Backfire: FBI's ransacking of Trump home is going over badly with the public —poll - Monica Showalter

by Monica Showalter

With a bad political stench spreading all through the Biden administration, see how they scurry...

Just as Joe Biden thought he had the best news ever for the public, claiming inflation is now "zero," in come poll numbers showing that the FBI raid on President Trump's Mar-a-Lago home has a bad stench to the public.

According to PJMedia's Stacey Lennox:

According to a new poll from Convention of States and Trafalgar Group, the majority of Independents, 53.9%, believe Trump's political enemies are behind the FBI Raid. They join 76.7% of Republicans who hold the same view. The two groups are also aligned on enthusiasm to vote based on the FBI raid. The spectacle increased the motivation to vote for 83.3% of Republicans and 71.7% of Independents.

Nearly three-quarters of Trump-Deranged Democrats believe the raid was the impartial justice system at work. The raid did not create as much enthusiasm to vote among Democrats, with only 55.2% saying it made a difference.

"Independent and Republican voters are united in their outrage about this unprecedented and tragic event in American history. It's clear to voters that the FBI raid is designed to punish the primary political enemy of the regime in power," said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States. "This gestapo-style injustice has created a voting surge that is so significant, the polling doesn't even begin to reflect what is coming from grassroots voters in November,"

That's a disastrous result.  And it's not as if Joe Biden was doing well with independents, who are largely negative on him based on his failures to create a good economy, run a credible foreign policy, or protect the border.  He's already underwater with them on those matters.

Democrats clearly realize that the public is on to them in their political persecution of an opponent they'd do anything to stop from running for office in 2024.

So like rats, they're scurrying.

They're pretending they know nothing about this, even though a raid of this kind is unprecedented, and normally would require the approval of the highest offices in the land.

Instead of claiming ownership, they are doing all they can to claim that Joe Biden and his attorney general, Merrick Garland, knew nothing about it.

Garland, for one, is hiding:

Lennox observes that the White House spin control machine is on full throttle:

In an exclusive for Newsweek, "anonymous law enforcement sources" are trying to convince America that Attorney General Merrick Garland did not know about the raid. And that there was a confidential source.

The raid on Mar-a-Lago was based largely on information from an FBI confidential human source, one who was able to identify what classified documents former President Trump was still hiding and even the location of those documents, two senior government officials told Newsweek.

The entire piece is ridiculous. If the "confidential human source" told the agency precisely what President Trump had and where it was, why were they there for close to nine hours? Do we really believe that there were classified documents in Melania's underwear drawer? The entire story reads like something out of the Babylon Bee.

It's got to be bad for them out there, with voters on to them.  As Abraham Lincoln supposedly said, "You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."

We've reached that last stage now as some low-level magistrate with a skeevy past linked to Jeffrey Epstein can sign off on an FBI raid of the president's personal residence, opening the gate for anyone to raid any president any time, which will become the standard.

It's not justice by any means.  It's Hugo Chávez–style thugcraft, dictatorship in democracy's clothing, and the public knows it.

That's got to be unsettling for anyone who up until now thought the U.S. was above that.  The obvious reflection of it is there in the polls.

But don't expect Joe Biden, a mean, vindictive, vicious, senile old man who's controlled by malevolent creatures such as Susan Rice, Jill Biden, and Ron Klain to take any responsibility for it.  He's Basement Joe, and he likes to hide.

Having a lot of corruption and illegality all over his own record, Biden knows that the only way to stop Trump is to jail him first.  He doesn't care if he sets the entire legal system on fire to do it.

But it's backfiring badly.  All this jump-the-shark raid is doing is making the public despise him more.

He must be confident he can steal the next election just as he did the last one for such a result with the public to be disregarded.

Or else it was ignorance, living in a swamp bubble and not knowing a thing about how foolable the voters really are.

There is some evidence for that, too.

According to Hot Air's John Sexton:

The story also says the raid was intentionally timed to occur when Trump would not be there. Apparently the FBI thought this would lower the profile of the raid. But the DOJ source admits this didn't work as planned. His explanation here is basically we're not politically corrupt just dumb.

Whatever it was, the Biden administration has set itself on fire with the lighter fuel they had intended to use to set the justice system on fire.

One can only hope this reaction is the result:

One can only hope that this is the beginning of the end for them.

The Federal Government Refuses to Listen - J. B. Shurk

by J. B. Shurk

The raid on President Trump's personal residence is merely the latest in a "long train of abuses" orchestrated by the federal government against the American people.

These are the times that try men's souls.  Patriotic, law-abiding Americans have been voicing their grievances against the federal government for years, if not decades.  They have called out the ever-growing administrative state that seeks control over every part of an American's life.  They have called out the politicization of justice and the unequal application of the law.  They have denounced the domestic surveillance Deep State that tracks their movements, reads their emails and texts, and monitors their bank accounts without warrants or probable cause.  They have urged state governments to reclaim powers stolen by federal authorities, and they have begged federal politicians to return to a system of true federalism, separation of powers, and balanced government.  They have screamed at the top of their lungs for Congress to stop spending money it does not have and to fulfill its decades of promises to secure the porous Southern border from endless illegal immigration saturating small interior communities with crime, murder, drugs, and social disintegration.  The federal government has refused to listen.

A mere four years from the 250th anniversary of the thirteen colonies' Declaration of Independence from Great Britain, and much of America now sees history repeating again.  A tyrannical system of government that rules imperiously from its royal city walls has become every bit a threat to human liberty today as it was two and a half centuries ago.  A faceless, unelected, and unaccountable administrative army makes and enforces its own rules and uses its byzantine system of regulation and taxation to intimidate ordinary Americans into compliance and submission.  A nefariously partisan DOJ and FBI hunt political opponents and citizen-dissenters as enemies of the state.  An independent and obscure collection of intelligence agencies use their obscene powers not to keep the United States safe from foreign attacks, but rather to keep the American people under a constant state of surveillance.

