The teacher also appears to say she is "challenging" the Pledge of Allegiance by having students "change the words."
An undercover video by the investigative journalism group Project Veritas appears to show a New York City middle school teacher explaining how she has students "change the words" of the Pledge of Allegiance and how to throw bricks at the right people during protests.
English teacher Ariane Franco seemingly unknowingly also told the Project Veritas journalist that she told her students there are "strategic ways" to throw bricks.
"Doing it to our own communities does not make sense," she says. You got to go after people who it's not directly affecting. ... Throw it at the people that are actually doing the things that [need to] change."
In the video, Franco also cites as examples "crazy organizations" whose members throw bricks.
Franco also said she is "challenging" the Pledge of Allegiance by having students "change the words" and not stand up for the pledge.
Attempts to learn whether Franco's school district knows about the video and has a response have so far been unsuccessful.
Franco appears to have deleted her social media since the video was published earlier this week.
