Democrat Voter Fraud in Minnesota - Bruce Hendry

 by Bruce Hendry

What most people would call voter fraud is actually legal in Minnesota elections.

Frontpagemag Editors' note: In light of this week's blatant voter fraud perpetrated by the Left, we are reposting Bruce Hendry's March 9th article for FrontPage Mag below. This article was Part 4 of a longer essay by Bruce Hendry titled "Democrats, Progressives and Socialists." Links to the other parts can be found below this article.

Voter Fraud in Minnesota, and one can presume elsewhere, is practiced almost entirely by Democrats, who have waged a relentless campaign to block any attempt to block ineligible voters from voting, or eligible voters from voting more than once as “voter suppression.”

It’s actually technically incorrect to say that there is large voter fraud in Minnesota, because what you and I would consider voter fraud is in fact legal in Minnesota. The Democrats euphemistic phrase for voter fraud is “ineligible voting” but the manipulation of the voting system is still fraudulent and so it’s still voter fraud. Most voters of either party are totally unaware of what’s going on.

Voter fraud In Minnesota is practiced almost entirely by Democrats through a two-part process. First, they construct election laws that are designed to tolerate ineligible voting and, second, they don’t enforce even the weak constraints in those statutes. Most voters of either party are totally unaware of what’s going on.

Here is how it works.

Self-certification. In Minnesota, you are supposed to be prohibited from voting if you (1) have a court order stating that you are incompetent to vote, (2) are not a citizen, (3) are a felon on parole or probation, or (4) live outside the precinct.

In all cases, you can still vote in Minnesota by self-certifying to the election judge that you are eligible to vote. Nothing more is needed, just your statement. For instance, if the election judge knows that you are ineligible to vote because he personally knows that you just got out of prison and that you are on parole, you can still vote by self-certifying.  Even if the poll roster has a notation that the state has found you ineligible, you can vote. Just tell the election judge you want a ballot.

Despite no help from the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office, the Minnesota Voters Alliance painstakingly confirmed that 1,000 felons illegally voted in the 2008 senatorial election that Al Franken, a Democrat,  won by 312 votes.

In March 2018, the Office of the Legislative Auditor (OLA) released its review of Minnesota’s election system and revealed that more than 26,000 individuals whose status was marked “challenged” prior to the election voted in November 2016.

Same day registration. This is where the majority of voter fraud takes place. In Minnesota, 500,000 people typically register to vote on election-day in presidential election years. No verification of their eligibility is done prior to irretrievably counting their ballots. After the election, counties send a postcard to the address that the voter claimed on election-day. Following the 2008 election, the state couldn’t confirm the addresses of 17,000 voters and 31,000 other voters were marked “challenged” because they failed one or more eligibility checks. The ballots of all 48,000 of these questionable voters counted in the election Al Franken won by just 312 votes.

Social Security Number. There is no photo-ID requirement In Minnesota. In fact, if a person claims they do not have a driver’s license or other valid ID, they can register and vote simply by supplying their name, date-of-birth, and the last four digits of a Social Security Number. The Legislative Auditor found that thousands of voters registered in this manner in 2016 and could not subsequently be found in the Social Security Administration database.

Vouching. In Minnesota on election-day, a person can establish residence by having another voter “vouch” for his address. A voter may vouch for as many as eight other persons.

Most states have “provisional” ballots for same day voters and self- certified voters and then check out the legitimacy of the voter before the vote is counted. Minnesota counts all votes as valid, even if it’s later proven that an individual voted illegally. The illegal vote still counts in Minnesota. The Minnesota Secretary of State is in charge of elections, and that office has been in Democratic hands for 30 years. Provisional ballot legislation, which would fix this problem, always gets killed by Democrats in the legislature  or vetoed by a Democratic Governor.

Physical assistance in marking ballots. In Minnesota, any voter who claims a need for assistance because of inability to read English, can obtain help from anyone the voter chooses. Currently, no person may assist more than three people but Democrats are fighting in court right now to eliminate that restriction.

There are documented cases of exploitation of mentally challenged adults in healthcare facilities who were “assisted.” When caught, the manager of one residential home in Brainerd said that voting gave his residents a feeling of importance and was good for them. The mentally challenged son of a friend of mine was put on a bus and driven to a voting place where, he later said, he voted for George Washington.

Power plays. Over the last three years, Minneapolis and St. Paul have created ordinances that compel landlords to hand out voter registration applications and other materials to new tenants, without any regard to the tenants’ citizenship or legal status. Both cities have declared themselves to be “sanctuaries” for ineligible persons.

The good news here, though, is that the Federal District Court for Minnesota has just ruled in favor of the Minnesota Voters Alliance that both ordinances are unconstitutional because they violate the landlords’ First Amendment speech rights.

Coverup. For the last two years, the Minnesota Voters Alliance has been in a lawsuit against Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon to force him to release public data from the statewide voter registration database. Ramsey County District Court and the Minnesota Court of Appeals have both ordered Simon to release the data but he refuses to comply, instead appealing those judgments to the Minnesota Supreme Court which should issue its opinion soon. The data are needed to assess ineligible voting in Minnesota, and the performance of election officials in carrying out their constitutional duty to provide ballots only to eligible individuals.

It is especially pathetic that in light of all the evidence for potential and actual voter fraud in Minnesota, the Secretary of State has done exactly nothing to assess or report on any of it. And why should he, it is working well for him and his party.

Early voting. Democrats use taxpayer money and their authority to regulate to further their own elections. During 2018, the City of Minneapolis spent $1.2 million setting up two early voting stations in Somali neighborhoods that vote almost exclusively Democratic.  One consequence of these taxpayer funded early voting sites was the election of the controversial Ilhan Omar to the U.S House of Representatives. Democrats using taxpayer money, to further their own elections. Early voting is just another way that Democrats abuse the system.

Bottom line - Minnesota voter statistics

5,576,000 is the population estimate for 2017.

Of these 653,000 are under the legal voting age.

Thus 4,923,000 is the maximum number of eligible voters.

3,260,000 is the total on the current voter list at the Secretary of State.

In addition there 2,150,000 names on the inactive voter list at the Secretary of State.

Consequently 5,410,000 is the total number of voters according to Secretary of State.

If we deduct 4,923,000 which is the maximum number of voters.

We get 487,000 non-existent Minnesota voters.

This calculation doesn’t count people in prison or on parole who can’t vote, illegal aliens who vote, or court ordered incompetents who can’t legally vote.

These categories are small but important in close elections like the election that elected Al Franken senator by a few hundred votes.

Absentee Ballots There are expected to be nearly one million absentee ballots cast in the 2020 elections.  And, because of an illegal tule created by Steve Simon, Minnesota’s Secretary of State, all of the absentee ballot board members doing the accepting and rejecting of ballot envelopes are hand picked by the appointing authority and not taken from the lists submitted by the major political parties as the law requires. Thus, there is no party balance oversight of the absentee ballot process.

The Loophole.  Steve Simon The Secretary of State  is sending a letter to challenged voters - voters who voted illegally and may not vote again until the challenge is cleared up - that they can still vote as absentee voters.