With every tool for silencing public debate at its disposal, the United States government seeks to make itself impervious to the will of America's voters.  No nation can remain united when its corrupt politicians betray their representative duties.  No country can endure when its government views its citizens as enemies.  No constitutional republic can survive when its bloated bureaucratic system undermines its own constitutional limits.  Peace will not hold.

The federal government has two chief responsibilities to the American people: (1) to protect the nation from foreign threats and (2) to maintain a limited system of government that preserves and maximizes Americans' personal liberties.  It has failed in both duties.

Instead of securing the nation's borders, the U.S. government concerns itself with Ukraine's.  Instead of preventing Islamic terrorists from killing Americans, the FBI hunts patriotic Americans as domestic terrorists.  Instead of ensuring America's energy independence and strengthening America's industrial and manufacturing self-reliance, the federal government's international "trade deals" and Green New Deal suicide pacts have made the United States dependent on its geopolitical enemies for survival.  Instead of safeguarding the value of the U.S. dollar and protecting future American generations from unsustainable debt and deficits, congressional budgets far beyond anything the American taxpayer is willing to support have set the monetary system on a path to inevitable collapse.

For all the federal government's wasteful money-spending, fondness for foreign wars, commitment to enriching adversarial nations at Americans' expense, intentional violations of immigration law, and innumerable failures to stop foreign terrorist attacks on American soil, what have citizens received in return?  An oppressive regime that uses its religious commitment to cultural Marxism, "climate change" fanaticism, overtly racist Critical Race Theory, anti-Christian bigotry, and ever-changing standards for political "correctness" as an ideological sickle and hammer for crushing American liberty, stamping out free expression, and persecuting every free-thinker.  The federal government and its bureaucratic agents despise freedom.  D.C.'s unaccountable agencies detest personal privacy and property rights.  The Leviathan's regime enforcers abhor the Bill of Rights and Americans' other inviolable and natural individual liberties.  Why?  Because rights, private ownership, and personal freedoms are the most important checks against illegitimate exercises of government power.  American freedom is an absolute guarantee against State tyranny.  And in the federal government's embrace of communist principles, it cannot survive if the American people maintain power.

Much will continue to be written about the decision of Washington's despotic government to raid President Donald Trump's personal residence on August 8, 2022, in search of a crime — any crime — that can be used as an excuse for keeping him off the 2024 election ballot.  What happened at Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, Florida may one day be remembered as the spark that finally tore the nation in two.  It is important to remember that it is merely the latest in a long train of abuses orchestrated by the federal government against the American people.

When Americans made history by sending a complete "outsider" to Washington, D.C., in 2016 in the hopes of rectifying decades of gross government mismanagement, the levers of the permanent bureaucratic State set to work to usurp Donald Trump's presidency.  The FBI and DOJ orchestrated massive fraud against the American people by promoting and sustaining Hillary Clinton's Russia collusion hoax, meant to take down Barack Obama's successor.  A disloyal and hostile Deep State worked to sabotage the Trump administration with innuendo, illegal leaks to the press, and outright subversion of lawful orders.  An unscrupulous Congress committed to its own corrupt aggrandizement and united in its efforts to resist necessary reform in the swamp engaged in endless investigation and casual calumny meant to weaken the president's authority.  An irredeemable corporate news media establishment ignored all of Washington's crimes while promoting its most absurd conspiracies.  And the whole wretched bunch transformed understandably raucous January 6 political protests into an immoral, shameless, conscienceless, and Machiavellian opportunity to murder, hunt down, torment, and jail their political adversaries.  D.C. is rotten to the core.

Two-tiered justice will deliver certain crisis.  The political Union will not hold when George Bush's PATRIOT Act is used to trap Americans within a national security surveillance state.  The Union will not hold when Barack Obama's IRS, FBI, and DOJ are used as sledgehammers for harassing political opponents.  The Union will not hold when the Biden and Clinton families' decades of known criminal conduct are ignored, while the federal government pursues endless — and endlessly corrupt — investigations unabashedly intent upon Donald Trump's imprisonment.  The Union will not hold when free speech is censored as "misinformation."  The Union will not hold when a lawless Deep State makes the American people its enemy.  A nation divided against itself cannot stand.

If there be anyone remaining in Washington, D.C. who understands the gravity of this moment, now is the time to speak loudly and prominently before the nation's passions become an inferno.  The time is approaching, if it has not already passed, when no governmental reforms or rhetorical promises will save what is broken.  In that dangerous moment, desperate pleas from those who remain quiet today will fall on a country of deaf ears.  Violence, carnage, and chaos will return, as they always do, when people entrusted with great power choose instead to abuse what's in their custody.  Those silently complicit in the federal government's overreach today will find no such luxury should the American continent cleave in two.

Americans have begged for their grievances to be redressed.  The federal government has chosen instead to poke them repeatedly in the eye.  Anyone familiar with American history knows that wounded and wild American patriots are a force to behold.  And the scariest thing is...they have not yet even begun to fight!

Hunter Biden helped former Biden aide with House campaign while working with his CCP-tied business partner - Cameron Cawthorne , Jessica Chasmar

by Cameron Cawthorne , Jessica Chasmar

Then-Vice President Biden hosted at least four fundraisers and campaign events for Fran Person in 2016

FIRST ON FOX: Hunter Biden and his longtime business partner Eric Schwerin were actively working behind the scenes in 2016 to solicit donations for a top former Biden adviser's congressional campaign while also working on Chinese business deals with the adviser's business partner, according to emails reviewed and authenticated by Fox News Digital.

Francis "Fran" Person, who served in the Obama administration as an adviser to then-Vice President Biden and a special assistant to President Obama between 2009 and 2014, left the White House in late July 2014 for an advisory role at the University of South Carolina, his alma mater, before becoming the president of the Harves Group less than six months later in January 2015, according to his Linkedin profile that was deleted within the last three weeks.

Person frequently emailed with Hunter and Schwerin of the now-defunct Rosemont Seneca Partners about business dealings associated with the Harves Group in 2015 and 2016, and he made multiple visits to the White House during that time, including attending a White House holiday reception in December 2015 with Bo Zhang, the Chinese executive who founded the Harves Group and has ties to officials at some of the highest levels of the Communist Party of China.

