 of this year. People meeting me for the first time don't believe my age because I remain wrinkle free and pretty much mentally alert.

I enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1934 and served proudly before, during and after WW II retiring as a Master Chief Bos'n Mate. Now I live in a "rest home" located on the western end of Pearl Harbor, allowing me to keep alive the memories of 23 years of service to my country.

One of the benefits of my age, perhaps the only one, is to speak my mind, blunt and direct even to the head man.

So here goes.

I am amazed, angry and determined not to see my country die before I do, but you seem hell bent not to grant me that wish.

I can't figure out what country you are the president of.

You fly around the world telling our friends and enemies despicable lies like:

" We're no longer a Christian nation"

" America is arrogant" - (Your wife even

announced to the world,"America is mean-

spirited. " Please tell her to try preaching

that nonsense to 23 generations of our

war dead buried all over the globe who

died for no other reason than to free a

whole lot of strangers from tyranny and

hopelessness.)

I'd say shame on the both of you, but I don't think you like America, nor do I see an ounce of gratefulness in anything you do, for the obvious gifts this country has given you. To be without shame or gratefulness is a dangerous thing for a man sitting in the White House.

After 9/11 you said," America hasn't lived up to her ideals."

Which ones did you mean? Was it the notion of personal liberty that 11,000 farmers and shopkeepers died for to win independence from the British? Or maybe the ideal that no man should be a slave to another man, that 500,000 men died for in the Civil War? I hope you didn't mean the ideal 470,000 fathers, brothers, husbands, and a lot of fellas I knew personally died for in WWII, because we felt real strongly about not letting any nation push us around, because we stand for freedom.

I don't think you mean the ideal that says equality is better than discrimination. You know the one that a whole lot of white people understood when they helped to get you elected.

Take a little advice from a very old geezer, young man.

Shape up and start acting like an American. If you don't, I'll do what I can to see you get shipped out of that fancy rental on Pennsylvania Avenue. You were elected to lead not to bow, apologize and kiss the hands of murderers and corrupt leaders who still treat their people like slaves.

And just who do you think you are telling the American people not to jump to conclusions and condemn that Muslim major who killed 13 of his fellow soldiers and wounded dozens more. You mean you don't want us to do what you did when that white cop used force to subdue that black college professor in Massachusetts, who was putting up a fight? You don't mind offending the police calling them stupid but you don't want us to offend Muslim fanatics by calling them what they are, terrorists.

One more thing. I realize you never served in the military and never had to defend your country with your life, but you're the Commander-in-Chief now, son. Do your job. When your battle-hardened field General asks you for 40,000 more troops to complete the mission, give them to him. But if you're not in this fight to win, then get out. The life of one American soldier is not worth the best political strategy you're thinking of.

You could be our greatest president because you face the greatest challenge ever presented to any president.

You're not going to restore American greatness by bringing back our bloated economy. That's not our greatest threat. Losing the heart and soul of who we are as Americans is our big fight now.

And I sure as hell don't want to think my president is the enemy in this final battle.

Sincerely,

Harold B. Estes

When a 95 year old hero of the "the Greatest Generation" stands up and speaks out like this, I think we owe it to him to send his words to as many americans as we can.

Please pass it on.

May God bless this man for speaking out. We should all be grateful for his message to Obama. None of us could have said it without being condemned and fried at the stake. He is a GREAT AMERICAN and an American treasure.

WE 'OWE IT' TO MR. ESTES TO INFORM HIM THAT THE CURRENT OCCUPANT OF THE "OVAL OFFICE"; THE "MAN" TO WHOM HE SO RESPECTFULLY REFERS TO AS; 'DEAR MR PRESIDENT' - IS NOT LEGALLY, CONSTITUTIONALLY, ANYTHING OF THE SORT. PERHAPS, NOT EVEN A CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY IF BORN ABROAD AND THAT IF HE FINDS MR OBAMA'S BEHAVIOR OBJECTIONABLE IT SHOULD COME AS NO SURPRISE. THIS IS WHY OUR FOREFATHERS FORBID NON-IMMIGRANT, FOREIGNERS, COMMITTED ALIENS FROM TAKING COMMAND-IN-CHIEF OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES

I commend whoever wrote this and all that agree with this. We need to get back to the Judeo-Christian based government we once had. The one where swearing was bad and speaking the name of our Savior was good. The one that set all people free and believed in hard work, honesty and kindness.