It’s not rocket science to have a fair and honest election. 1. Have paper ballots; 2. Have a Democrat and Republican election judge at each polling place. 3. Have provisional ballots. Don’t count the vote if the voter is not legitimate. 4. Have photo I.D.’s. 5. Eliminate early voting.

6. Eliminate vouching, where one person “vouches” for the legitimacy of another without any other identification.

Democrats block all efforts, to establish these easy fixes to ensure a fair election. What we see here is a situation ripe for abuse and manipulation by Democrats. That is why Democrats win all close elections in Minnesota.

What most people would call voter fraud is actually legal in Minnesota elections. Self certification; abuses of same day registration and vouching are all legal under Minnesota law and explain how Democrats use the legal system to win elections.

In 2016, Trump lost Minnesota to Hillary Clinton by a mere 44,000 votes. It’s my opinion Trump would have won Minnesota had the election been fair. Trump will probably lose Minnesota again in 2020 because of the fraudulent Minnesota voting system.

Democrat Anti-Semitism Cost Them Florida and Georgia - Daniel Greenfield

 by Daniel Greenfield

Democrats expected Jewish voters to help them flip Georgia and Florida. Instead, Jewish voters flipped them off.

Before the election, Brandeis University’s Steinhardt Social Research Institute marked Georgia, along with Florida, as one of the states where the Jewish vote could help decide the election.

Georgia has 103,000 Jewish voters and Democrats had been counting on them to flip the state.

With a Senate election and special election, two Senate seats were up for grabs, and Democrats threw money at former Al Jazeera collaborator Ossoff and activist Warnock.

Jon Ossoff raised $32 million in the Senate election, outspending incumbent Senator Perdue by almost 50%, with much of the money coming from California. Over $50 million was spent on pro-Ossoff ads alone.

In the Senate special election, Democrats raised over $21 million for radical activist Raphael Warnock.

Warnock had signed on to a statement falsely accusing Israel of being an apartheid state, falsely describing Gaza, which is controlled by Hamas, as an “occupied” territory oppressed by Israel, and falsely claiming that “Jewish” people engage in “segregation”.

The letter signed by Warnock also ranted that, "Israeli fear... begets hatred" and demanded an end to weapons sales to Israel.

Warnock had defended Jeremiah Wright’s bigotry, but now said he disavowed antisemitism.

Despite Warnock’s hostility toward the Jewish State, he was backed by the Jewish Democratic Council of America over Matt Lieberman, Senator Joseph Lieberman's son.

Soros' Bend the Arc PAC aggressively supported Warnock as their man in Georgia.

“Raphael Warnock knows our Georgia Jewish community,” an ad by the anti-Israel group, founded by a former sex club dancer who had participated in anti-Israel protests, claimed.

The Jewish community of Georgia knew Warnock all right. And it spilled over to Biden.

The Associated Press exit poll showed that 48% of Georgia Jews voted for President Trump and 49% for Joe Biden: a near split. While Trump’s strong record on Israel and fighting antisemitism abroad and at home no doubt helped, it’s hard to dismiss the Warnock factor.

Georgia Democrats had backed a candidate who had ties to a notorious antisemitic figure and who had signed a letter accusing Israel of apartheid and segregation, and Trump took home half the Jewish vote. The situation isn’t likely to get any better as Warnock heads to a runoff.

In the other Senate race, Jon Ossoff tried to accuse his Republican opponent of antisemitism, claiming that an ad had given him a nose job, but Ossoff had collaborated with Al Jazeera, Qatar’s violently antisemitic propaganda network, which backs Hamas, had featured calls for another Holocaust, and which had been sued by former employees for antisemitism.

His mentor, Rep. Hank Johnson, had even compared Jews in Israel to termites.

Ossoff is unsurprisingly anti-Israel and was backed by big spending from J Street: the anti-Israel lobby group. He's also a supporter of the Iran nuclear sellout which funneled billions to the Islamic terror state and signed off on its nuclear program with no inspections on the ground.

Democrats had hoped to use Ossoff, who has Jewish ancestry, to mobilize Jewish voters, but the AP exit poll suggests that Ossoff was as helpful as Warnock.

In New York, Governor Cuomo and local Democrats had decided to use the final months before Election Day to scapegoat Orthodox Jews for their failure to manage the pandemic. These false accusations were bolstered by deeply dishonest media smears and discriminatory enforcement.

What was the response to this systemic antisemitism by the Democrat establishment?

In a number of majority Chassidic Jewish areas in Brooklyn, President Trump won between 80% to 90% of the vote. That’s not a new development. Republican presidential candidates usually walk away with the vast majority of the vote in Orthodox Jewish areas in New York.

In Rockland County, Trump won the majority of the vote even though registered Democrats outnumbered Republicans 2 to 1.

But no Republican can get to the White House through New York even if he’s a famous New Yorker. It’s a very different story in Florida where so many former New Yorkers ended up.

Florida has the largest Jewish population of any swing state and it has one of the largest Jewish communities of any state. And while there are plenty of Jewish conservatives in Florida, the Jewish vote out of Florida tends to favor the usual Democrat hacks. But not this time.

The Associated Press exit poll showed that 43% of Jewish voters had backed President Trump.

A J Street poll had claimed that Jews would go for Biden by 73% over Trump. Like everything the anti-Israel and pro-terrorist group founded by Soros money claims, it wasn't true.

As Jonathan Tobin at JNS notes, "Trump got about at least somewhere in the vicinity of 150,000 Jewish votes. In a competitive state where he wound up winning by only 377,000 votes.”

Before running for office, President Trump had almost as sizable a presence in New York as he did in Florida, and local Jews have stories of him opening up Mar-a-Lago to Jews and making its kitchens Kosher at a time when most private clubs on the island continued to bar Jews.

“No one called Mar-a-Lago a Jewish club, but especially in the early years, that’s what it was,” an otherwise negative Vanity Fair article noted.

And again there’s no question that President Trump’s pro-Israel policies were a game changer.

But the antisemitic incident that dominated local Jewish news in Florida this year didn't happen at a private club in Palm Beach, but in a high school.

William Latson, a high school principal, had responded to an email from a parent asking about Holocaust education by arguing, “Not everyone believes the Holocaust happened.”

In its own October surprise, the Palm Beach County School Board voted to rehire the Holocaust denying principal and pay him six figures in back pay.

Racial tensions were stirred by the vote because Latson is black and of the four board members that initially voted to rehire him, two, Marcia Andrews and Debra Robinson, were black, and, more significantly, all four, had close connections to Democrat and leftist organizations.

Robinson had been endorsed by SEIU, NOW, the AFL-CIO, and the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council Voters Alliance. Marcia Andrews had been backed by SEIU, Barbara McQuinn and Chuck Shaw were backed by the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council Voters Alliance.

Shaw, a former Democrat official, had blamed the scandal on reporters who "took over this entire conversation before the superintendent had an opportunity to even begin to address this.”

After the public outcry, the board voted again, and rescinded the move, perhaps realizing that the last thing Democrats needed right before an election was an antisemitism scandal.

But by then it was too late.

