Toronto Shooting: Politically Correct Cover-Up? - Tom Quiggin

by Tom Quiggin

Hussain:"I want to kill someone... I just feel it would be really cool to kill somebody."

  • The Hussain "family statement" was not written by the murderer's parents at all, but rather by Mohammed Hashim, a professional activist connected with the National Council of Canadian Muslims. Its American parent organization, as stated in its own documents, is CAIR, designated as a terrorist entity by the United Arab Emirates.

  • Contrary to what Hashim purportedly wrote in the statement, there is no evidence that Hussain was diagnosed with or treated for a mental illness, even after one of his high-school teachers reported to the police 10 years ago that Hussain had said "I want to kill someone... I just feel it would be really cool to kill somebody."

  • Given the global climate, to which Canada most certainly has not been immune -- as well as Hussain's dubious connections -- the attempt by the government and the media to dismiss potential links to terrorist groups or inspiration from jihadist ideologies, is both premature and politically transparent.
On July 22, two youngsters -- 18-year-old Reese Fallon and 10-year-old Julianna Kozis -- were killed, and another 13 people, ranging in age from 17 to 59, were wounded in a brutal shooting attack at a number of restaurants on Danforth Avenue, in Toronto's popular Greektown neighborhood. The perpetrator, who was later identified as Faisal Hussain, killed himself after exchanging gunfire with police.

Hussain's firing stance and ability to reload his 40-caliber Smith and Wesson handgun while on the move suggested that he had experience with firearms.

The following morning, the Toronto Police Service issued a statement that indicated they had already identified the shooter, yet did not release his name until later that afternoon. Meanwhile, a statement allegedly from the Hussain family made the rounds in a number of news outlets.

The statement read, in part:
...We are utterly devastated by the incomprehensible news that our son was responsible for the senseless violence and loss of life that took place on the Danforth. Our son had severe mental health challenges, struggling with psychosis and depression his entire life. The interventions of professionals were unsuccessful. Medications and therapy were unable to treat him. While we did our best to seek help for him throughout his life of struggle and pain, we could never imagine that this would be his devastating and destructive end...
Much of the media, led by the CBC and the Toronto Star, accepted this version of the tragedy, and asserted that the mass shooting had not been a terrorist attack, while blaming a breakdown in the mental-health-care system for Hussain's actions and calling for stricter gun-control regulations.

Canadian Public Safety Minister Ralph Goodale said of Hussain, "There is no connection between that individual and national security."

It emerged, however, that the so-called Hussain "family statement" had not been written by the murderer's parents at all, but rather by Mohammed Hashim, a professional activist who served as chairman of the "Stronger Together" program of the National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM, formerly the Council of American Islamic Relations Canada or CAIR CAN). Its American parent organization, as stated in its own documents, is CAIR, designated as a terrorist entity by the United Arab Emirates.

CAIR was also identified as an unindicted co-conspirator in an American terrorism-funding trial whose judge determined it to be one of many organizations involved in funding Hamas.

In 2016, Hashim was instrumental in getting the Toronto Star to stop using the term "Islamic State" and refer to the terrorist group only as "Daesh," presumably to dissociate Islam from terrorism.

In 2017, Hashim was a speaker at an event held at the ISNA Islamic Centre of Canada facility in Toronto. (Three years earlier, the ISNA Development Foundation lost its status as a charity on the grounds that it had been funding terrorism.)

In addition, contrary to what Hashim purportedly wrote in the statement, there is no evidence that Hussain was diagnosed with or treated for a mental illness, even after one of his high-school teachers reported to the police 10 years ago that Hussain had said "I want to kill someone... I just feel it would be really cool to kill somebody." Although he was apprehended at the time under the Mental Health Act, he was released and deemed as not an immediate threat.

As for Faisal Hussain's actual family: Faisal has a brother, Fahad, who -- while awaiting trial for crack-dealing -- overdosed last summer on a cocktail of cocaine and heroin, leaving him in a vegetative state. Both Faisal and Fahad were friends with 33-year-old Maisum Ansari, who, according to the Toronto Sun, "was charged last September with possessing 53 kilograms of carfentanil, an analog of fentanyl and 100 times stronger than the painkiller and notoriously deadly street narcotic... the largest such seizure of the synthetic opioid in Canadian history."

During the investigation into Ansari's drug operations, police discovered a weapons cache in the basement of his rented-out house. This is possibly an example of the intersection of the drug trade and terrorism. Furthermore, carfentanil, specifically, has been of concern to the US government as a drug that also could be used as a chemical weapon.

The question of whether the Danforth shooting was an act of terrorism has yet to be answered.
Although ISIS claimed responsibility for the attack, Toronto police said they "have no evidence to support these claims."

Nevertheless, Faisal Hussain's actions need to be taken in a wider context. Since 2013, several low-scale terrorist attacks with an extremist Muslim connection have taken place in Canada. Among these were: the attempted 2013 bombing plot on a Via Rail train; the 2014 car-ramming attack that killed a Canadian soldier; the 2014 gun attack on the National War Memorial and Parliament; a 2016 botched suicide bombing that ended with only the terrorist dying; a 2016 knife attack on a Canadian Forces recruiting center, a 2016 knife attack in a Canadian Tire store by a woman claiming to work for ISIS; and a 2017 vehicle-ramming and knife attack.

