Jim Jordan says Congress is going to press FBI head Wray on transparency regarding Biden document - Charlotte Hazard

Last month, Wray came under fire from House Republicans for not complying with a subpoena and not turning over an informant document on the Biden family investigation.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Oh.) says that during FBI Director Christopher Wray's upcoming testimony on Wednesday, the committee plans to press him on a document he kept from Congress and the American people.

"For example, this 1023 form that he just keeps dragging his feet on and won't let the full Congress see," Jordan said on the "Great American Show with Lou Dobbs."

"More importantly, he won't let the American people see this form from a confidential source that talks about this scheme that saw foreign nationals paying the Bidens," he continued. "And supposedly, according to this source, Joe Biden was going to do certain policy things in exchange for that money. So, you know, we should be able to get that form. We're going to continue to press on that."

Last month, Wray came under fire from House Republicans for not complying with a subpoena and not turning over an informant document on the Biden family investigation.

The form includes information provided to the bureau in June 2020 by a confidential human source alleging a bribery scheme involving President Biden when he was vice president. Lawmakers learned about the existence of the memo from FBI whistleblowers.

Jordan said later during the interview that House Speaker Kevin McCarthy is open to the idea of possibly impeaching Attorney General Merrick Garland, who has also been criticized for exercising his role in a partisan manner.

"There are some who have called for a real investigation into impeachment — kind of an impeachment inquiry there," Jordan stated. "We haven't moved down that road yet, although Speaker McCarthy has been clear when it comes to the Attorney General, Merrick Garland, that he is very open to an impeachment inquiry with the Attorney General. So we'll keep pressing."

Senator Ted Cruz called last month for Garland to be investigated over his alleged weaponization of the Department of Justice as whistleblowers claim the executive agency has acted improperly in politically sensitive investigations.
