Since Biden shut down the Trump administration’s program to stop Chinese infiltration, the FBI has its hands tied behind its back
The old “give them a green card along with their diploma” embraced by so many Republicans continues to bear fruit. When it isn’t importing Islamic terrorists, it’s embedding Chinese spies.
A former U.S. Army reservist was convicted of acting within the United States as an illegal agent of the People’s Republic of China, the Justice Department confirmed on Tuesday.
Army reservist is rather generic.
Ji Chaoqun “was formally recruited and swore an oath to ‘devote the rest of my life to state security.'”
Not that of the United States.
He later enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves in 2016, under the Military Accessions Vital to the National Interest program. The program authorizes the military to recruit certain legal aliens whose skills are considered vital to the national interest.
As the FBI/DOJ release makes clear, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Chaoqun was actually tasked with recruiting personnel to serve Communist China.
Evidence presented at the two-week trial revealed that Ji worked at the direction of a high-level intelligence officer in the Jiangsu Province Ministry of State Security (JSSD), a provincial department of the Ministry of State Security for the People’s Republic of China. Ji, a Chinese citizen residing in Chicago, was tasked with providing the intelligence officer with biographical information on certain individuals for possible recruitment by the JSSD. The individuals included Chinese nationals who were working as engineers and scientists in the United States, some of whom were U.S. defense contractors.
Some details are still being kept secret, but the ‘complaint’ still reveals that his bosses appeared to be targeting Chinese, some Taiwanese, engineers working in aerospace, particularly at an unknown company, likely to be Boeing, for recruitment.
Since Biden shut down the Trump administration’s program to stop Chinese infiltration, the FBI has its hands tied behind its back, much as it does when fighting Islamic terrorists. So for every one of these guys who are caught, a thousand operate freely.