More recently, a restaurant bombing in Mississauga on May 24, 2018, which left 15 people wounded, is still being investigated.

Since Faisal Hussain is dead, it is unlikely that a complete picture of what motivated him to commit a mass shooting will be painted. However, given the global climate, to which Canada most certainly has not been immune -- as well as Hussain's dubious connections -- the attempt by the government and the media to dismiss potential links to terrorist groups or inspiration from jihadist ideologies, is both premature and politically transparent.

Redeeming Palestine, in Tel Aviv - Dror Eydar

by Dror Eydar

In 2006, the Arab Higher Monitoring Committee published a comprehensive "vision paper," which every Jew who values life must read.

1.
It is not nice to generalize. So a handful of nationalist Arabs in Rabin Square in central Tel Aviv chanted "In blood and fire we will redeem Palestine," and a handful of others waved the PLO flag, and another handful quoted the late Yasser Arafat as saying a million martyrs are marching toward Jerusalem. That is a lot of handfuls.

Reading the accounts of Saturday's demonstration against the nation-state law may give the impression that it was a peaceful, pleasant protest for equality against a tyrannical, violent regime.

But here, for the benefit of those who refuse to see and hear, let us take a look at the organizer of the demonstration – the Arab Higher Monitoring Committee – and examine its opinion of Israel. It will help us understand why the New Israel Fund, Meretz, and Haaretz publisher Amos Schocken were all in attendance.

2.
In 2006, the Arab Higher Monitoring Committee published a comprehensive "vision paper," which every Jew who values life must read.

It opens with: "Israel is the outcome of a settlement process initiated by the Zionist-Jewish elite in Europe and the West and realized by colonial countries contributing to it and by promoting Jewish immigration to Palestine, in light of the results of the Second World War and the Holocaust."

According to the committee, Jews have no history in this land, no religious or cultural heritage that is thousands of years old. We are nothing but foreign invaders, European colonialists who conquered land that was not theirs. Israel is the result of a colonialist plot hatched by the Jewish elites with the help of the Europeans who wanted to "compensate" us for the Holocaust.

3.
The underlying assumption held by the authors of this document, which they define as "crystallizing facts," is that "the Palestinian Arabs in Israel are the indigenous people of the country and have a historic and material relationship with their homeland emotionally, nationally, religiously and culturally. They are an integral vital and inseparable part of the Palestinian people."

So the Arabs who demonstrated in Rabin Square on Saturday are, in their view, the "original" inhabitants of this land. Unlike us, the foreign invaders, they have emotional, religious and cultural attachments to the land. And of course, they are part of an ancient Palestinian-Arab nation that has lived here since the dawn of humanity.

American author Mark Twain must have been mistaken when he toured the region in 1867 and saw a sparsely populated land.

As I have written many times in the past, the Muslim conquerors arrived in the seventh century from the Arabian Peninsula, and over the centuries forced much of the Jewish population to convert to Islam, and expelled the rest. Sure. Original inhabitants.

4.
Between the chants of blood and fire and pillars of smoke in the town square, which was turned into the Palestine redemption square for a night, people were talking about equality. But contrary to the empty words spewed by Opposition Leader MK Tzipi Livni, who called for the nation-state law to be revoked in the name of equality, civil equality already exists for all citizens of the state. Is there better proof of equality than a group of Israeli citizens waving enemy flags in the heart of Tel Aviv, the first Hebrew city, without hindrance? Just because they have convinced themselves that this is an "apartheid state" does not mean that it is.

Legal equality also exists already. If Jews had disrupted the blood and fire demonstration in the square or in any way disturbed the nationalist bacchanalia there, they would surely have been arrested. Democracy remains intact.

5.
So what equality were the demonstrators talking about? What are they actually demanding? Here are some of the demands listed in the Arab Higher Monitoring Committee's vision paper:

  • "An official recognition of the collective Palestinian Arabs' existence in the state and their national, religious, cultural and language character, and recognition that they are the indigenous people of the homeland."
  • "Recognition of the Palestinian Arab rights of complete equality in the state on a collective national basis."
  • "Guarantee of self-rule of the Palestinian Arabs in the fields of education, religion, culture and media and recognizing their right to self-determination with respect to their collective life complementing their partnership within the state."
  • "Guaranteeing the right of the Palestinian Arabs to have open and free relations with the rest of the Palestinian people and the Arab nation."
  • Guaranteeing the rights of the Palestinian Arabs in issues obliterated in the past such as the current absentees (refugees in their homeland) and their right of return; the Islamic Waqf (endowment); unrecognized Arab villages and land confiscation.
  • Official acknowledgment of the historical injustice against the Palestinian Arabs in this country and against the Palestinians in general and a guarantee to end this injustice and correct its continuous disastrous consequences.
Is that clear enough? They do not want only civil and individual rights, they want a "collective national equality" and a return to the "unrecognized Arab villages" and to the "confiscated land." In other words, they want to destroy the State of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people, and turn it into a binational or even multinational state – in effect, an Arab state.

For years, we have been conditioned to feel uncomfortable saying this, because it makes us sound "radical." But the radicals are the people who wrote this vision paper, not us.