There’s no way to know what impact the scandal had on the Florida Jewish vote, but the spectacle of Democrats signing off on Holocaust denial could hardly have helped.

While the media trumpets national polls that claim that the vast majority of Jews voted for Biden, the AP’s own exit polls in Florida and Georgia raise serious questions about those claims. And the state of the Jewish electorate in swing states is far more significant than national polls.

What happened in Georgia, Florida, and parts of New York shows significant fractures between the Democrat organizations trying to control the Jewish vote and Jewish voters in key areas.

President Trump’s ability to win over around 1 in 2 Jewish voters in Georgia and Florida is a warning that Democrat antisemitism carries a price, and that throwing money at astroturf groups like J Street and Bend the Arc that don’t represent Jews and never will, is not the answer.

If anything it only makes things worse.

Covering up antisemitism with Democrat candidates that have Jewish last names and a hatred for the Jewish state, with radical politicians who attack Jews and then expect astroturf lefty groups to bring in the Jewish vote, isn’t working anymore. Neither is peppering ads with, “Oy”, “Schlepp”, and “Gevalt” in a condescending minstrel show effort to relate to Jews.

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida had famously replied, “abortion”, when asked why Jewish voters should cast their votes for Obama.

That’s not going to cut it anymore. Neither are videos by Sarah Silverman and Seth Rogen.

Democrats expected Jewish voters to help them flip Georgia and Florida. Instead, Jewish voters flipped them off and voted for President Trump.

If Democrats can’t rein in their antisemitism, next time they may not split the Jewish vote in Florida.

They could lose it outright.

Muslims: Al-Aqsa Mosque Does Not Belong to Palestinians - Khaled Abu Toameh

 by Khaled Abu Toameh

"We will visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque because it does not belong to you, it belongs to all Muslims." — Laila Al-Awadhi, Emirati political activist.

  • These Gulf Muslims are also demanding an end to the Palestinian "monopoly" over the Islamic holy site in Jerusalem."

  • "We will visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque because it does not belong to you, it belongs to all Muslims." — Laila Al-Awadhi, Emirati political activist.

  • "How wrong we were when we thought that Israel was preventing Muslims from visiting the Al-Aqsa Mosque." — Ali Al-Aslami, Emirati social media user, Twitter, October 19, 2020.

  • The furious response of these Muslims to the Palestinian assault on the Emirati delegation is yet another sign of the deepening crisis between the Palestinians and the Arab world, particularly the Gulf states.... Yet, once again, the Palestinians have opted for hating Israel and any Arab who seeks peace with it over improving their basic living conditions.

As far as the Palestinians are concerned, a Muslim who believes in Israel's right to exist is not entitled to enter the Temple Mount or pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's ruling Fatah faction is spearheading a campaign to prevent Muslims from the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain from visiting the Temple Mount. Pictured: Palestinians burn a portrait of UAE Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Zayed on August 14, 2020 at the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, Israel. (Photo by AFP via Getty Images)

In the past few years, the Palestinians have regularly condemned Jews for visiting the Temple Mount/Haram Al-Sharif (Noble Sanctuary) in Jerusalem. The Palestinians depict the visits by Jews as "incursions" and claim that the visitors "defile" the Al-Aqsa Mosque when they enter the compound.

The Jewish visitors, however, do not set foot inside the mosque; they only tour the outdoor compound under the protection of the Israeli police. It is also worth mentioning that Palestinians often hurl insults at the Jewish visitors and try to physically assault them.

The Temple Mount is the holiest site in Judaism and the place toward which Jews turn during prayer. Among Sunni Muslims, the Temple Mount is considered the third holiest site in Islam.

The Palestinians are now saying that they are opposed not only to Jews visiting the holy site, but also to Muslims who believe in peace with Israel.

As far as the Palestinians are concerned, a Muslim who believes in Israel's right to exist is not entitled to enter the Temple Mount or pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Why? In the world of the Palestinians, a Muslim or Arab who makes peace with Israel is a "traitor" who does not deserve to enter the compound. Although the site is sacred to all Muslims, the Palestinians have somehow convinced themselves that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is their private property and that they have the right to prevent other Muslims from praying there.

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's ruling Fatah faction is currently spearheading a campaign to prevent Muslims from the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain -- the two gulf states that recently signed peace agreements with Israel -- from visiting the Temple Mount.

The PA mufti in Jerusalem, Sheikh Mohammed Hussein, was the first to ban Muslims who believe in normalization with Israel from visiting the site. Hussein announced that Muslims who want to pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque are welcome as long as they do not come through Israel.

He added that praying at the mosque is not permitted for Muslims who establish relations with Israel. In addition, he said, Palestinians are prohibited from receiving or dealing with any Muslim who believes in normalization with Israel.

Another senior Palestinian Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ekremah Sabri, said that the visits of Muslims who believe in peace with Israel to the holy site "are not less dangerous than the [Jewish] settlers' storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque."

Sabri pointed out that recent visits by UAE Muslims to the Temple Mount and Jerusalem "are a clear result of the crime of normalization" with Israel. He added: "It is shameful for those delegations to come under Israeli protection."

Monir al-Jaghoub, a senior Fatah official, warned that Palestinians would throw an "old shoe in the faces" of Muslims who enter Jerusalem under Israeli protection.

This is one of the few issues that Fatah seems to agree on with its rivals in the Palestinian Islamist movement, Hamas.

"This condemned visit is a disregard for the feelings of the peoples of our Arab and Islamic nation, and an encouragement for the Zionist occupation to make more and more continuous incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque," Abdel-Latif Al-Qanou, a spokesman for Hamas, told Anadolu Agency. "The entry of a Gulf delegation to the Al-Aqsa Mosque under Israeli protection is a stab in the back of our Palestinian people."

Those threats are the reason why Palestinians insulted and expelled an Emirati delegation that visited the Al-Aqsa Mosque on October 19. Were it not for the presence of Israeli policemen and security guards, the visit would have ended in an ugly manner with violence or bloodshed.

The threats and abuse by the Palestinians have drawn sharp criticism from several Muslims, especially those living in the Gulf states. These Muslims, offended and humiliated by the Palestinians' rhetoric and provocations, have retorted by condemning the Palestinian "thugs" who harass and insult Muslim worshippers during their visit to the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

These Gulf Muslims are also demanding an end to the Palestinian "monopoly" over the Islamic holy site in Jerusalem. They are saying in effect: "The Al-Aqsa Mosque belongs to all Muslims, and not only the Palestinians." Others have gone as far as calling for "liberating" the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the hands of Palestinian "thugs."

Saudi journalist and author Abdel Rahman Al-Lahim:

"It is very important for the Emiratis and Bahrainis to discuss with Israel ways of liberating the Al-Aqsa Mosque from Palestinian thugs in order to protect visitors from Palestinian thuggery."

Al-Lahim wrote defiantly on Twitter:

"I will continue, with the help of God, to expose Palestinian thugs and confront them to protect the Al-Aqsa Mosque from these bastards. We will remind the world of their (the Palestinians') terrorist crimes in Jordan and Lebanon."

