Trump makes new round of appointments including Mark Burnett, Tilman Fertitta - Just the News Staff

Others named this weekend include David Fink as head of the Federal Railroad Administration, Stephen Miran as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, and Aaron Reitz as head of the Justice Department’s Office Of Legal Policy.

 

President-elect Donald Trump has announced a new round of appointments and nominees to continue to fill the many positions directly picked by the president to serve in his administration. Among those named on Saturday are the billionaire owner of the Houston Rockets, Tilman Fertitta, as U.S. ambassador to Italy and “The Apprentice” producer Mark Burnett as special envoy to the U.K. 

Others named this weekend include David Fink as head of the Federal Railroad Administration, Stephen Miran as chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers, and Aaron Reitz as head of the Justice Department’s Office Of Legal Policy, according to Forbes  

Ambassador to Italy: Tilman Fertitta, besides owning the NBA Houston Rockets is also the principal owner of Landry’s, a Texas-based restaurant and entertainment company. He has an estimated net worth of $10.4 billion. Announcement on Truth Social

Special Envoy to the United Kingdom: In Trump’s announcement of Mark Burnett, he noted his career as a producer for shows like “Survivor,” “Shark Tank,” “The Voice” and Trump’s “The Apprentice.” Burnett is also a former chairman of MGM and a 13-time Emmy Award winner.

Council of Economic Advisers Chairman: In the announcement of Stephen Miran, Trump pointed out that he had served as a senior adviser at Treasury during his first term as president. Axios noted that Miran co-authored a paper last summer accusing the Biden administration of manipulating the economy ahead of the election.

Administrator of the Federal Railroad Administration: Trump announced David Fink, referring to him as a fifth-generation railroader. He was president of Pan Am Railways.  

Head of the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Policy: Trump announced Aaron Reitz as “Senator Ted Cruz’s Chief of Staff, and was previously Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s Deputy, where he led dozens of successful lawsuits against the lawless and crooked Biden Administration.”