6.
This general idea, in its purest form, was clearly represented in an Arabic post published online by Israeli Arab MK Hanin Zoabi (in Arabic) before the protest.

"Challenging the nation-state law without challenging the Zionist ideology would be futile," Zoabi wrote.
"Let's make the Arab Higher Monitoring Committee demonstration a success in uniting against the nation-state law, and then work together to make it part of an entire initiative against Zionism."

Did you hear that, you useful Jews who marched in the square?

Later in the post, Zoabi detailed the principles behind the demonstration, including "no Israeli flags."
Moreover, "the demonstration is staged by the Palestinian owners of the homeland. Anyone who wants to express solidarity with us against the law, is welcome to do so within our guidelines."

Zoabi obviously sees the demonstration a strategic turning point with the power to change the entire Palestinian cause. She is enthusiastic about the way she and her buddies have shaped a "civil idea" she calls the "liberation project," and claims the Israeli establishment does not know how to confront it.

7.
In her post, Zoabi also said the demonstration was being organized by the Arab Higher Monitoring Committee and "therefore, there will not be any slogans other than those approved by the monitoring committee."

So what say you now? A handful? Really?

Before the demonstration, the head of the Israeli office of the New Israel Fund, Mickey Gitzin, urged Israelis to attend the demonstration because "the future of the Israeli Left depends on a Jewish-Arab partnership." Israeli Author Nir Baram wrote that "without the Palestinian citizens of Israel, the Left has no power, no [political] bloc."

After Saturday's demonstration, the future of the Israeli Left is questionable.

The Turkish-Palestinian Hate Fest - Uzay Bulut

by Uzay Bulut

If Palestinian Arabs are stateless today, it is by their own choice. Their leaders have chosen to expend their energies on wiping Israel from the face of the earth rather than on establishing a state of their own next to Israel.

  • Ahed Tamimi has called on "Palestinians to murder Israelis through 'martyrdom-seeking operations' (i.e., suicide bombings), stabbing attacks, and stone-throwing..." — Bradley Martin, researcher.
  • If Palestinian Arabs are stateless today, it is by their own choice. Their leaders have chosen to expend their energies on wiping Israel from the face of the earth rather than on establishing a state of their own next to Israel.
  • Palestinian Arabs keep rejecting offers to establish a state of their own, according to David Brog, with Israel, Britain and the UN having offered Palestinian Arabs the opportunity to build their own state on five separate occasions -- in 1936, 1947, 1967, 2000, and 2008.
  • Turkey, on the other hand, has never accepted the right to self-rule of any non-Turkish people living in Asia Minor and historic Armenia, which is today eastern Turkey.
Ahed Tamimi, a 17-year-old Palestinian girl, was released from an Israeli prison on July 29, after sitting in jail and prison for almost 8 months. In March, she had been sentenced to an 8-month sentence after pleading guilty to charges of assault and incitement. Ahed was welcomed in the West Bank like a "hero". "A crowd of supporters jostled for selfies with the teen," the Washington Post reported.

Ahed became the center of international attention on December 15 when she assaulted an Israeli soldier. The soldier did not respond. Her mother posted the video on Facebook. In the video, Ahed is seen slapping and punching the soldier.

Immediately after her attack on the soldier on December 15, Ahed's mother, who was filming Ahed, reportedly asked her daughter what kind of message she wanted to convey to viewers. Ahed replied, in part:
"Our strength is in our stones.... Whether it is stabbings or suicide bombings or throwing stones, everyone must do his part and we must unite in order for our message to be heard that we want to liberate Palestine."
Later, Ahed and her mother were both arrested for the attack. Despite her public praising of violence, Ahed is now being lauded by many media outlets as a new "Palestinian protest icon."

Among her biggest supporters was Turkey's president Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan, who congratulated her by telephone hours after her release from prison. ErdoÄŸan "lauded her bravery and determination to fight", and "assured the [Tamimi] family that Turkey's support for Palestinian's just fight would continue," reported the Turkish pro-government newspaper Sabah.

That was not the first interaction between Erdogan and Tamimi. In 2012, Erdogan, then Turkey's prime minister, and his wife, met and had breakfast with Ahed and her mother Nariman Tamimi, in the city of Sanliurfa in Turkey. Congratulating Ahed for her "courage", Erdogan reportedly gave her family and her some presents.

"Among the gifts PM Erdogan gave me are a cell phone, the holy Koran, a headscarf for my mother and a tie for my father," said Ahed. "That is a moment I will never forget throughout my entire life. I would like to thank him for always standing by Palestine."

In the same year, Ahed was given the "Hanzala Courage Award" by BaÅŸakÅŸehir Municipality in Istanbul.