Person, whose sister worked for Hunter and Schwerin before joining Vice President Biden's office as a personal assistant in 2014, previously told Fox News Digital that his visits to the White House were "personal in nature."

On Feb. 29, 2016, Person announced that he was seeking the Democratic nomination to unseat Rep. Mick Mulvaney, R-S.C. One day after the announcement, Hunter introduced George Duko, an executive at DuPont, to Zhang in an email, with Person and Zhang's aunt Bcc'd on the email, discussing a potential business partnership between DuPont and Harves.

"Their reputation is impeccable, and they have strong local, provincial, and national level government relationships - specifically in Shenzhen - which is essential in getting any major project done," Hunter said, hyping up Harves Century Group's connections to the Chinese government.

In March 2016, Hunter Biden emailed an executive at DuPont to introduce him to Bo Zhang, the chairman at Harves Investment Group, and hyped up the Chinese parent company's connections to "national level government relationships."

Two days after that, on March 3, 2016, Schwerin introduced Person to Jeff Cooper, a business associate of his and Hunter's. Person later thanked Schwerin in an email for making the introduction and said that due to his own "close relationship with VP Biden," the expectation "is very high for me to be a well funded candidate." Cooper would later donate $2,700 to Fran's campaign in October of that year.

In March 2016, days after former Joe Biden adviser Fran Person announced he was running for Congress in South Carolina, Hunter Biden's business partner, Eric Schwerin, introduced him to one of their business associates to help him with his campaign.

Later that month, on March 30, 2016, Hunter held a meeting with Zhang, the chairman and CEO of Harves, according to an email of his schedule from Rosemont Seneca Vice President Joan Mayer.

HUNTER BIDEN, FORMER BIDEN AIDE INVESTED IN CHINESE COMPANY TIED TO COMMUNIST PARTY, NBA CHINA

Less than three weeks later, on April 17, 2016, Schwerin sent an email to Tara Greco, who was serving as the director of communications for the National Basketball Players Association, Hunter, Zhang, and Person’s "HarvesGroup.com" email address that included an attached document titled, "NBA China event concept DRAFT updated."

"You’ll notice on slide 4, it mentions a ‘Proposed Sports Facility’ concept.  This is something new we haven’t discussed with you, but Tara [Greco] has learned that AEG has a deal with the NBA to build NBA branded stadiums around China," Schwerin wrote in the email. "Only two have been built to date and the project seems to have stalled but we want to research this further because if Liaoning can get one of these stadiums that would be a big help in your efforts to get more NBA related content in Liaoning."

In April 2016, Eric Schwerin emailed Bo Zhang, Hunter Biden, Fran Person, and others about a potential opportunity to build a NBA stadium in China and bring more "NBA related content in Liaoning."

FOX Business previously reported on Zhang's ties to Liaoning. In a December 2013 Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) filing with the Justice Department, Zhang is listed as the "Foreign Principal" and the filing noted his relationship with Chinese Government Official, Liu Guoqiang, who was the Vice Chairman of the Liaoning Committee of the "Chinese People's Political Conservative [sic] Conference (CPPCC) People's Republic of China."

The Diplomat reported last year that the CPPCC is a "key part" of China’s "United Front" work and that it is "designed to liaise with non-Communist Party members – and ultimately see them work with the CCP to advance its interests." Guoqiang was reportedly expelled from the Communist Party of China last year for taking bribes and other violations of the party's laws.

On May 4, 2016, Hunter, Schwerin and Zhang traveled to Wilmington, Delaware, to meet with Duko of DuPont.

Fox News Digital asked Duko in an email whether he recalled the name Fran Person coming up in the conversation during their Wilmington meeting, or whether Hunter, Schwerin, or Zhang pitched any other business deals to DuPont in China.

"I did meet with Hunter at their request, they wanted to discuss land we were in the process of selling at that time," Duko told Fox News Digital in a Tuesday email. "The transaction was already under contract to be sold and I informed Hunter that we would be proceeding with the transaction as planned.  We did not and have not discussed any other business dealings since that meeting. I do not recall the name Fran Person."

During this same time, Hunter was sending email pitches to raise money for Person's unsuccessful congressional bid, where Person received $2,700 each from Schwerin and Hunter, including $1,000 from then-Second Lady Jill Biden. Zhang and his mother, Jinglan Shao, both maxed out to Person’s campaign with two $2,700 donations each.

In a Politico profile piece on Person's departure from the White House in 2014, the second lady was quoted saying, "Fran has been like a son to Joe and me. For eight years, we traveled the country, shared holidays together … Fran may be leaving the office, but he will always be a part of our family."

One of the people Hunter reached out to was Brian Steel, a CNBC executive from 2007 until 2021. In September 2016, Steel made a revealing admission in his response to Hunter's email asking him if he could donate to Person's campaign.

"I look forward to seeing you on Monday. I’d love to support Fran but unfortunately as the EVP of CNBC I’m not allowed to donate to political campaigns," Steel wrote. "In year[s] past I would get around that by having my wife donate but after CNBC hosted a controversial/aggressive republican primary debate earlier this year Breibart [sic] and Rush Limbaugh outed me as the husband of a ‘max’ Hillary donor so I can’t even have Eileen donate any more."

In September 2016, a CNBC executive who has since left the network, told Hunter Biden he was "not allowed" to donate to political campaigns like Fran Person's campaign and revealed that he used to "get around" that policy by getting his wife to donate, but noted the loophole was exposed by Breitbart and Rush Limbaugh.

On May 6, 2016, two days after the DuPont meeting, Hunter referred to Zhang as his "good friend and business colleague" in an email, which was verified by Fox News Digital, to Henry Zhao, a Chinese Communist Party official and CEO of Harvest Fund Management, according to the New York Post. The Post reported in January that Zhao’s fund participated in a Chinese investment fund called Bohai Harvest RST, where Hunter served as a founding board member until October 2019.