Commenting on the humiliation of the members of the UAE delegation during their visit to Jerusalem, Saudi writer and media personality Abdullah Al-Bander accused the Palestinians of ingratitude toward Arab countries that supported the Palestinians. The Palestinians, he noted, "insulted and cursed Muslims inside a mosque. The UAE is one of the largest countries, after Saudi Arabia, that supported the Palestinian people in providing aid to the United Nations Relief and Work Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA)."

Saudi political analyst Sattam Al-Harthi denounced the Palestinians' abusive response to the visit of the Emirati delegation. He "expected," he said, "the Palestinians to greet their Arab brothers with flowers and open their homes to them."

Emirati political activist Laila Al-Awadhi asked: "Are these the Palestinian ethics of hospitality? Is it one of the fundamentals of religion to insult the mosque? Are these the morals of the Arabs?" Addressing the Palestinians, she added: "We will visit the Al-Aqsa Mosque because it does not belong to you, it belongs to all Muslims."

Emirati writer Yaqoub Al-Rayss accused Hamas "mercenaries" of being behind the assault on the Muslims who visited the mosque in Jerusalem. "Here you see that the story is not about religion and ethics much as it is a malevolent Muslim Brotherhood ideology," he remarked. (Hamas is an offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood.)

Ali Al-Aslami, an Emirati social media user, replied to Al-Rayss: "How wrong we were when we thought that Israel was preventing Muslims from visiting the Al-Aqsa Mosque."

Ahmed Nasir, in an article published in the weekly UAE newspaper Al-Ain, accused Qatar, Turkey and the Palestinians of hypocrisy and "trafficking" in the Palestinian issue. Nasir pointed out that the visit of the Emirati delegation to the Al-Aqsa Mosque "came as one of the fruits of the peace treaty signed by the UAE and Israel on September 15, and as an Emirati message to the Palestinians and that the treaty supports their issue."

Qatar and Turkey, Nasir added, "tried to disrupt the visit, distort its objectives and attack it as part of a despicable scheme to thwart and distort the UAE's peace efforts." He pointed out that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and a Qatari minister visited the mosque in the past but were not insulted by the Palestinians.

"The traffickers in the Palestinian issue are inciting against the UAE only because it has begun to search for practical solutions that contribute to the spread of security and stability, and the restoration of legitimate Palestinian rights," Nasir argued.

The furious response of these Muslims to the Palestinian assault on the Emirati delegation is yet another sign of the deepening crisis between the Palestinians and the Arab world, particularly the Gulf states. It is obvious that the arrival of tourists to Jerusalem boosts the economy at a time when the city is facing economic hardship due to coronavirus restrictions. Yet, once again, the Palestinians have opted for hating Israel and any Arab who seeks peace with it over improving their basic living conditions.

There is an additional aspect to the angry reaction of these Muslim and Arab writers: some Muslims feel safer visiting a mosque under Israeli protection than without it. Israeli policemen have protected Muslims who were visiting a mosque from being attacked by other Muslims -- for supposedly promoting normalization with Israel. No wonder, then, that Gulf Muslims are now demanding an end to the exclusive control Palestinians that wield over the third-holiest site in Islam.

The Real Netanyahu (and Trump) Dilemma - Caroline Glick

 by Caroline Glick

Blatant voting irregularities have occurred!!

On Wednesday, supporters of President Donald Trump gathered outside ballot counting centers in Arizona and Michigan to demand a clean and honest vote count. An MSNBC reporter in Arizona filmed the protesters in Maricopa Country where 400,000 ballots were being counted. Standing behind the protesters, the reporter tried to paint the crowd as violent and dangerous even as they kneeled in silent prayer for election integrity.

It was a hard sell, but other reporters quickly got in on the action and videos appeared throughout the day of reporters describing the swelling crowd chanting “Count the Vote” as violent. There may be an innocent explanation for the obvious misinformation. Perhaps the men and women with the mics simply don’t know the meaning of the word “violent.” After all, for the past seven months, they have been describing riots replete with broken windows, burning tires and looted stores as “peaceful protests.”

The urge Trump voters feel to protest the vote count is easy to understand. The widespread fear that the Democrats are working to falsify the US presidential election results grows with each news update about another 369,000 ballots suddenly appearing in Philadelphia or 10,000 votes in Nevada cast by people who don’t live in Nevada.

On Wednesday afternoon, Trump supporters at a ballot counting facility in Detroit were stunned as a poll worker used cardboard boards to block Republican poll watchers from watching the vote count.

Republican fears bubbled over Wednesday morning.

Tuesday night, Trump was leading Biden by comfortable margins in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina. And suddenly, election officials in Detroit, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Atlanta – Democrat-run cities in states where Trump was leading – announced they were stopping the vote count.

According to a report in The Federalist, based on information published by election officials in Michigan and Wisconsin, while the vote-counting had officially been suspended, strange things were happening.

In the wee hours of the night in Michigan, 138,339 mail-in ballots were counted. Biden won every single one of them. Hours after the stunning, vertical rise in Biden’s numbers was reported, (and after Twitter censored Republicans, including President Trump who demanded an explanation), Michigan election officials claimed the numbers were a “data error.” A glitchy vote-counting software accidentally added a zero – that is, 100,000 votes — to Biden’s tally. The same glitchy software accidentally forgot to enter the votes that Trump won. Oops.

In Wisconsin, Biden got a similar 120,000 vote boost during the night and when Republicans woke up on Wednesday morning, Trump’s 4.7% lead had all but disappeared. Trump got none of the votes.

Trump’s campaign filed lawsuits in Michigan and Wisconsin regarding the apparent irregularities. The campaign also filed suit against Nevada’s Board of Elections for allegedly counting 10,000 votes cast by non-residents. The campaign is exercising its right to order a recount of the ballots in Wisconsin after Biden was declared the winner with a less than one percent margin.

There are also multiplying claims of improprieties in vote-counting in Philadelphia. On Wednesday, Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani came to Philadelphia to file a lawsuit after Republican poll watchers were barred from observing election officials count 120,000 ballots. A court order to permit the Republicans to observe the vote-counting was ignored by election officials and Democrats appealed the ruling.

The Democrats’ response to all of the Trump campaign’s claims is to accuse Trump and his supporters of trying to suppress the vote.

Most of the alleged irregularities have to do with mail-in ballots. This is no surprise. Trump and the Republicans warned from the outset of the Democrats’ mail-in ballot campaign that the purpose of the move was not to minimize the spread of the coronavirus. Standing in line to vote is no riskier than standing in line at a grocery store. The goal of mail-in balloting is to tamper with the vote, they said.

AS PRESIDENT TRUMP said in his remarks Thursday evening, it may take time for the legal challenges to work their way through the courts and determine definitively who will be inaugurated on January 20. But we can already see that whoever wins, America’s democratic order is steeped in crisis. The Democrats’ post-election shenanigans are an expression of this crisis.

To be clear, Trump did not cause the crisis. It has two authors: The Democrats and the media.

The Democrats’ fomented the crisis, which places America’s very future as a constitutional democracy on the line when they refused to accept the results of the 2016 election. The media caused it by abandoning journalism in favor of political activism.