What the municipality awarded was not "courage" at all, but Ahed and her family's violence and hatred for Jews. According to researcher Bradley Martin:
"Nariman Tamimi, her mother, praised female Palestinian terrorists who collectively murdered 55 Israelis, including 21 children, and wounded more than 300 people. When the so-called 'stabbing intifada' began in late 2015, Nariman shared graphic instructions for prospective Palestinian terrorists on where to aim their knives in order to achieve the most lethal outcome.
"Then there is Ahed's father Bassem Tamimi, who regularly promotes some of the most vile antisemitic conspiracy theories. "
...
"Is it any wonder then that Ahed herself has loyally followed her family's example, even calling on Palestinians to murder Israelis through 'martyrdom-seeking operations' (i.e., suicide bombings), stabbing attacks, and stone-throwing?"
The Tamimi family includes terrorists who murdered Israelis, including children. One is Ahlam Tamimi, who masterminded and helped carry out the 2001 Sbarro massacre in Jerusalem. The bomb at the Sbarro restaurant killed 15 civilians, including seven children and a pregnant woman. 130 people were injured. Ahlam, a cousin of Ahed's, was given a life sentence. But, in 2011, she was released as part of the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange between Hamas and Israel. Ahlam has declared that she is proud of her role in the massacre.
Malki Roth, aged 15, was among those murdered in the Sbarro massacre.

"We know who plotted the Sbarro barbarism," wrote Arnold Roth, Malki's father, recently. "It was not Ahed Tamimi. But when her clan, the Tamimis of Nabi Saleh, get together to celebrate it, as we know they do, she is an enthusiastic participant."
"In a village where almost everyone is related by blood and (yes, and) marriage, Ahed is a cousin of one of the attack's perpetrators, Ahlam Tamimi, in multiple ways. Ahlam now lives free in Jordan. She boasts that she chose the site for the explosion, seeking to kill as many Jewish children as possible, and that she planted the human bomb. Via social media, public speeches and (for five years) her own TV program, she urges others to follow her lead.
"When Ahlam married Nizar Tamimi – also a murderer from the village – a few months after both walked free in the Gilad Shalit prisoner-exchange deal, Ahed was there to dance and gaze adoringly at the bride.
"But neither her gaze nor her ideas are the problem – it's what others do with them.
"Ahed's parents make a living from propagandizing against Israel. They fashioned and groomed Ahed, leveraging her blondness, pushing her into staged conflicts with Israeli soldiers from when she was 10, deliberately putting her at real risk on a weekly basis for years – long before she had the ability to discern what was being done to her."
...
"On the day of the slapping/ kicking incident that led to her facing criminal charges, Ahed's mother pointed one of her cameras at the girl. She told her to speak to the world. And she did. The girl's message was angry, urging anti-Israel violence and more conflict.
"Though published and promoted by advocates of the Israeli cause, what Ahed said in that clip was largely ignored, as if she had said nothing. Its harsh reality was and still is denied."
...
"They also deny what Ahed symbolizes – identification with the vicious murderers in her own clan, with explosive rage, with a horrifying zealotry that brings people to push their society's innocent children onto the front lines."

Ahlam Tamimi happily recounts how she blew up a supermarket in Jerusalem, in an interview with Kuwaiti television. (Image source: MEMRI video screenshot)

Why, though, are Arabs doing this -- murdering Israeli Jews and sacrificing their own children? Because Palestinians do not have a state of their own? Quite the reverse: it is the precisely the Palestinian Arabs who have repeatedly rejected a two-state solution. Israel has taken multiple steps to make peace with Arabs in the region, but as Palestinian Arabs have been more interested in destroying the Jewish state than building a nation of their own, peaceful coexistence has not been possible.

If Palestinian Arabs are stateless today, it is by their own choice. Their leaders have repeatedly made a conscious decision to expend their energies on wiping Israel from the face of the earth rather than on establishing a state of their own next to Israel. According to a report by Palestinian Media Watch:
"The Palestinian Authority makes no attempt to educate its people towards peace and coexistence with Israel. On the contrary, from every possible platform it repeatedly rejects Israel's right to exist, presents the conflict as a religious battle for Islam, depicts the establishment of Israel as an act of imperialism, and perpetuates a picture of the Middle East, both verbally and visually, in which Israel does not exist at all. Israel's destruction is said to be both inevitable and a Palestinian obligation."
In 2013, Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas once again declared his "vision" for a future Palestinian state; it sounds like ethnic cleansing: "In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli - civilian or soldier - on our lands," Abbas said, according to Reuters.

In his article "The 17-year-old terrorist," Michael Dickson documents how Palestinians are incited to Israel- and Jew-hatred in almost every sphere in their lives – at hospitals, schools, as well as cultural, artistic and sports events:
"There are a large number of terrorism-lionizing schools in Gaza and under the Palestinian Authority's control. Dalal Mughrabi was behind the infamous 1978 bus bombing in which 37 Israelis, 10 of them children, were murdered. There is a Dalal Mughrabi school in Gaza, a Dalal Mughrabi High School in Hebron and a Dalal Mughrabi kindergarten in Hebron. What should we assume that students at these supposedly-educational institutions learn about their school's namesake?"
"Why Isn't There a Palestinian State?" is the title of a video by David Brog, Director of Strategic Affairs for Christians United for Israel. In it, he details the history of Palestinian Arabs rejecting the offers to establish a state of their own. According to Brog, Israel, Britain and the UN have offered Palestinian Arabs the opportunity to build their own state on five separate occasions -- in 1936, 1947, 1967, 2000, and 2008.