Less than three weeks later, on May 26, 2016, Hunter sent an email to his contacts inviting them to a June 9 fundraiser for Person in D.C., writing, "Most of you know what Fran Person means to me and my family and we are excited to support him in his run for Congress."

According to the fundraiser invitation that was posted on the campaign's Facebook page, several of President Biden's current top White House aides were on the host committee of the fundraiser in 2016, including White House chief of staff Ron Klain, senior adviser Mike Donilon, national security adviser Jake Sullivan, deputy chief of staff Bruce Reed, and the director of Oval Office operations, Annie Tomasini, among others. Politico Playbook said the next morning that "more than 100 former and current White House aides" were in attendance.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken and his wife, Evan Ryan, who is currently serving as the White House cabinet secretary, also donated a combined $8,100 to Person's campaign in 2016. President Biden's wife, Jill; sister, Valerie; brother-in-law, Jack; brother, James; nieces, Casey and Missy; and son, Hunter, also donated thousands of dollars to Person's campaign in 2016.

HUNTER BIDEN'S FOREIGN BUSINESS DEALINGS: 4 COUNTRIES WITH FINANCIAL LINKS TO PRESIDENT'S SON

The next month, on June 15, 2016, Hunter and Schwerin met Zhang for dinner, according to Hunter’s schedule. One month later, on July 14, 2016, Hunter, Schwerin, and Zhang met with the real estate investment firm Buccini/Pollin Group in Wilmington, Delaware, according to Hunter’s schedule.

Hunter’s assistant later sent an email to Hunter and Schwerin about a call on July 25, 2016, with Zhang and the "Buccinis," which refers to Robert and Christopher Buccini of Buccini/Pollin Group. On the same day as the meeting, Schwerin sent a PDF with an email subject line, "Harves Deck," to Hunter and Robert and Christopher Buccini. Neither Buccini has been implicated in any professional or criminal misconduct.

On Sept. 12, 2016, Person’s campaign hosted Vice President Biden for a lunch fundraiser in Fort Mill, South Carolina. During the event, Biden said Person has the "heart of a lion" and a "moral compass that has a true north."

Less than two weeks later, Hunter sent an email to his Delaware contacts letting them know that Vice President Biden would be hosting another fundraiser for Person at Wilmington Country Club. One of the people who responded and donated $5,400 to Person's campaign, the max amount, was Robert Buccini, who met with Zhang, Hunter, and Schwerin earlier that summer to discuss Harves. Buccini did not respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment on whether he discussed Harves with Person at the fundraiser.

Hunter Biden sent out an email to dozens of his Delaware friends and business contacts in September 2016, inviting them to a fundraiser for Fran Person's House campaign at the Wilmington Country Club. He also noted then-Vice President Biden was hosting the fundraiser.

Biden would attend at least two more South Carolina campaign events for Person on Nov. 1, 2016 in Sumpter and Rock Hill, which were reported as "Get Out the Vote" rallies. Person, a Democrat, went unopposed in the primary but ended up losing the election to Mulvaney on Nov. 8, 2016.

Fox News Digital reached out to Person's former campaign manager, Joseph Diver, who is currently the chief of staff for vulnerable Rep. Cindy Axne, D-Iowa, and his former finance director, Jennifer (Franklyn) Burnett, asking if Person took a leave of absence from Harves during the campaign, whether Hunter or Schwerin were acting on Person's behalf at Harves during the campaign, or if Zhang attended any campaign events or communicated with Person during the campaign, but they did not respond. It does not appear that they were involved with any Harves-related discussions based on emails reviewed by Fox News Digital.

HUNTER BIDEN ASSOCIATE VISITED OBAMA-BIDEN WHITE HOUSE 7 TIMES AFTER BECOMING HEAD OF COMPANY WITH CCP TIES

Harves Century Group, the China-based entity owned by Zhang's parents and managed by his mom, is backed by the state-owned China Development Bank. It is the parent company of multiple U.S.-based Harves affiliates, including Harves Investment Group (HIG), Harves Sports, and Harves Global Entertainment, where Person is now the CEO, according to his now-deleted LinkedIn.

FOX Business previously reported that Hunter's private equity firm, Rosemont Seneca Advisors, held financial interests in multiple Harves affiliates, including a 5 percent stake with Harves Amusement Parks and ownership in Harves Sports and Entertainment, both of which fall under the D.C.-based Harves Group. Person previously told Fox News Digital that "Hunter Biden, Rosemont Seneca Advisors or any affiliate or associate have never held any equity in any Harves affiliated company," but when asked to elaborate in the most recent media inquiry, he did not respond.

Hunter Biden's business partner, Eric Schwerin, sent him an email in March 2017 listing Hunter's LLC's ownership interests and project descriptions, which included multiple Harves affiliates.

The earliest email that Fox News Digital has reviewed involving Hunter Biden and the Harves Group dates back to July 2015, when Person, then the president of the Harves Group, invited him to meet Zhang and his family in China. Neither Person or Zhang have been implicated in any professional or criminal misconduct.

"Bo Zhang and his family would host us," Person wrote in the email. "They are a great family with great respect and relationships in China. Bo graduated from American Univ and is in his late 20's, and his parents own Harves Century Group of Shenyang - which is a top tier private chinese real estate development firm."

Person's email went on to say that Zhang is "being groomed to take over his family’s dynasty" and that the trip wasn’t about selling Biden on anything, but more about "grow[ing] that relationship," adding that "there will be plenty of big things that come down the road that we can work on."

In July 2015, Fran Person invited Hunter Biden to China for a week to meet Bo Zhang and his family, noting that Bo Zhang was being "groomed to take over his family's dynasty" in China.

"His mom is actually the Chairman of the company, which is unique in China," Person wrote. "They are very private, and wouldn't tell anyone about you coming. Bo's father-in-law is actually the Governor of Hainan (Chinese Hawaii), which he doesn't advertise at all."

Zhang's father-in-law, Liu Cigui, was later elected as the Communist Party secretary of the Hainan province in 2017.

He is considered a "loyalist" of Chinese President Xi Jinping.