Perhaps the most emblematic image of the 2020 elections came in the days leading up to Election Day. Footage surfaced of business owners in big cities throughout the country boarding up their windows to protect their property from the riots they expected to break out once the voting stations closed.

The media’s treatment of the footage exposed their pathology. The business owners expectation of political violence received little coverage. And to the extent the footage was mentioned at all, the mention was as laconic as the weather report: Tomorrow will be partly cloudy, violent riots forecast for downtown beginning at nightfall, and scattered thundershowers are expected around 10 p.m. in the northwest suburbs.

Newspapers and television networks didn’t ask the shop keepers from whom they were protecting their property.

But then, they didn’t need to ask. Everyone knew who the rioters were. Although the media and the Democrats have spent four years insisting that Trump supporters are violent, dangerous racists and Nazis, the merchants in Kenosha and Los Angeles didn’t post Trump election signs in their storefronts to win brownie points from the rioters. They posted signs of support for the looters. And they all hailed from Black Lives Matter, Antifa and allied Democrat voting groups.

Trump’s supporters standing outside vote-counting centers in Philadelphia, Maricopa County and Detroit didn’t plan to protest after the election. Conservative activists only began organizing protests after Biden’s vote tallies magically rose vertically on Wednesday morning.

In notable contrast, Biden’s supporters in Black Lives Matter and allied groups started posting detailed instructions to their supporters about where to gather and where to protest a week before Election Day. And when late Tuesday night, the riots began on schedule in Washington, New York, Portland and Los Angeles, they weren’t kneeling in prayer.

According to the New York Post, a “protester” in Portland was arrested Wednesday carrying hand grenades and a loaded AR-15 assault rifle. “Protesters” in New York were arrested carrying commercial military-grade firecrackers, a taser, knives, and hammers.

Black Lives Matter rioters in Washington reportedly stabbed five Trump supporters close to the White House early Wednesday morning.

Political violence, like ballot harvesting, is a feature of the Democrats’ post-democratic political playbook. And here it is important to remember how things transpired in real-time.

During the 2016 election, Hillary Clinton, her campaign and the media presented Trump and his supporters as illegitimate political actors. Clinton notoriously referred to them as “deplorables.” When Trump won the race, the Democrats’ delegitimization of Trump and his supporters led them to forego simply opposing Trump’s presidency and his actions and policies in favor of rejecting the legitimacy of both his presidency and of the democratic process that enables “deplorables” to choose a president that the Democrats don’t support. The weren’t leading an opposition. They were waging an insurrection.

In other words, Clinton’s delegitimization of Trump and his voters morphed into a rejection of the rules of American democracy. All Democrat efforts to oust Trump from office and to block his ability to govern since, like the political violence the Democrats have employed with greater intensity in the intervening years, are a function of that move.

The Democrats revealed their new post-democratic character and totalitarian bent on inauguration day. When the millions of Democrats came out to protest the peaceful transfer of power, they called themselves “the Resistance.” They weren’t opposing Trump. They were resisting an illegitimate regime. And to take down the regime – that is, the US government – all means were justified.

The media have been a full partner in the Democrats’ efforts to overturn America’s constitutional order in favor of one that denies their opponents (or “enemies”) the ability to lead the country. In 2008, the US media replaced its traditional pro-Democrat bias with full mobilization when Barack Obama entered the presidential race. The media writ large presented Obama as a man without blemish. His domestic and foreign policies were deemed ingenious, completely successful and kind-hearted and never subjected to serious scrutiny. Obama’s personal and policy failings were airbrushed out of the storyline.

Obama’s opponents were demonized as corrupt and evil foreign agents and avaricious “moneymen.”

Biden has similarly enjoyed entirely positive coverage in the media. Together with Twitter and Facebook, the networks and major newspapers have censored, rather than reported information that could in any way undermine support for Biden.

From the moment Trump rode down the escalator of Trump Towers, he received the exact opposite treatment. If Obama was a messianic figure and Biden a kindly grandpa, Trump was the devil incarnate. The media’s abuse of Trump has known no bounds. The legacy newspapers and television networks competed over who could report more Trump-Russia lies.

Trump’s dizzying array of accomplishments in office, at home and abroad were deliberately ignored or downplayed all day, every day for the past four years.

Media executives, editors, anchors and reporters made clear the moment Trump was elected that their only goal, and the only legitimate goal was to oust him from office.

It’s impossible to know how things will develop in America in the coming weeks. But it is hard to see a rainbow over the horizon. If Trump is declared the winner, the Democrats won’t accept the legitimacy of the verdict. Their use of political violence will undoubtedly rise.

And if Biden is declared the winner, the Democrats will not rest on their laurels. Having already adopted the totalitarian mindset, they will insist their newfound power be used to advance their post-democratic program. Indeed, they already are.

MSNBC commentator Jason Johnson said Wednesday that there must be no peace for Republicans in a Biden presidency.

Johnson warned Biden that he mustn’t even think about magnanimity in victory. He is “at war.”

In Johnson’s words, “You cannot come into this White House with the idea that these people [Trump supporters] aren’t the enemy. They are. They are the enemies of democracy.”

As for Trump’s supporters, after being called “chumps” by Biden, after watching the Democrat-run vote counts and Big Tech’s censorship of President Trump, Trump’s supporters will not trust the integrity of the process that brought Biden to the White House. And it is hard to imagine them taking it silently.

Standing outside the Philadelphia courthouse Wednesday, Giuliani addressed both the media and Trump’s supporters. Looking at the reporters, said, “Do you think we’re stupid? You think we are fools?”

Turning to Trump’s supporters, Giuliani added, “Do you know something? The Democrats do think you’re stupid, they do think you’re fools, and that’s why you get called deplorable chumps. That’s over.”

ErdoÄŸan's Jihad on "Infidel Europe" - Burak Bekdil

 by Burak Bekdil

Although Ankara and Baku categorically deny accusations, press reports and independent human rights observers have confirmed the arrival of hundreds of jihadists in Azerbaijan to fight Armenia.

  • Middle Eastern politics is always a trap for radical ideologues. In ErdoÄŸan's mindset the "infidel West" is militarily helping Armenia (the evil) and Turkey is militarily helping Azerbaijan (the righteous).

  • Although Ankara and Baku categorically deny accusations, press reports and independent human rights observers have confirmed the arrival of hundreds of jihadists in Azerbaijan to fight Armenia.

  • After the Turkish military's direct armed engagement on Iraqi and Syrian territories, proxy wars in Syria, Libya and Yemen, military tensions on the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, ErdoÄŸan's new jihadist adventurism has found a new theater of war in the Caucasus. What's next?

In the mindset of Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan, the "infidel West" is militarily helping Armenia (the evil) and Turkey is militarily helping Azerbaijan (the righteous). Pictured: The flags of Azerbaijan and Turkey, and portraits of ErdoÄŸan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, hang on the mayoral building of Ankara, Turkey on October 21, 2020. The jihad against Europe by Turkish President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan is probably based on both ideology and opportunism. Fierce anti-Western rhetoric is an ideological sine qua non for Turkish political Islam; it is also a secure vote-catcher targeting conservative and nationalist masses.