In 2005, Israel also "unilaterally left Gaza, giving the Palestinians complete control there," says Brog.
"Instead of developing this territory for the good of its citizens, the Palestinians turned Gaza into a terrorist base, from which they have fired thousands of rockets into Israel.
"Each time Israel has agreed to a Palestinian state, the Palestinians have rejected the offer, often violently. So, if you're interested in peace in the Middle East, maybe the answer is not to pressure Israel to make yet another offer of a state to the Palestinians. Maybe the answer is to pressure the Palestinians to finally accept the existence of a Jewish State."
Muslims make up a majority of the population in 49 countries around the world today. There are 21 Arab states across the world (plus the Palestinian Authority and Hamas-ruled Gaza). And there are six recognized Turkic states. But the existence of one Israeli state in ancient Jewish homeland disturbs Erdogan and other extremist Muslims and Jew-haters.

Turkey, however, has never accepted the right to self-rule of any non-Turkish people living in Asia Minor and historic Armenia, which is today eastern Turkey.

Assyrians (fewer than 15,000), Armenians (fewer than 60,000) and Greeks (fewer than 2,000) -- the indigenous peoples of the region -- are now tiny minorities in Turkey. They were either murdered, deported or forced to flee for their lives throughout decades due to discrimination and various pressures. According to the Christian watchdog group Open Doors, "In Turkey, a mixture of Islam and fierce nationalism leads to Christian persecution... The high degree of religious nationalism in Turkish society places incredible pressure on Christians."

During the 1990s, for example, while the war between the Turkish military and the PKK (Kurdistan Workers' Party) was escalating, thousands of Assyrians and Yazidis had to leave their ancestral land in southeast Turkey because there was no security or stability in the region anymore.

Yazidis, an indigenous non-Muslim people in the Middle East, say that they have been exposed to 74 genocidal attacks, and that most of these massacres took place under the Ottoman rule. The Yazidi population in southeast Turkey is only around 320, the head of the Yazidi Cultural Foundation, Azad Barış, told Gatestone.

Turkish state authorities have systematically engaged in rewriting history to deny realitiesand do not permit a free debate on these issues. Kurdish activists who request equal rights either get murdered or languish in jail. Almost one in three members of Turkey's leading Kurdish political party, the HDP, have been detained since 2015, the news website Mesopotamia Agency reported.

In the meantime, Turkey is openly supporting and praising Ahed Tamimi, a brainwashed Palestinian teenaged girl who has incited and engaged in violence, and whose family members have murdered Israeli children. The Turkish government -- with its horrifying human rights record -- is doing what has come to be expected of it: supporting anti-Semites and jihadists that target non-Muslims in the region. Sadly, the only feature that is really shocking is that many self-proclaimed supporters of human rights, such as in the European Union, as well as journalists, support the same Jew-hating murderers and the genocidal ideology behind them.

Susan Rice's Sudden Concern over US 'Moral Leadership' - Joseph Klein

by Joseph Klein

Her latest hypocritical tirade against the Trump administration.

Susan Rice, former President Obama’s national security adviser and ambassador to the United Nations, has penned another one of her self-righteous columns for the New York Times. This op-ed is entitled “Trump’s Autocratic Friends.” Ms. Rice accused the Trump administration of abdicating American moral leadership by refusing to criticize “obvious human rights abuses.” The trigger for her tirade was her belief that the Trump administration failed to side adequately with Canada in its dispute with Saudi Arabia regarding Saudi Arabia’s imprisonment of prominent human rights and women’s rights activists. “The president tolerates Saudi abuses instead of defending Canada,” Ms. Rice wrote. “This is the hallmark of the Trump administration’s approach to violations of human rights, particularly when committed by autocratic friends.” The Trump administration, she added, “conveyed to Saudi Arabia and others that they can commit abuses without a word of concern, much less condemnation, from Washington.” She then lumped Israel together with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries in claiming that the Trump administration “has rolled over and played dead while they do whatever they please.”