It does not appear that Hunter could make the China trip that Person had pitched him on in 2015. However, multiple emails reviewed by Fox News Digital showed that Person and Zhang had met with Hunter and Schwerin on numerous occasions after that email and discussed Harves-related business opportunities.

The investigation into Hunter’s tax affairs, which began in 2018, has reached a "critical stage," a source told Fox News Digital last month. Officials are looking into whether to charge the first son with various tax violations and possible foreign lobbying violations.

A source previously told Fox News Digital that the federal grand jury looking into Hunter’s business dealings wrapped up its latest term in late June but said no charges have been filed. Hunter has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

Fox News Digital reached out to Hunter's attorney in the investigation, Christopher Clark, asking whether Hunter had an arrangement with Person to fill in for him at Harves during the campaign, or whether Hunter still has equity in any of the Harves affiliates, but he did not respond.

Person, Zhang, Schwerin, and the White House also did not respond to a series of questions from Fox News Digital.

The Destroyer of the Republic - Robert Spencer

by Robert Spencer

Rogue Attorney General Garland admits he ordered the raid on Trump’s home.

It strains credulity, but given Old Joe Biden’s deteriorating mental state, it doesn’t really strain credulity all that much: the Biden White House insists that it only found out about the twilight-of-the-republic raid on Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home when the establishment media did, and not a moment before. So if the alleged president didn’t order this banana-republic raid, who did? On Thursday, Biden’s hyper-partisan Attorney General Merrick Garland, who has done so much to turn the Justice Department and the FBI into weapons of partisan politics, admitted that it was he who “personally approved” the raid, and as he surveys what he hath wrought, the heightened distrust of the authorities among ordinary Americans, and the growing fear of an out-of-control Leftist authoritarian federal government, he isn’t one bit sorry, either. Apparently destroying the republic and imposing upon the American people a Leftist autocracy that is above the law was what he wanted to do all along.

Garland announced: “I personally approved the decision to seek a search warrant in this matter.” In acknowledging this, he gives us new confirmation that Old Joe Biden is non compos mentis, and is not the man in charge. The Trump raid was a watershed event in American history, representing the complete breakdown of the mutual respect that the competing factions in American political life have always had for one another, and the conversion of what are supposed to be politically neutral law enforcement organizations into weapons of partisan politics.

Many on the Left, including even House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Smirnoff) have been crowing that the raid represents some sort of triumph of what they always refer to as “our democracy,” and since they usually use the phrase “our democracy” to refer to total Leftist hegemony in the American government, in that sense they’re correct: the raid was indeed a triumph for the Leftist elites. Pelosi and co. insist that it shows that “no one is above the law,” an argument that would have more force if Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Hunter Biden, the FBI’s Russian Collusion hoaxers, and a host of other Leftist lawbreakers were behind bars today. But they aren’t. The only people who are wasting away in solitary confinement and having their lives destroyed by a rapacious and relentless Leftist legal machine are some ordinary Americans who went to Washington on Jan. 6, 2021 to protest a stolen election and found themselves invited into the Capitol by police.

The two-tier justice system is in full operation today; Leftists skate no matter how serious their crimes, and conservative patriots suffer grievously for the most trivial of offenses. The apotheosis of that two-tier system was the raid on Trump’s home, which was supposedly because he had classified documents he shouldn’t have had, you know, like Hillary when she deleted 33,000 emails including classified material that was unlawfully on her private server. But Garland, who is so aboveboard and honest and impartial that he sicced the FBI on parents protesting against the woke agenda at school board meetings, declared piously that he did “not take such a decision lightly.”

This unctuous apparatchik reminded Americans that the search warrant “was authorized by a federal court upon the required finding of probable cause.” He didn’t mention, of course, that the judge who authorized the warrant was an Obama donor and Jeff Epstein’s old lawyer. But this out-of-control authoritarian did go heavy on the disingenuous flag-waving: “Faithful adherence to the rule of law is the bedrock principle of the Justice Department, of our democracy. Upholding the rule of law means applying the law evenly without fear or favor. Under my watch, that is precisely what the Justice Department is doing.”

No. If Garland’s Justice Department were applying the law evenly without fear or favor, it would have indicted Hunter, and Hillary, and the rest. Hunter may be looking at a slap on the wrist before too long, just to keep up appearances. But the reality is that Garland has crossed a line, a very important line, and even Barack Obama’s top advisor David Axelrod is full of foreboding. Axelrod said that Garland “has crossed a rubicon here — if you are going to prosecute a former President of the United States, you’d better be pretty darn sure that you have an open-and-shut case.”

Right. And Garland doesn’t, but there is no assurance that this arrogant, dishonest party hack will not manufacture one. If we had an actual American president, Garland would already have been fired for this. Instead, don’t be surprised if he gets the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Questions grow about Trump raid after revelation of grand jury subpoena, extensive cooperation - John Solomon

by John Solomon

Trump got spring grand jury subpoena, gathered documents, turned them over and allowed agents to search storage locker the FBI later raided.

Two months before his Florida home was raided by the FBI, former President Donald Trump secretly received a grand jury subpoena for classified documents belonging to the National Archives, and voluntarily cooperated by turning over responsive evidence, surrendering security surveillance footage and allowing federal agents and a senior Justice Department lawyer to tour his private storage locker, according to a half dozen people familiar with the incident.

While the cooperation was mostly arranged by his lawyers, Trump personally surprised the DOJ National Security Division prosecutor and three FBI agents who came to his Mar-a-Lago compound on June 3, greeting them as they came to pick up a small number of documents compliant with the subpoena, the sources told Just the News, speaking only on condition of anonymity because the visit was covered by grand jury secrecy.

The subpoena requested any remaining documents Trump possessed with any classification markings, even if they involved photos of foreign leaders, correspondence or mementos from his presidency.

Secret Service agents were also present and facilitated the visit, officials said.

Trump signaled his full cooperation, telling the agents and prosecutor, "Look, whatever you need let us know," according to two eyewitnesses. The federal team was surprised by the president's invitation and asked for an immediate favor: to see the 6-foot-by-10-foot storage locker where his clothes, shoes, documents and mementos from his presidency were stored at the compound.