I wish I could thank Mr. Estes personally for his advice to Obama.

God bless you, Mr. Estes. You are one of only very few it seems, who have the guts to call it like it is. I hope and pray we see America restored in its faith, and pride in being the best place on earth to live...in spite of what Obama thinks.

Great letter, I'm 24 years old and would like to say everything this man said, but he has the wisdom to grant ears.

However, this brings up precisely what I think is wrong with YOUR generation... the adults of today. This is almost hysterical for me because a point I have been making for so long has been set up on a T for me.

This generation of adults has been there to fall for all of these lies and choose to stay blind to alternative agendas of politicians. And you/we are faced with the last great battle to keep our soul as a country...and the way you fight is "hey lets pass the email around" LOL. (that means laugh out loud, old timers) You were supposed to be on guard the last 30 years..instead you took advantage of the system..let greed get out of control..and remain blind to corrupt politicians.. now this is what we are faced with... and you want to fight this great battle by sending mass emails... Well good luck, and I will thank you in advance for failing to maintain our country for the next generation. Congrats!!

Congradulations SHIPMATE! My grandfather served in the navy from 1936-1966, and was an aviation machinist mate. My father was a machinist mate from 1957-1962. I was an Engineman from 1983-2006. Never had truer word spoken. We always learned that in peace as well as in war that the flag still waves! We were all ashamed that Jimmy Carter could even wear the Navy Uniform, and Obama simply makes me sick, PRESIDENTS DO NOT BOW TO COMMUNISTS !!! However, I will continue to defend our country especially against DOMESTIC enemies!...Thanks Again1

Amen! Thank you Mr. Estes. I, too, wish I could thank you in person. You've said most of what a lot of us have been thinking. I hope your letter opens the eyes of more Americans to the reality of the situation. Thank you again and God bless.

I'm only 25, but I agree with Mr. Estes 100%. When he said that men who are shameless and without appreciation are dangerous, those could've been my words directly. My number one issue with the Left Wing in the US is its inability to appreciate what they have. Their arrogance and snooty attitudes is astounding. My father used to tell me: if you don't appreciate what you have you're destined to lose it.

AMERICA IS NOT A 'CHRISTIAN' COUNTRY! It is a SECULAR country! The founding fathers were trying to ESCAPE a 'christian nation'! That is why there is no official establishment of christianity in the constitution or any other legal document!

IN GOD WE TRUST on US currency- 1864

christmas as a national holiday- 1870

IN GOD WE TRUST as a national motto- 1956

as you can see, america was TURNED into a 'christian nation'.

Thank you for your service to America Mr. Estes. America's founders, who escaped persecution for their religious beliefs such as Christianity, decided they wanted a nation that despite their substantially Christian numbers, it should not "establish" a religion. Still, even when they wrote the Declaration if Independence, Constitution, Federalist Papers, & so many more early documents, they included references by the dozens to their faith in God & their desire this nation be guided by the moral principles of their faith.
We may not have been established as an "official" Christian nation, but its influence on our founders is patently obvious to anyone who reads those founding documents or any of the writings of our founders. There is no "separation" of church & state as so many want the public to believe. This nation stipulated there was to be no "established" religion.
It is properly stated as "Freedom OF Religion, NOT Freedom FROM Religion.
Obama has already told us he thinks our constitution is an oppressive document. He felt "redistributive wealth" should have been included in our founders documents. The part this constitutional scholar missed is, we have equal OPPORTUNITY, NOT equal OUTCOMES! There can be no equal outcome since we are all different & it is those differences that have enabled us to become the greatest nation on the planet, ever!

ok, so they wrote the constitution and all the other papers. but in the treaty of tripoli (article 11) it states SPECIFICALLY "...the Government of the United States of America was not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion"

there it is. ratified unanimously by the US Senate.

America is NOT, in ANY sense, a Christian nation.

Mr. Harold Estes, I am honored by your military service, but I am honored by your service now. People across this country need to read this letter. I hope and pray you will live long enough to see Mr. Obama return to private life and begin work on his presidential library.

All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent.
Thomas Jefferson

You, Sir, did not and God bless you for it!!!!!!!