ErdoÄŸan's jihadism is not seasonal or a newfound system of political ideas. It is also not a reflection of peaceful sufism. ErdoÄŸan comes from the ranks of Turkey's militant political Islamism that emerged in late 1960s under the leadership of the ideologue, Necmettin Erbakan, Turkey's first Islamist prime minister and ErdoÄŸan's mentor. In Erbakan's rhetoric universal politics is simply about a struggle between the righteous (Islam) and a coalition of Zionists and racist imperialists -- all else is just details. In his thinking, the Zionists support Turkey's membership in the European Union in order to "get Turkish Muslims to melt in a pot of Christianity."

In a 2016 speech, ErdoÄŸan talked of European countries: "These are not just our enemies... Behind them are plans and plots and other powers." Also in 2016, he said that jihad is never terrorism. "It is resurrection.... It is to give life, to build... It is to fight the enemies of Islam." In 2017, ErdoÄŸan added that the German government's actions resembled those of Nazi Germany.

Last month, the Gaza-based leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), Dawood Shihab, said that Turkey was the bravest Muslim country to fight French President Emmanuel Macron's hostility toward Muslims. Turks thought flattering words from PIJ were not enough crucify an infidel disguised as the president of a big European nation.

Erdoğan had to take the stage. Venue: A party convention in the heart of Anatolia. Décor: Huge posters of Erdoğan and Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev. Two more photographs: Azeri landscape and the Al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem. Slogan: "Karabakh and Al-Aqsa mosque [in Jerusalem] are waiting for us!" [Nagorno-Karabakh is a disputed territory under Armenian occupation since the 1990s.]

The sultan speaks: "What is Macron's problem with Islam? What is his problem with Muslims? Macron needs some sort of mental treatment." ErdoÄŸan apparently thinks that Macron has gone clinically insane because the French president vowed to crack down on radical Islamism in France, after the country was shaken by the beheading of history teacher Samuel Paty on October 16.

ErdoÄŸan also accused the West of supplying arms to one of the warring parties only, Armenia, in the most recent military conflict between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Nevertheless, a bit hypocritically, ErdoÄŸan is also proud that Turkey has been equipping the Azeri military with drones, various other weapons systems and training.

Middle Eastern politics is always a trap for radical ideologues. In ErdoÄŸan's mindset, the "infidel West" is militarily helping Armenia (the evil) and Turkey is militarily helping Azerbaijan (the righteous). Fine. What other nation is militarily helping Azerbaijan? A nation on the side of the righteous? Israel, a country ErdoÄŸan deeply hates.

In 2016, Azeri President Aliyev said that his country acquired military equipment worth $4.85 billion from the Jewish state. An Azeri presidential advisor has said that Azerbaijan, in Nagorno-Karabakh, was using Israeli-made drones, including so-called "suicide drones" that can destroy a target on impact. So, Turkey and Israel are equipping the same military which is in an armed conflict with another.

That unwanted coincidence, however, will not deter ErdoÄŸan's jihadist ambitions. From a report in late October:

"Western intelligence agencies have revealed that Hamas' leadership has been operating a second clandestine office in Istanbul for cyber operations and counter-espionage against its enemies, including the Palestinian Authority and Hamas dissenters...

"The Hamas headquarters were established approximately two years ago in order to purchase equipment that can be used to manufacture weapons, to implement cyber-attacks against enemies, including embassies of hostile Arab states such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in the Middle East and Europe, and even against the Palestinian Authority in Gaza, as well as for surveillance and cracking down on dissenting members within its own ranks."

Turkey's latest jihadist export zone appears to be the Caucasus: Nagorno-Karabakh, to be specific. Although Ankara and Baku categorically deny accusations, press reports and independent human rights observers have confirmed the arrival of hundreds of jihadists in Azerbaijan to fight Armenia. Hydrocarbon-rich Azerbaijan could surely afford thousands of fighters, not just hundreds. But that could also mean angering Moscow which, as Azeris know very well, will not do any good to their infant state.

After the Turkish military's direct armed engagement on Iraqi and Syrian territories, proxy wars in Syria, Libya and Yemen, and military tensions on the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, ErdoÄŸan's new jihadist adventurism has found a new theater of war in the Caucasus. What's next?

Cameroon: 60 schools shut down after wave of jihad suicide bombings by women and children - Christine Douglass-Williams

 by Christine Douglass-Williams

The mainstream media is eager to report the rare attacks on Muslims, and they should be reported, but they ignore the Muslim genocide of Christians in Africa.

Boko Haram jihadis have been brutal in their attempts to establish an Islamic caliphate “across northern Nigeria all the way to northern Cameroon,” which is a mainly Christian country.

The jihadi efforts have now caused the closure of “more than 60 schools on the northern border with Nigeria to protect children and teaching staff from continuing suicide bomb attacks by Boko Haram.” Children are fair game for jihadis.

The mainstream media is eager to report the rare attacks on Muslims, and they should be reported, but they ignore the Muslim genocide of Christians in Africa. Even more appalling is the fact that many Church organizations do the same.

“Cameroon closes schools after wave of Boko Haram suicide bombings by women and children”, Barnabas Fund, October 29, 2020:

Authorities in Cameroon have closed more than 60 schools on the northern border with Nigeria to protect children and teaching staff from continuing suicide bomb attacks by Boko Haram.

The Islamist militants have been carrying out at least three attacks a week since January, according to the Cameroon military. Most are perpetrated by suicide bombers, mainly women and children. In the last two months, 13 schools were torched, 200 people were held to ransom and an unknown number of civilians abducted, the military reported.

A local education official said 62 schools have been closed and 34,054 students internally displaced because of the violence. “The children have to be either scholarised [educated] in other schools very far from their own villages or to abandon schools,” he explained.

Colonel Ndikum Azeh, commander of Cameroonian troops fighting Boko Haram in the Mayo Sava, Mayo Tsanaga and Logone and Chari administrative units that border Nigeria’s Borno State, said the military had been deployed to protect civilians in the area. Some troops have also been teaching the displaced students.

NGOs and humanitarian groups have called on Boko Haram to respect the Safe Schools Declaration, an inter-governmental commitment to protect students and ensure they are able to obtain an education.

Boko Haram militias are attempting to establish an Islamic caliphate across northern Nigeria all the way to northern Cameroon. Most of Cameroons Muslims, comprising around 20% of the population, live in the Far North region of this predominantly Christian country….

Macron: We are fighting against ‘hatred shared in the name of a distorted Islam…never against Islam’ - Robert Spencer

 by Robert Spencer

[Macron] will thread the needle between the “distorted Islam” and the true, peaceful Islam, and we will all march arm-in-arm into the glorious multicultural future. Won’t we?

“I will not allow anybody to claim that France, or its government, is fostering racism against Muslims.”

Great. But can you please enlighten us as to what race Muslims are? I had the silly idea that Muslims, and jihadis, were of all races.