Given Trump's instruction, the president's lawyers complied and allowed the search by the FBI before the entourage left cordially. Five days later, DOJ officials sent a letter to Trump's lawyers asking them to secure the storage locker with more than the lock they had seen. The Secret Service installed a more robust security lock to comply.

Around the same time, the Trump Organization, which owns Mar-a-Lago, received a request for surveillance video footage covering the locker and volunteered the footage to federal authorities, sources disclosed.

The disclosure Wednesday to Just the News raised immediate new questions in legal and congressional circles about the necessity for the subsequent raid, including whether the judge who approved the warrant knew of the earlier cooperation.

“The more we learn, the more confusing this gets,” George Washington University Law professor Jonathan Turley told Fox News program Hannity. “….Did they relay this history to the magistrate? That, according to these sources, that the president had cooperated.

”I mean, the idea that he was subject to a subpoena, complied with a subpoena, didn't challenge it, voluntarily showed the storage room to the agents, followed their advice, secured it to meet their demands. All of that is hardly a basis for saying now we need to send in 40 FBI agents on a on a raid,” he added. “I mean, if the subpoena worked the first time, then presumably a second subpoena would work the second time if there were remaining documents.”

Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., told Just the News that Trump mentioned to her Tuesday night the prior cooperation, and that she viewed the raid as an effort at nullifying his future run for the presidency in 2024 if he chooses.

“Look, this is exactly what people, the public is seeing: a two-tiered justice system. This is impeachment 4,” she said, citing Trump‘s prior two impeachments and the January 6 hearings that preceded the raid.

The flurry of cooperation in June came months after Trump had already returned about 15 boxes of documents, many of them classified, at the request of the National Archives. Government officials have said the documents were mistakenly boxed up by the General Services Administration along with Trump's personal possessions from the White House and shipped to Mar-a -Lago.

After the subpoena was delivered in late May, federal authorities said they suspected there were more classified materials still left at Mar-a-Lago, and arranged the June 3 visit.

After mid-June, the government had no other official contacts with the president's lawyers until agents showed up unannounced on Monday and executed the search warrant, ousting the president's lawyers and staff and spending nine hours collecting evidence. Sources told Just the News they collected about 12 boxes of evidence.

U.S. officials who confirmed the June 3 voluntary visit and subpoena compliance, refused to say whether U.S. Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart was apprised of the full extent of Trump's compliance when he was asked to sign the unprecedented search warrant last Friday.

The FBI then waited three days after getting the judge's approval before executing the warrant, one of many oddities in the timetable.

Some officials said the extra time was used to assemble a team to raid Mar-a-Lago in the most incognito manner so the public wouldn't be alerted and while the former president was out of town.

The officials told Just the News the search warrant was sought after the FBI obtained some witness information and other evidence suggesting some classified documents may have still remained on the property after June, stored in locations such as a private safe Trump had in his residence, and that some of the storage locations may have been accessed in 2022.

The new revelations came the same day that new questions arose about Reinhart, the judge in the case.

Just the News obtained a court document showing that Reinhart — just six weeks before signing the warrant — recused himself from Trump's lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and other Democrats in the Russia collusion scandal, citing concerns he couldn't be impartial.

Reinhart, appointed in 2018 as a federal magistrate in West Palm Beach, Fla., filed the recusal document on June 22, a few weeks after presiding over the start of the civil litigation.

"The undersigned Magistrate Judge, to whom the above-styled cause has been assigned, hereby recuses himself and refers the case to the Clerk of Court for reassignment pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 455," Reinhart wrote in his order of recusal in the Trump v. Clinton case.

You can read the document here:

The statute that the magistrate cited for his recusal states in part that a judge "shall disqualify himself in any proceeding in which his impartiality might reasonably be questioned" and then describes the various circumstances that could trigger such concerns.

They include "a personal bias or prejudice concerning a party, or personal knowledge of disputed evidentiary facts" or prior work as a lawyer for a party involved in the case.

Reinhart's order did not specify the conflict or source of the concern prompting his recusal.

Trump's lawsuit accuses Clinton, Democrat allies and current and former government officials of engaging in a racketeering conspiracy to falsely portray Trump as colluding with Russia during the 2016 election. The sweeping nature of the suit involves numerous parties and public figures.

The recusal filing emerges as numerous media reports have surfaced about the magistrate's prior work, including donations before he was judge to President Barack Obama and Jeb Bush and work for figures associated with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Daily Wire also raised questions about Reinhart's impartiality toward Trump, reporting that in a 2017 Facebook social post — a year before he was named a magistrate — he challenged the 45th president's moral character after Trump attacked the late Rep. John Lewis, a civil rights icon.

"I generally ignore the President-elect's tweets, but not this one," Reinhart posted, according to the Daily Wire. "John Lewis arguably has done more to 'make America great' than any living citizen. Last August, I took my son to the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma so he could understand the kind of courage and sacrifice required to live in a democratic society. John Lewis embodies that spirit. Although I've never met him, he is one of my heroes.

"Thank you, Robert Reich, for saying what many of us feel, 'John Lewis is the conscience of America. Donald Trump doesn't have the moral stature to kiss John Lewis's feet.'

"Or, as Joseph Welch said to Joseph McCarthy, 'At long last, have you left no sense of decency?'"

The US Must Ditch Its Incoherent Policy on Taiwan - Con Coughlin

by Con Coughlin

[I]f Washington, as the Biden administration keeps insisting, is really serious about defending Taiwan from Chinese aggression, then it should get off the fence and abandon its confused policy of "strategic ambiguity" in favour of one that will deter future acts of Chinese aggression against this freedom-loving island state.

  • Russia's invasion of Ukraine, moreover, provides a timely illustration of what can happen when the West does not take sufficient action to safeguard the security of its allies.

  • In February, for example, the US approved a $100 million support package to improve the island's missile defences, which were designed to improve its Patriot missile defence system. But bureaucratic wrangling in Washington means Taipei has still to receive the support it needs.