Sorry Ms. Rice, but you doth protest too much. It was your boss, not President Trump, who rolled over for autocrats in the Middle East while throwing the only real democracy in the Middle East, Israel, under the bus.
Amnesty International criticized Obama’s “public silence on Saudi Arabian human rights” during his trip to the Saudi kingdom in 2014. “There was no open mention of the Saudi crackdown on peaceful political activists, a crackdown that brands anyone who speaks out a criminal and sends them to jail,” Amnesty International wrote. “There was no clear support for religious minority groups who are standing strong for their right to practice religion.” To make sure nobody missed the point, Amnesty International concluded, “President Obama had a real chance to change that in his visit to Saudi Arabia. He failed.”
Does Susan Rice not remember when Obama literally bowed in deference to Saudi King Abdullah as he greeted him at the opening of the G20 meeting in London in April 2009?  Has she forgotten Obama’s decision to place the Saudis’ wishes to evade accountability over the demands for justice from 9/11 victims’ families? That is precisely what Obama did when he vetoed a bill that Congress passed unanimously allowing these families to sue Saudi Arabia over alleged links to the 2001 terrorist attacks. Obama protected Saudi Arabia rather than stick up for aggrieved American citizens, despite evidence supporting suspicions of potential links between some of the hijackers and individuals affiliated with the Saudi government. Fortunately, Congress voted overwhelmingly to override Obama’s veto.
President Obama not only literally bowed to Saudi King Abdullah. He metaphorically bowed to the Islamists in his June 2009 Cairo apologia to the Muslim world for the West’s alleged misdeeds. Veteran observer of Islamist hypocrisy, Anne Beyefsky, has called Obama the “apologist-in-chief” for focusing on the United States’ supposed failure to adequately protect Muslims’ human rights instead of holding the Muslim world to account for its own abysmal human rights record.
Obama’s groveling “engagement” with the ruling thugs in Iran led him to turn his back on the millions of Green Movement dissidents protesting in the streets against the fraudulent 2009 re-election of the hardline Islamist conservative Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. According to Wall Street Journal reporter Jay Solomon, the author of "The Iran Wars," Obama’s White House told the CIA to “stand down” and not provide support to the Green Movement protesters.  Obama also ended programs under which the U.S. would have continued documenting Iranian human rights abuses. Obama did not want anything to interfere with his intention to negotiate what turned out to be his disastrous nuclear deal with the Iranian regime, which included cash windfalls for the mullahs and their henchmen.
Obama also admired Turkey’s authoritarian President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Obama described the Islamist leader, who unapologetically called Zionism “a crime against humanity,” as "a strong ally and partner in the region and around the world" during a joint news conference in 2013. Obama praised Erdogan's "reforms" and said "we will support efforts in Turkey to uphold the rule of law and good governance and human rights for all." When the two leaders met at the Nuclear Security Summit held in South Korea in March of 2012, Obama called Erdogan his “friend and colleague.”
Erdogan's jails have housed more journalists than any other country in the world, including even Iran and Russia. His government also arrested an American pastor residing in Turkey, Andrew Brunson, in 2016 on suspicions of collaborating with terrorists. The Obama administration stood by while the pastor remained in a Turkish jail without any formal charges filed against him. In contrast to the Obama administration’s decision not to confront Obama’s “friend and colleague,” the Trump administration has acted forcefully against Erdogan’s regime.
“The United States will impose large sanctions on Turkey for their long-time detainment of Pastor Andrew Brunson, a great Christian, family man and wonderful human being,” Trump wrote in a tweet. “He is suffering greatly. This innocent man of faith should be released immediately!” President Trump followed through on his warning.
Susan Rice’s latest tirade is yet another attempt of hers to rewrite the failed legacy of the Obama administration’s foreign policy and to project its moral failings onto the Trump administration. Indeed, the Obama administration was complicit in making excuses for Islamists and enabling them to whitewash their records of serial human rights abuses while piling on against Israel. By deciding to join the dysfunctional UN Human Rights Council in 2009, the Obama administration legitimized the most prominent international platform exploited by the Islamist theocracies and other autocratic regimes to propagate their lies. Susan Rice herself, while serving in her capacity as the U.S. ambassador to the UN, said the Obama administration decided to join the Human Rights Council "because we believe that working from within, we can make the council a more effective forum to promote and protect human rights." She failed. The Council moved further and further towards becoming the very antithesis of a body truly devoted to protecting human rights.
The Trump administration removed the Human Rights Council’s cloak of hypocrisy and pulled the United States out of this immoral cesspool. “If the Human Rights Council is going to attack countries that uphold human rights and shield countries that abuse human rights, then America should not provide it with any credibility,” Nikki R. Haley, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said in announcing the withdrawal decision. Susan Rice’s reaction to news of the decision was “Retreat. Withdraw. Fail” – a succinct phrase, to be sure, but one that far more aptly belongs on the epitaph for the Obama administration’s failed foreign policy.

The Wahhaj Family Compound and their Dem-Connected Father - Matthew Vadum

by Matthew Vadum

The open extremists operating in the Democratic Party's midst.