Here is more about that supposedly distorted Islam, courtesy of the authoritative sources in Sunni Islam, the schools of Sunni jurisprudence (madhahib):

Shafi’i school: A Shafi’i manual of Islamic law that was certified in 1991 by the clerics at Al-Azhar University, one of the leading authorities in the Islamic world, as a reliable guide to Sunni orthodoxy, stipulates about jihad that “the caliph makes war upon Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians…until they become Muslim or pay the non-Muslim poll tax.” It adds a comment by Sheikh Nuh Ali Salman, a Jordanian expert on Islamic jurisprudence: the caliph wages this war only “provided that he has first invited [Jews, Christians, and Zoroastrians] to enter Islam in faith and practice, and if they will not, then invited them to enter the social order of Islam by paying the non-Muslim poll tax (jizya)…while remaining in their ancestral religions.” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o9.8).

Of course, there is no caliph today, and hence the oft-repeated claim that Osama et al are waging jihad illegitimately, as no state authority has authorized their jihad. But they explain their actions in terms of defensive jihad, which needs no state authority to call it, and becomes “obligatory for everyone” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o9.3) if a Muslim land is attacked. The end of the defensive jihad, however, is not peaceful coexistence with non-Muslims as equals: ‘Umdat al-Salik specifies that the warfare against non-Muslims must continue until “the final descent of Jesus.” After that, “nothing but Islam will be accepted from them, for taking the poll tax is only effective until Jesus’ descent” (o9.8).

Hanafi school: A Hanafi manual of Islamic law repeats the same injunctions. It insists that people must be called to embrace Islam before being fought, “because the Prophet so instructed his commanders, directing them to call the infidels to the faith.” It emphasizes that jihad must not be waged for economic gain, but solely for religious reasons: from the call to Islam “the people will hence perceive that they are attacked for the sake of religion, and not for the sake of taking their property, or making slaves of their children, and on this consideration it is possible that they may be induced to agree to the call, in order to save themselves from the troubles of war.”

However, “if the infidels, upon receiving the call, neither consent to it nor agree to pay capitation tax [jizya], it is then incumbent on the Muslims to call upon God for assistance, and to make war upon them, because God is the assistant of those who serve Him, and the destroyer of His enemies, the infidels, and it is necessary to implore His aid upon every occasion; the Prophet, moreover, commands us so to do.” (Al-Hidayah, II.140)

Maliki school: Ibn Khaldun (1332-1406), a pioneering historian and philosopher, was also a Maliki legal theorist. In his renowned Muqaddimah, the first work of historical theory, he notes that “in the Muslim community, the holy war is a religious duty, because of the universalism of the Muslim mission and (the obligation to) convert everybody to Islam either by persuasion or by force.” In Islam, the person in charge of religious affairs is concerned with “power politics,” because Islam is “under obligation to gain power over other nations.”

Hanbali school: The great medieval theorist of what is commonly known today as radical or fundamentalist Islam, Ibn Taymiyya (Taqi al-Din Ahmad Ibn Taymiyya, 1263-1328), was a Hanbali jurist. He directed that “since lawful warfare is essentially jihad and since its aim is that the religion is God’s entirely and God’s word is uppermost, therefore according to all Muslims, those who stand in the way of this aim must be fought.”

This is also taught by modern-day scholars of Islam. Majid Khadduri was an Iraqi scholar of Islamic law of international renown. In his book War and Peace in the Law of Islam, which was published in 1955 and remains one of the most lucid and illuminating works on the subject, Khadduri says this about jihad: “The state which is regarded as the instrument for universalizing a certain religion must perforce be an ever expanding state. The Islamic state, whose principal function was to put God’s law into practice, sought to establish Islam as the dominant reigning ideology over the entire world….The jihad was therefore employed as an instrument for both the universalization of religion and the establishment of an imperial world state.” (P. 51)

Imran Ahsan Khan Nyazee, Assistant Professor on the Faculty of Shari’ah and Law of the International Islamic University in Islamabad. In his 1994 book The Methodology of Ijtihad, he quotes the twelfth century Maliki jurist Ibn Rushd: “Muslim jurists agreed that the purpose of fighting with the People of the Book…is one of two things: it is either their conversion to Islam or the payment of jizyah.” Nyazee concludes: “This leaves no doubt that the primary goal of the Muslim community, in the eyes of its jurists, is to spread the word of Allah through jihad, and the option of poll-tax [jizya] is to be exercised only after subjugation” of non-Muslims.

All these and many, many others got Islam wrong. Emmanuel Macron has it right. Trust Emmanuel Macron. He will thread the needle between the “distorted Islam” and the true, peaceful Islam, and we will all march arm-in-arm into the glorious multicultural future. Won’t we?

“Letter: France is against ‘Islamist separatism’ — never Islam,” by Emmanuel Macron, Financial Times, November 4, 2020:

For its readers, and I am one, being informed by the Financial Times means being certain of accessing robust facts, rich analysis and reliable information, without needing to verify its veracity. Therefore, who could imagine that the statements made publicly by the head of a G7 member state could be distorted by this news organisation?

And yet, that is what happened in a column published online yesterday. The piece misquoted me, substituting “Islamic separatism” — a term that I have never used — for “Islamist separatism”, which is a reality in my country. It accused me of stigmatising French Muslims for electoral purposes and of fostering a climate of fear and suspicion towards them….

For over five years now, and since the attacks on Charlie Hebdo, France has faced a wave of attacks perpetrated by terrorists in the name of an Islam that they have distorted. Some 263 people — police officers, soldiers, teachers, journalists, cartoonists, ordinary citizens — have been assassinated in our homeland. Most recently, an attack that fortunately did not result in any casualties once again targeted the premises of Charlie Hebdo; a history and geography teacher, Samuel Paty, was decapitated; in Nice, two women and a man were assassinated in a church….

France has been attacked by Islamist terrorists because it embodies freedom of expression, the right to believe or not to believe and a certain way of life. The French people have risen up to say that they will not surrender any of France’s values, its identity, or its imagination. Nor any of these human rights that it proclaimed for the world, back in 1789….

But since 2015 it has become clear, and I said this even before I became president, that there are breeding grounds for terrorists in France. In certain districts and on the internet, groups linked to radical Islam are teaching hatred of the republic to our children, calling on them to disregard its laws. That is what I called “separatism” in one of my speeches.

If you do not believe me, read the social media postings of hatred shared in the name of a distorted Islam that resulted in Paty’s death. Visit the districts where small girls aged three or four are wearing a full veil, separated from boys, and, from a very young age, separated from the rest of society, raised in hatred of France’s values.

Speak to government prefects who are confronted on the ground with hundreds of radicalised individuals, who we fear may, at any moment, take a knife and kill people. This is what France is fighting against — designs of hatred and death that threaten its children — never against Islam. We oppose deception, fanaticism, violent extremism. Not a religion….

I will not allow anybody to claim that France, or its government, is fostering racism against Muslims. France — we are attacked for this — is as secular for Muslims as for Christians, Jews, Buddhists and all believers. The neutrality of the state, which never intervenes in religious affairs, is a guarantee of freedom of worship. Our law enforcement forces protect mosques, churches and synagogues alike.