  • Consequently, now that Beijing has provided the West with its military template for intimidating Taiwan, this has provided the US and its allies with an indication of the military defences, such as anti-missile, anti-aircraft and anti-warship missiles, to thwart any future Chinese attack.

  • So if Washington, as the Biden administration keeps insisting, is really serious about defending Taiwan from Chinese aggression, then it should get off the fence and abandon its confused policy of "strategic ambiguity" in favour of one that will deter future acts of Chinese aggression against this freedom-loving island state.

China's extreme military response to Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan sends an unequivocal message to the US that it can no longer sustain its policy of "strategic ambiguity." China's extreme military response to Nancy Pelosi's visit to Taiwan sends an unequivocal message to the US that it can no longer sustain its policy of "strategic ambiguity."

At a time when the very existence of the democratic island state is under threat from China's communist rulers, what Taipei badly needs is unconditional declarations of support from its Western allies, not the diplomatic equivalent of sitting on the fence, which essentially sums up the Biden administration's inadequate response to date.

Although the Chinese military committed numerous violations to Taiwan's territorial integrity in the days immediately following Pelosi's visit, the Biden administration shows no sign of abandoning the policy of "strategic ambiguity" that has defined Washington's approach to the Taiwan issue for decades.

The origins of this policy date back to US President Richard Nixon's infamous visit to China in 1972, which eventually led Washington officially recognising the communist regime in Beijing. By doing so the US abrogated the mutual defence pact it had signed with Taiwan in 1954.

Even though Congress tried to repair the damage by passing the Taiwan Relations Act in 1979, Washington technically remains under no obligation to come to Taiwan's defence, despite its having agreed to provide Taiwan with "arms of a defensive character". That is pretty much how the arrangement has stood ever since, with the US offering vague offers of military support for Taiwan without making any concrete commitments that might upset China's communist rulers.

The obvious shortcomings of this policy were highlighted in May when President Joe Biden, during a visit to Japan, caused confusion by claiming that the US would use military force to defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese attack.

Within 24 hours the president's remarks had been "clarified" by National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, who insisted that there had been no change from America's commitment to the "One China" policy, which holds that the People's Republic of China is the sole legal government of China while acknowledging that Washington maintains unofficial relations with the people of Taiwan, the complicated diplomatic formula first conceived by the Nixon administration.

The extreme nature of China's military response to the Pelosi visit, though, means that, if the US really is serious about safeguarding Taiwan's independence, it must ditch its incoherent policy of strategic ambiguity, and instead concentrate its efforts on providing Taipei with the military support it needs to defend itself against future acts of Chinese aggression -- and deterrence, deterrence, deterrence. That was the main ingredient missing in the run-up to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, and precisely what invited Putin's aggression.

Pelosi may stand accused of grandstanding over her visit to Taiwan, but no one should deny her right to visit Taiwan.

In the free world, people should be able to come and go as they please without fear of intimidation by freedom-hating despots.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine, moreover, provides a timely illustration of what can happen when the West does not take sufficient action to safeguard the security of its allies.

In February, for example, the US approved a $100 million support package to improve the island's missile defences, which were designed to improve its Patriot missile defence system. But bureaucratic wrangling in Washington means Taipei has still to receive the support it needs.

This type of administrative prevarication must change if Taiwan is to receive the military support it requires to defy Chinese aggression.

From America's perspective, one of the advantages of China's recent demonstration of military strength against Taiwan is that it provides an indication of how Beijing would set about isolating Taiwan if it came to open conflict. It is well-known in Western military circles that China, despite the enormous investment it has made in recent years in its military, simply does not have the ability to launch a military invasion to seize control of the island.

China's experience, moreover, of the challenges posed by modern-day warfare is extremely limited compared with the US and its allies. The last time China was directly involved in military conflict was the Korean war in the 1950s; its military badly lacks the combat experience to conduct a successful invasion of another country, especially one surrounded by sea.

The fact, therefore, that China's military intimidation of Taiwan this month essentially consisted of deploying warplanes and warships and firing missiles indicates that, in the event of Beijing launching military action against the island, it would mainly consist of seeking to blockade Taiwan, rather than launching an amphibious landing operation, which would be an enormous undertaking and one that would most likely end in disaster for China.

Consequently, now that Beijing has provided the West with its military template for intimidating Taiwan, this has provided the US and its allies with an indication of the military defences, such as anti-missile, anti-aircraft and anti-warship missiles, to thwart any future Chinese attack.

So if Washington, as the Biden administration keeps insisting, is really serious about defending Taiwan from Chinese aggression, then it should get off the fence and abandon its confused policy of "strategic ambiguity" in favour of one that will deter future acts of Chinese aggression against this freedom-loving island state.

Not a Single Dem Senator Voted to Define Pregnancy as Unique to Biological Females - Robert Spencer

by Robert Spencer

The Left's war on reality.

If insanity involves an inability or unwillingness to accept and deal with ineluctable realities, then every last Democrat in the United States Senate, all fifty of them, is insane and has no business being anywhere near the levers of power. This was made clear yet again on Sunday, when the entire bloc of those who think of themselves as our intellectual and moral superiors voted against recognizing a fact that has been obvious since the dawn of recorded time.

This latest attempt to call the Democrats out of their delusions and willful ignorance was the brainchild of Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.). According to a report in the Washington Examiner Sunday, Rubio “introduced the measure to the sweeping budget reconciliation bill in a marathon voting session in which Republicans introduced dozens of provisions that don’t have the votes to be enacted but force Democrats to take a stance on contentious issues.” But they failed to bell the cat on this one; the Democrats refused to budge on their insane new dogma that Joe Rogan or Arnold Schwarzenegger is just as likely to end up in the family way (as they used to call it when families weren’t exercises in neo-colonialist white privilege) as Michelle Duggar.

