Swalwell resigned from Congress and ended his gubernatorial bid earlier this year amid renewed scrutiny of his time in office and new allegations from women.

FBI agents seized former Rep. Eric Swalwell's, D-Calif., electronic devices when he arrived at San Francisco Airport on Saturday.

The agency confiscated the devices as part of an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations against him, multiple outlets reported. Agents later visited his D.C. home to seize additional materials on Sunday.

Among the devices the agents recovered were Swalwell's cell phone, Fox News reported.

Swalwell resigned from Congress and ended his gubernatorial bid earlier this year amid renewed scrutiny of his time in office and new allegations from women.

He previously sought the Democratic nomination for president in 2020 and was a prominent anti-Trump "resistance" figure.

The FBI declined to comment for this story.
