Following the publication of hostage videos of Evyatar David and Rom Braslavski, the International Red Cross (ICRC) and World Health Organization (WHO) have called for the immediate and unconditional release of the hostages in statements released on Monday.

"These videos are stark evidence of the life-threatening conditions in which the hostages are being held," the ICRC stated. "We have said from day one, and we reiterate, that all hostages must be released immediately and unconditionally."

"All forms of public exposure that humiliate persons deprived of liberty and endanger their safety must be avoided. This dire situation must come to an end," the statement concluded.

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the WHO, echoed the ICRC's statement in a post on X/Twitter, saying that "all those being held must receive access to food and medical care, and must be treated without any form of humiliation."

In the videos published by Hamas over the weekend, both David and Braslavski appear weak and emaciated.

On Saturday night, thousands showed up in Hostages Square in Tel Aviv to protest for a comprehensive deal to bring them back, along with the other 48 remaining hostages in Gaza.

This is a developing story.