France is a country that knows what it owes to the Islamic civilisation: its mathematics, its science, its architecture all borrow from it, and I announced the creation of an institute in Paris to showcase this great wealth. France is a country where Muslim leaders speak out when the worst happens, and call on followers to fight radical Islamism and defend freedom of expression….

Editors note: the online opinion piece that this letter refers to was published briefly on November 2 and then removed for review after readers pointed out factual inaccuracies.

Trump’s Diverse Coalition Buried Obama’s Race-Baiting Politics - Daniel Greenfield

 by Daniel Greenfield

The 2020 election showed ‘racism’ accusations work only on white people.

After four years of being accused of every form of bigotry on earth (and some that have yet to be discovered), Republicans brought home the largest share of non-white voters since 1960.

The last time Republicans had numbers like these, Democrats were the segregationist party.

The Democrat plan to turn Texas red depended on organizing Latino voters. Instead Latino voters handed Trump entire counties while white suburbanites voted for Biden. The Black Lives Matter movement was meant to boost black turnout, instead black support for Trump grew.

The Colorado counties that shifted to Trump were majority Latino.

31% of Latinos, 30% of Asian Americans, and 12% of black people voted for Trump. Among black men, a shockingly unprecedented 18%, or nearly 1 in 5, cast their votes for him.

And,significantly, in the ‘Other’ category of people who are not white, but don’t fit into one of these categories on account of either being mixed race or another minority, 40% voted Trump.

28% of people who identify as gay, lesbian or transgender also voted for him.

In Florida, 47% of Latinos and 43% of Jews voted for Trump.

A coalition of working class Americans of all races, colors, and creeds flipped House seats and handed entire states to President Trump. They did it because they put the economy first and identity politics last. After four years of false accusations of racism, the Trump campaign emerged with the most multicultural Republican coalition in generations. In some ways, ever.

President Trump gained ground with every minority group, but lost ground with white people. The only group of white people that Biden won a majority with were college educated men.

That’s because racism accusations only really work on white people. Educated white people. And no one feels guiltier than the ultimate enemy of all that is wholly diverse: the white male.

Minority groups may vote in blocs, they may vote for candidates out of ethnic or racial pride, and they may vote against others because they sense or suspect hostility, but four years of racism accusations in the media not only didn’t shrink Trump’s minority vote share, but increased it.

White people live in fear of accusations of racism. They’re weighed down by a massive burden of guilt. So many of the suburbanites who voted for Biden are afraid of saying the wrong thing, not just because they’ll get fired or mobbed on social media, but because they believe the premise of the 1619 Project that America was born out of sin and that they’re guilty of it.

The 1619 Project, the rants of Robin DiAngelo and Ibram X. Kendi are meant for white people. White people are buying their books, flocking to their seminars, putting up Black Lives Matter signs outside their suburban estates, and beating their shriveled breasts in struggle sessions.

Identity politics is for minorities. Identity cringe is for white people.

Accusations of racism didn’t stop minorities from voting for Trump and Republicans, not even in the Black Lives Matter era, but they likely played a role in driving away some college educated white males. And college educated white people are the actual targets of cancel culture.

The Trump campaign was able to find black male celebrities who supported him, but the absence of any younger white celebrity besides Kid Rock on par with Kanye West or Lil Wayne is telling. A black celebrity’s career can survive a flirtation with Trump. Chris Pratt merely opting out of a Biden fundraiser led to an outburst of cancel culture rage and negative news coverage.

Accusations of racism are a powerful weapon in the political arsenal, but accusations of racism by media talking heads and activists have little ability to either intimidate or influence minorities.

How did President Trump and Republicans broaden their share of the vote by over a quarter since 2016? They appealed to practical economic interests and offered strong leadership. In a nation divided between workers and wokes, workers of all races came out for President Trump.

The racial obsession of the wokes is another fetish of a widely hated elite. The country is divided, not racially or economically, but culturally and politically. The wokes, who endlessly go on about everyone else’s privilege, dominate Big Tech and new corporate and government hires. The entertainment industry exists to serve their whims. Advertisers rush to throw up fantasy images of their lives to push their products. If they like a TV series, it gets picked up. If they start buying a beer, then the national chains treat them as influencers and stock up.

The rest of the country is beginning to notice it and is getting sick and tired of it.

The “resistance” was the hysterical outburst of an entitled and unhinged elite. So was the Black Lives Matter movement and its “anti-racism”. And while the elite is diverse, so is the anti-elite.

America is becoming a more diverse country. But that doesn’t mean bloc voting for Democrats.

Democrats and their media have decided to make all politics into identity politics while Trump countered by making all politics into anti-establishment politics. That’s the secret sauce.

Neo-Marxist politics require breaking society down into simplistic general categories, while populism harnesses the energy of anti-establishment hostility to powerful elites. The Democrats lectured minorities about race, gender, and equity, while Trump talked to them about elites.

The end result shows exactly why the establishment feared his brand of populist politics.

The 2020 election was many things. It pitted rural workers against suburban bedroom communities. It was the ultimate anti-lockdown protest in a locked down nation. And it was an uprising by the people who don’t run anything against those who seem to run everything.

That such an uprising touched nerves among minorities should come as no surprise.

Despite Democrat efforts to make the election all about race, 2020 is historic because for the first time since Obama put identity politics at the center of all presidential elections, a presidential election transcended race, gender, and the rest of the identity politics prison.

Whatever the outcome, it was a powerful redemptive movement that banished Obama’s legacy.

A man who had been falsely smeared as a racist built an unprecedentedly diverse coalition and fought a battle for the freedom of all Americans to live, to work, and to worship in freedom.

Why Does Biden Have So Many More Votes Than Democrat Senators In Swing States? - Tyler Durden

 by Tyler Durden

Hat tip: Dr. Jean-charles Bensoussan

Sure looks like vote stuffing!

In most elections, the majority of votes are cast "down the ticket" - meaning, a voter supports both party's presidential nominee and state Congressional candidates. In fact, according to Pew Research, "overwhelming shares of voters who are supporting Trump and Biden say they are also supporting the same-party candidate for Senate."

Typically, this means that that the number of votes for a presidential candidate and that party's Senate candidates are relatively close.

Twitter user "US Rebel" (@USRebellion1776), however, found that the number of votes cast for Joe Biden far exceeds those cast for that state's Senate candidates in swing states, while those cast for Trump and GOP Senators remains far closer.

In Michigan, for example, there was a difference of just 7,131 votes between Trump and GOP candidate John James, yet the difference between Joe Biden and Democratic candidate Gary Peters was a staggering 69,093.

In Georgia, there was an 818 vote difference between Trump and the GOP Senator, vs. a 95,000 difference between Biden and the Democratic candidate for Senator.

Yet, in two non-swing states, there was "no massive flood of mysterious empty Biden votes," leading US Rebel to suggest "It's fraud."

In Wyoming, the difference on the Democratic side is is just 725 votes, while in Montana the difference is 27,457.

What's going on here? If it were "never-Trumpers" pairing Biden with their GOP Congressional picks? If so, we would expect fewer votes for Trump than GOP Senators. We're open to suggestions.
