Will America’s woke, partisan intelligence community now turn on Joe Biden?
“Federal investigation of Hunter Biden heats up,” headlined a March 30 CNN story that mentioned “a laptop purported to belong to Hunter Biden and said to include his business documents and other potentially salacious materials.” As CNN previously reported, the FBI took possession of the laptop in late 2019.
On October 19, 2020, 51 former intelligence officials claimed Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation.” Since the laptop became a news item last month, the intelligence crew has not owned up to any falsehoods or expressed any second thoughts. The back story here is American disinformation, from official American sources.
The signatories to the October 19, 2020 statement include CIA directors John Brennan, Leon Panetta and Michael Hayden, along with former acting CIA directors Mike Morell and John McLaughlin. John Moseman and Larry Pfeiffer formerly served as chiefs of staff at the CIA.
Signatory Doug Wise was deputy director of the Defense Intelligence Agency and Rick Ledgett, formerly deputy director of the National Security Agency. Joining these heavyweights is a squad of former CIA officers and analysts, along with former director of national intelligence James Clapper, who famously called the Muslim brotherhood a “largely secular” organization.
“Nine additional former IC officers who cannot be named publicly also support the arguments in this letter.” The signatories are “all individuals who devoted significant portions of our lives to national security,” and many “worked for presidents of both political parties.” As the letter closes out: “it is high time that Russia stops interfering in our democracy.”
For all but the willfully blind, this is a repetition of the Russia hoax, proclaimed by Hillary Clinton in 2016 and found false by Robert Mueller’s investigation. The 2020 repetition shows that the vaunted “intelligence community,” like the upper reaches of the FBI and DOJ, is a partisan force for the Democrats. The vaunted CIA has already revealed itself as woke bureaucracy that stands more for “Cisgender Intersectional Agitprop” than proven performance.
“I used to struggle with impostor syndrome, but at 36 I refuse to internalize misguided patriarchal ideas of what a woman can or should be,” claims an unnamed CIA employee in a recent CIA recruiting video. “I am intersectional, but my existence is not a box-checking exercise,” the CIA star claims. CIA bosses now believe “diversity is an operational advantage,” and want agents who “look like the UN,” not necessarily the best people for the job.
In 1976, college student John Brennan voted for Gus Hall, presidential candidate of the Communist Party USA, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Soviet Union. That was Brennan’s right, but it disqualified him for any job in the CIA, which duly hired him in 1980. In 1997, Clinton national security advisor Anthony Lake failed to become CIA director partly because he thought Stalinist spy Alger Hiss might be innocent.
The CIA failed to protect America on September 11, 2001, and director George Tenet did not step down until 2004. John Brennan was then rising through the ranks and in 2013, President Obama, the “composite character” David Garrow described in Rising Star, tapped the Gus Hall voter for CIA director.
Obama’s strongest influence was Frank Marshall Davis – disguised as happy-drunk “Frank” in the 1995 Dreams from My Father – an African American Communist who spent most of his life defending the all-white Soviet dictatorship. If independent scholar Paul Kengor can identify Davis as a Communist and Soviet agent, so can America’s most powerful intelligence agency.
Whatever CIA and FBI bosses knew in 2008 they kept to themselves, and Davis was not an issue. Kengor’s book on Davis was published in July, 2012, but Mitt Romney never deployed it against the incumbent. The composite character got a second term and in 2013 tapped John Brennan for CIA boss.
With the possible exception of Adam Schiff, Brennan was the shrillest voice in the Russia hoax chorus, claiming that Trump was in Putin’s pocket and therefore treasonous. In 2020, Brennan and more than 50 former intel bosses recycle the hoax. As this reveals, “our democracy” means the candidate they want and in 2020 it was Joe Biden, already exposed as delusional, (“you ain’t black”) and dangerous, regarding the Chinese communists as “not bad folks,” and not even competition for the United States.
Renewed interest in Hunter Biden’s laptop, some observers believe, may be part of the Democrats’ effort to dump Joe Biden. Should the intel crew go after the Delaware Democrat, things could get interesting in a hurry.
“Let me tell you,” Chuck Schumer explains, “You take on the intelligence community — they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.” And like their counterparts in the former Soviet KGB, they are willing to use them.
Biden could experience the sort of operations Pavel Sudoplatov described in Special Tasks. In the meantime, what the American people need is someone like KGB archivist Vasili Mitrokhin, profiled by Christopher Andrew in The Sword and the Shield.
Mitrokhin defected with a vast trove of material about KGB operations and personnel. In similar style, Americans need a brave patriot to expose what has been going on with the CIA, even before it was run by a Gus Hall voter who called Hunter Biden’s laptop Soviet disinformation.