Rubio enunciated a fact that would never have had to be explained on the Senate floor, had common sense remained a characteristic of most of our nation’s august legislators: “The only people capable of being pregnant are biological females.” He (if I may be so presumptuous as to assume Rubio’s gender) added, “And therefore, I think federal pregnancy programs should be limited to biological females, and that’s what this would do.” Obviously, the Democrat solons couldn’t go along with something as extreme as that.

Rubio gave it his best shot, however, noting, “A few minutes ago, I looked back across 5,500 years of human history, and so far, every single human pregnancy has been biological female. And therefore, the only thing I’m trying to do is make sure that federal law is clear, since every pregnancy that’s ever existed has been in a biological female, and that our federal laws reflect that pregnancy programs are available to the only people who are capable of getting pregnant: biological females.” Why, that’s racist! Or something! Whatever it is, it’s bad!

All 50 of the Senate’s Republicans demonstrated that they can safely drive automobiles and be trusted with sharp objects when they voted for Rubio’s definition. However, Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) countered Rubio’s salvo of clear thinking and common sense by accusing him of using his proposed amendment to try to stop the Orwellianly-named Inflation Reduction Act. She also took the opportunity to complain that the dastardly Republicans were not content to interfere with the Democrats’ fantasies, but were also daring to legislate against one of the premier sacraments of their religion, abortion.

“This is,” thundered the righteous Murray, “a procedural attempt by Republicans to derail our ability to get this bill across the finish line and deliver for families in our country.” How passing a bill that will raise nearly everyone’s taxes is delivering for families is a mystery she did not deign to explain. “You know, it’s actually outrageous,” Murray raged, “that Republicans are trying to talk about pregnancy when in this country right now, they are forcing women to stay pregnant no matter their circumstances, pushing cruel and extreme abortion bans.” Actually, in ordinary circumstances, there is a very simple way that women can make sure they don’t become pregnant and thus never have to kill a child or even consider doing so. But Murray and the Democrats don’t want to talk about that.

“Republicans,” Murray continued, “are now resorting to tactics like this to distract from the fact that they don’t have any serious concerns for working so hard to oppose this bill that lowers costs, lowers emissions, and lowers the deficit.”

It does none of those things, any more than anyone who is not a biological female can become pregnant. But Democrats have long ago freed themselves from such mind-forged manacles as the idea that one’s view of the world must correspond to the way the world actually is. These Senators are veritable gods: they will remake the world the way they want it, filled with pregnant men, big government measures that lower taxes, and open borders that fill the nation with rainbows of diversity and multiculturalism. What, you hidebound bigot, could possibly go wrong?

Greenpeace's Patrick Moore and the hardcore evidence against climate change myths - Alicia Colon

by Alicia Colon

The co-founder of Greenpeace is no environmental wacko promoting the hysteria of global warming.

One of the most interesting persons I interviewed for the New York Sun was Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace.

I had mistakenly expected him to be one of those left-wing environmental wackos, but he was anything but.

He had left Greenpeace after realizing that the group was more interested in social machinations than in helping humanity.  He was also the only one in Greenpeace at the time with a scientific background.

I recently watched him on YouTube discussing his book, Fake Invisible Catastrophes and Threats of Doom, and it is an eye-opener to anyone who still believes in the global warming hoax.

The real question is, how did anyone ever believe that Al Gore, who is not a scientist, had any credibility behind his monumentally successful film, An Inconvenient Truth

It has always seemed to me the result of the dumbing down of America and the insidiousness of the academic community.  Anyone with half a brain and the ability to reason would see through the massive holes in the film's premise, yet public schools were adding it to their curricula.  Al Gore went on to become a mega-multi-millionaire snake oil salesman selling carbon credits to morons.

Mr. Moore's book not only documents the hardcore evidence that global warming is a not a threat to the planet, but argues that we are essentially still in an ice age.  While he covers climate change, he also debunks all the other lies we've been fed by environmental charlatans such as Gore.

Do you really think the Great Barrier Reef is dying?  Did you fall for the nonsense that the polar bear population is almost extinct?  When filmmaker Sir David Attenborough was confronted about his film depicting walruses plunging off a cliff due to what he claimed was climate change, he answered that he was just a filmmaker.  In fact, those walruses he filmed were being chased by a horde of polar bears that hunted and killed them for food.  So many lies, and why are we being told so many fake tales?  The answer is money and power.  Greening is expensive and also useless.

I was so proud of President Trump when he took us out of the Paris accord on climate change, and as soon as he did, other nations opted out as well.  Unfortunately, President Biden signed an executive order as soon as he could in January 2021, and the "greening" of America has continued unfettered by the truth.  So here it is.

As Mr. Moore's book confirms, CO2 levels on Earth today are below what they have been in the millions of years the planet has existed.  CO2 levels are being put back in the atmosphere thanks to human existence, not killing the planet, but saving it.  Carbon dioxide (CO2) is used as a refrigerant, in fire extinguishers, for inflating life rafts and life jackets, for blasting coal, for foaming rubber and plastics, and for promoting the growth of plants in greenhouses.  It is vital to life.

When did we start hearing about greenhouse gas emissions as if they signaled the end of the Earth?  Gloom-and-doom tales have been fed to gullible audiences since the 1960s, with Hollywood shelling out disaster films about nuclear apocalypse.

Most of these were hilarious, like The Blob, or giant mutant rabbits and insects, but since the global warming scenario hit, an even more ridiculous genre emerged: if we don't start recycling and stop driving fossil fuel cars, we're all going to die.

The film 2012, which came out in 2009, was about a series of global catastrophes that threatened to annihilate mankind.  The date was supposed to be the date of a Mayan prophecy signifying when the world would end.

Well, there was no such Mayan prophecy, and we are still here, so who spreads such lies, and why do we pay attention to nonsense like this?  How about that 2004 film The Day after Tomorrow, which dealt with a new ice age causing a tsunami storm surge in the Atlantic Ocean that quickly inundates Manhattan?  I only know the plots because I read the reviews, but I never watched such waste of time movies.

If any reader is serious about learning the truth instead of being scared to death, I highly recommend you read Mr. Moore's excellent book, which is instantly available on Kindle.

Then sit back, take a deep breath, and finally relax.