It turns out the man arrested for running a Muslim terrorist training compound in rural New Mexico is the son of an influential Democrat-connected jihadist imam who was close to the Blind Sheikh who orchestrated the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993 that left six people dead.
Siraj Ibn Wahhaj Jr., who is 39 or 40, of Clayton County, Ga., was arrested after authorities found 11 hungry, filthy children living in squalid conditions in a remote part of New Mexico. Wahhaj, who has been charged with felony child abuse, had reportedly been training the children to commit school shootings. The remains of a three-year-old disabled boy, since identified as Wahhaj’s son, were discovered on the property which was filled with weapons. Two of Wahhaj’s sisters and two other adults were also arrested.
Investigative reporter Paul Sperry reports that Wahhaj "has been on the radar of federal counterterrorism officials for the past 13 years on suspicion of jihadist activity."
Despite abundant evidence of suspicious activities, timid FBI officials refused to raid the compound, instead sending a neighbor in wearing a hidden camera. The reluctance of the agents of the embattled law enforcement agency to act may be based on fear of being accused of so-called Islamophobia. Fortunately, local police did their duty and entered the property and discovered the children in what some described as Third World living conditions.
Wahhaj’s father, who shares his name, is deeply involved in Democrat politics. Wahhaj is the imam of Brooklyn, New York’s At-Taqwa Mosque and used to be a member of CAIR’s national board of advisers.
Imam Wahhaj offered an opening prayer at an event called “Jumah at the DNC” at the Democratic National Convention in 2012, as blogger Israel Matzav and others reported at the time.
Wahhaj the elder has been called the spiritual adviser of jihad sympathizer and Bernie Sanders supporter Linda Sarsour. Sarsour co-chairs the Women’s March organization and openly admits being a member of America’s largest Marxist group, the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
Sarsour, who in 2017, urged Muslims to wage jihad against the Trump administration and refuse to assimilate into American society. She praised the imam effusively last year at the annual convention of the terrorism-linked Islamic Society of North America (ISNA):
And to my favorite person in this room, that’s mutual, is Imam Siraj Wahhaj, who has been a mentor, motivator, and encourager of mine. Someone who has taught me to speak truth to power, and not worry about the consequences. Someone who has taught me that we are on this earth to please Allah and only Allah, and that we are not here to please any man or woman on this earth. So I am grateful to you Imam Siraj, and you might think this is weird, but every once in a while, when I get into that deep dark place, Imam Siraj comes and talks to me. And he helps me to emerge out of those places, so I’m grateful to you Imam Siraj, and may Allah bless you and protect you for a long time for our community, because we need you now more than ever.
The elder Wahhaj has ties to Broward County, Fla., where Nikolas Cruz murdered 17 people on Feb. 14 at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. The response of county officials, especially of Sheriff Scott Israel (D) and his cowardly deputies who refused to confront the spree killer at the scene, has been heavily criticized.
Imam Wahhaj, 68, was a keynote speaker at two fundraising banquets held by the Florida chapter of the terrorist-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) at the end of 2016. He was invited to speak by Florida CAIR chief Nezar Hamze, who is also one of Israel’s deputies in Broward County.
Wahhaj Sr. was reportedly an honored guest at Hillary Clinton’s Department of State and the Obama White House. He is said to have been the first Muslim to lead prayer at the U.S. House of Representatives in 1991. Citing Islamic law, he has called for death for gays and lesbians. He previously predicted U.S. democracy would "crumble" and be supplanted by Islam, adding it is "our duty as Muslims to replace the U.S. Constitution with the Quran."
The Muslim cleric was previously named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 bomb attack on the World Trade Center that was carried out by Omar Abdel Rahman, also known as the Blind Sheikh, who died in a U.S. prison last year while serving a life sentence. Wahhaj Sr. was a character witness for the sheikh, who has been tied to several Muslim terrorist organizations, at his trial. In his testimony, he said Rahman was a “respected scholar ... bold ... [and] a strong preacher of Islam,” and that he felt honored to have hosted Rahman at his mosque.
Not long after the trial, during a sermon Wahhaj said, “I’m not frightened by no list, by no government! I thank Allah. I’m honored that they thought enough of me to put me on a list.” Several congregants from his mosque were charged and convicted of providing material support for Muslim terrorists in the period leading up to the 1993 bombing.
According to Discover The Networks:
[Imam] Wahhaj has been a longtime supporter of Hizb ut-Tahrir, an organization that seeks to create a worldwide Islamic caliphate, or kingdom, governed by Sharia Law. In the summer of 1994, Wahhaj attended a Hizb ut-Tahrir conference in London, where Islamists openly called for jihad, denounced democracy, and declared that “the Islamic system is the only alternative for mankind.” Less than a week later, back in the U.S., Wahhaj lauded Hizb ut-Tahrir's "scholarly brothers" for their "good insight" and "their pushing for the Khilafah [Caliphate]."
The sordid activities of Siraj Ibn Wahhaj Sr. have already been well-documented.
The investigation into Siraj Ibn Wahhaj Jr. is only just beginning.

Trump Should Release Secret Report on the True Number of Palestinian Refugees - Clifford Smith

by Clifford Smith

Whereas the number of refugees from the original 1948 Arab-Israeli war would likely number in the tens of thousands, the UNRWA also counts people generations removed from the conflict, many of whom are citizens of new countries, in addition to everyone living in their internationally recognized homes of Gaza and the West Bank.

The Trump administration is supposedly considering declassifying a State Department report that tallies up the true number of Palestinian refugees.

If Trump does this, the repercussions could go a long way to settling the Arab-Israeli conflict.

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees, or UNRWA, classifies refugees unlike any other organization in the world, and in a way that contradicts common sense.

This politically motivated definition raises the number of "refugees" to an estimated 5.3 million. And that number is used by Palestinians to claim a “right of return” to Israel for a number greater than half of Israel's entire population.

Until today, there has been no official acknowledgment of the true number of refugees. Governments and international organizations around the world instead pay lip service to UNRWA’s fiction that the number of refugees has expanded many times over since the 1948 war.

This will change if the Trump administration releases the classified report.

The origin of the report goes back to 2012, when the Middle East Forum’s Washington Project approached then-Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill. with the idea that America should adopt a policy that only recognized as refugees those who would fit its own legal definition of a refugee. Kirk proposed sweeping language to appropriations legislation to that effect, but President Barack Obama's State Department objected that this would be prejudicial to Israeli-Palestinian negotiations. Deputy Secretary of State Thomas Nides wrote that the provision “would be viewed around the world as the United States acting to prejudge and determine the outcome of this sensitive issue.” Largely as a result, Kirk’s original language was not adopted.

But Kirk did manage to get compromise language, requiring the State Department to issue a report on the issue of the true definition, passed as part of the fiscal 2015 appropriations legislation. But then no one heard nothing more about the report for over a year. Kirk assumed the State Department had simply ignored the committee’s direction.

