Source claims Justice Department 'seriously considering' releasing Pollard, who has been held on spying charges since 1985.

Jonathan Pollard may finally be released in November 2015, a source stated Friday, some 30 years after his arrest on spying charges in the US.
According to the report, which first aired in the Algemeiner, the Justice Department is "seriously considering" releasing the 61 year-old on November 21.
While Pollard's release has been reported, anticipated, and then denied several times, the source stressed that the potential release has no connection whatsoever with recent developments - and especially not the Iran deal, which has strained US-Israel relations and which is rumored to be behind a possible compensation package.
Pollard has been suffering from poor health - particularly over the past year - and has recently become the subject of a high-profile campaign for his release.
In November 2014, as Pollard started his 30th year in jail, the Parole Board of the Justice Department rejected Pollard's parole, with senior US officials involved in the case writing to President Barack Obama to complain that the decision was "deeply flawed."
