A New Palestinian Song encourages more Terror - Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik
by Itamar Marcus and Nan Jacques Zilberdik
A song that urges Palestinians to use cars to commit terror attacks against Israelis has become a big hit on social media. One video version of the song “Run over [the settler]!” by singers Muhammad Abu Al-Kayed and Anas Jaradat has more than 385,000 viewings on the “Quds News Network” Facebook page. On one of the singers’ YouTube channel the song has more than 71,000 viewings.
The song calls for murder: “Run [them] over, destroy, annihilate, blow them up.” Palestinians are urged to “lay an ambush on the road and run them over.”
The song promotes the libel that the PA leaders are disseminating and which Palestinian Media Watch has documented, that Israel is trying to destroy the Al-Aqsa Mosque, which is “in danger” and in need of “defenders”:
“For you, glorious Al-Aqsa
We’ll run over settlers
...
Lay an ambush on the road
And run them over, Allah will aid you
...
Run them over, burn the next in line
Don’t leave a single settler
...
Wait for them at the intersection
Let the settler drown in red blood
Terrorize them
...
Run [them] over, destroy, annihilate, blow them up;
Don’t let the Zionist live long
O Al-Aqsa, we’re your defenders
O son of Jerusalem, cry ‘Allah is great’!”
The song appears in the wake of several terror attacks carried out by Palestinians using cars to run over Israelis in Jerusalem in recent weeks. Four people have been killed and dozens injured in these attacks. It honors the terrorist murderers and the terrorist who attempted to murder Rabbi Yehuda Glick because of his work to secure rights for Jews on the Temple Mount. The song dedicates one stanza to each terrorist.
“The whole Arab nation is telling you:
Al-Akari, bless your [soul]
Run over the settler!
Run over the settler!
Abd Al-Rahman Al-Shaloudi
ran over a Jewish settler
He did it for his country
with his limited means
Today, the entire people demands a hero
willing to fight with weapons
He began fighting with a car,
running them over like rabbits.
Mutaz Hijazi didn’t neglect [his duty]
when he wielded his weapon and took control
Mother [of Hijazi], let’s hear cries of joy
Mutaz has been promised Paradise.”
In another video version of the song, the Palestinian singers have put together different pictures to illustrate their message. There are photos of the recent terrorist attacks with cars and the Israeli victims, as well as of the terrorists themselves, honored as “Martyrs.” There are pictures of riots with stone-throwing Palestinians and burning tires, and a picture of Rabbi Yehuda Glick, who was shot in the attempted assassination. In the picture, Glick is looking at Jerusalem, which is encircled with a heart, while Glick is crossed out. There are pictures of speedometers showing 150 km/h speed and with the text “Jerusalem” and “run over,” traffic signs with pictograms showing cars ramming into people and the texts: “To the Zionists in occupied Jerusalem: Warning: You may be run over any moment“ and “The Car Intifada - Da’es.” “Da’es” - "run over" is a new “concept,” born of the Palestinian terror attacks with cars. The acronym constitutes a play on words on the Arabic word for "run over" - da'es - and the Arabic acronym for the Islamic State terror organization - Da'esh. Another pictogram in the video shows a driver with a steering wheel that is also a rifle with text stating: “Hit the gas and declare revolution!” A picture of one of the vans used in one of the car attacks appears with the text: “M75 [rocket] on four wheels.”
On his personal Facebook page, singer Muhammad Abu Al-Kayed also posted this cartoon, showing a Palestinian child trying to ram a car operated by remote control into a fleeing Jew.

During the recent tense days in Jerusalem, Abbas’ Fatah movement has posted similar cartoons and messages, encouraging Palestinians to carry out terror attacks by car, as Palestinian Media Watch has reported. Abbas’ advisor has praised the car terrorists who killed 4 and Abbas himself has honored the terrorist who attempted to murder Rabbi Glick.
The following is a longer excerpt of the song calling for more terror attacks against Israelis by car:
The Facebook page of the “Quds News Network” posted a song with the title “Run over [the settler], run over [the settler]!”
“You (i.e., Israelis) ran over a two-month-old,
we paid you back twofold
For you, glorious Al-Aqsa
We’ll run over settlers”
Run over the settler!
Run over the settler!
Lay an ambush on the road
And run them over, Allah will aid you
The whole Arab nation is telling you:
Al-Akari, bless your [soul]
Run over the settler!
Run over the settler!
...
Abd Al-Rahman Al-Shaloudi
ran over a Jewish settler
He did it for his country
with his limited means
...
Today, the entire people demands a hero
willing to fight with weapons
He began fighting with a car,
running them over like rabbits.
Run over the settler!
Run over the settler!
...
Run them over, burn the next in line
Don’t leave a single settler
In Gaza they took away their dignity
In the [West] Bank we want to wipe them out.
Wait for them at the intersection
Let the settler drown in red blood
Terrorize them
Your heart is strong
Careful: Show no compassion
Mutaz Hijazi didn’t neglect [his duty]
when he wielded his weapon and took control
Mother [of Hijazi], let’s hear cries of joy
Mutaz has been promised Paradise.
Run over the settler!
Run over the settler!
...
Run [them] over, destroy, annihilate, blow them up;
Don’t let the Zionist live long
O Al-Aqsa, we’re your defenders
O son of Jerusalem, cry ‘Allah is great’!
Run over the settler!
Run over the settler!
...
Netanyahu, tell your people, your soldiers have gotten lost in the [West] Bank
Every day we’ll run over one of your soldiers,
O Palestinians, O proud ones,
refuel your car and run over the settlers
until my country’s land returns,
For your sake, Palestine.”

Notes:
“A two-month-old baby” in the song apparently refers to an accident that occurred on Oct. 19, 2014, when a Jewish Israeli man from the town of Yizhar ran over and killed five-year-old Inas Dar Khalil and critically injured five-year-old Toleen Asfour, on a highway in the West Bank. According to official Israeli news sources, the man called the police to report the incident, which an initial investigation revealed to have been an accident. The incident is still being investigated.
Ibrahim Al-Akari - Hamas terrorist from East Jerusalem who carried out a terror attack by car on Nov. 5, 2014, at a light-rail station in Jerusalem, killing 2 and injuring at least 13 others. He was shot and killed by Israeli police officers who arrived on the scene.
Abd Al-Rahman Al-Shaloudi - On Oct. 22, 2014, Al-Shaloudi drove his car into a light-rail station in Jerusalem, killing three-month-old Israeli-American Haya Zissel-Brown and Karen Mosquera, 22, of Ecuador, and injuring 7 others. He was shot by police while attempting to flee the scene, and later died of his wounds.
Mutaz Hijazi - Islamic Jihad member and released prisoner who attempted to assassinate Rabbi Yehuda Glick, a prominent activist working to assure rights for Jews to visit and pray on the Temple Mount, on Oct. 29, 2014. The assassination attempt took place following a conference on establishing times and places for Jews to pray on the Temple Mount. Glick was seriously wounded in the attack; Hijazi was killed soon afterwards when he opened fire on an Israeli police force that was attempting to arrest him.