But as it turns out, that wasn't so. The Middle East Forum learned that the report had, in fact, been written. Committee staffers in the House of Representatives were even informed of its existence. But instead of making it public, the clear intent of the legislation, the State Department classified it. Moreover, it failed to inform Kirk’s office, which had the largest stake in the report, or relevant Senate committee staffers that it had been completed.

Upon learning this, Kirk moved in 2016 to pass another provision forcing the State Department either to produce a nonclassified version of the report, or to inform the Committee why it could not do so. State still chose not to declassify the report.

This year, Rep. Doug Lamborn, R-Colo., wrote a letter to President Trump signed by 50 other members of Congress, asking that the report be declassified. Rep. Chris Stewart, R-Utah, viewed the report, and said in a subsequent interview that "there’s no reason in the world it’s classified.”

The Foundation for the Defense of Democracies also called for declassification, as did Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, saying "The American people deserve to see this reported State Department assessment, so Congress and the administration can have a transparent and productive debate about America's role in the organization.”

In July, the American Center for Law and Justice obtained a version of the report via a Freedom of Information Act request and a subsequent lawsuit. Unfortunately, it was heavily redacted and omits the most crucial information — the true number of refugees. A recent story citing State Department sources pins the total at just 20,000 refugees, nowhere near the 5.3 million that UNRWA claims and the State Department has previously adopted. The public won’t know for sure unless the Trump administration finally releases an unredacted version of the report.

Hopefully, the Trump Administration will release this report. Telling the truth about the number of refugees, rather than the fictional number provided by UNRWA, would be a big step to unraveling expansive “right of return” claims, ending a threat to Israel’s existence.

Refuting Omarosa's Trump-is-Racist Lie - Lloyd Marcus

by Lloyd Marcus

Omarosa obviously cares more about destroying Trump than she cares about the good he is doing for her fellow blacks and fellow Americans.

My fellow Americans, I am so weary of people on the national stage willing to sacrifice the best interest of our country and people to serve their egos and personal vendettas. Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman is the latest to show her true colors. Omarosa was fired. Now she is claiming she heard Trump use the N-word.
President Trump has been awesome for minorities, sending black and Hispanic unemployment to historic lows. So what good does Omarosa's unsubstantiated claim do for anyone other than feed the American left's lie that Trump is racist? Clearly, Manigault-Newman is another ego and power-driven person making it all about herself. The American left will treat Omarosa's claim like manna-from-heaven; promoting it 24/7. The American left is so obsessed with blocking Trump from making America great again that they will use any and every despicable evil low-life tactic necessary.
The American left claims to be outraged over the possibility of Trump using the N-word. Meanwhile, their operatives freely use the N-word and racial slurs to trash patriotic blacks. For years, leftists have called me a “stupid n*****” for loving my country. The American left did not have a problem with Bill Clinton saying this about Obama, “A few years ago, this guy would have been getting us coffee.” The American left was not particularly outraged when former KKK member and Democratic Senator Robert Byrd said, “I've seen a lot of white niggers in my time...”
When black Republican Michael Steele ran for U.S. Senate, a leftist defaced Steele's photo to depict him in blackface. The caption with the racist photo said, “Simple Sambo wants to move to the big house.”
The American left had no problem with the N-word when cartoonist Ted Rall declared black Secretary of State Condolezza Rice Bush's “house nigga”.
Years ago, I attended a party in which white guys were freely using the N-word, quoting lines from Quentin Tarantino's Pulp Fiction movie. It was as though the movie made it cool. I was taken aback. In my day, if a white person disrespected you by using the N-word in your presence, as a black person, you were obligated to kick their butt. But somehow, the leftist movie director using the N-word made it okay -- even cool. Tarantino's movies obsessively use the N-word -- 110 times in Django Unchained and 65 times in The Hateful Eight. The American left says, hey, it is acceptable because Tarantino is one of us.
White kids think it is okay to spout the N-word when they are quoting rap songs. Anyone caught criticizing black rappers for using the N-word is deemed “racist” by the left for not understanding black culture.
Notice the American left's glaring hypocrisy regarding who is allowed to use the N-word.
The entire Trump-is-racist-narrative is rooted in smoke, mirrors, lies, and spin. On numerous occasions I've asked fellow blacks to name one thing Trump has done to confirm he is racist. They cannot. They simply believe Trump is racist because fake news media says he is. In desperation to prove me wrong, they parrot leftists' absurd lie that “Make America Great Again” is code for turning back the clock on freedom for blacks and women.
I find it extraordinary how the American left has twisted Trumps words. For crying out loud, we live here. This is our country. Isn't it common sense that every American should want their homeland made great? And yet, leftists call the statement “hate-speech” and are physically attacking Americans wearing “MAGA” caps and t-shirts.
Along with 63 million other Americans, I knew presidential candidate Trump had a heart for his country. This is why I am the singer/songwriter of the “Trump Train” music video. In a remarkably short amount of time, Trump has brought back jobs, putting Americans back to work. Our economy is booming. Trump has put the world on notice that they can no long undermine the U.S. and expect us to shower them with money. Trump truly is a new sheriff in town, standing up for America's best interest.
Omarosa obviously cares more about destroying Trump than she cares about the good he is doing for blacks and Americans. It is time we tell these petty all-about-me people to go away.
