Backfire: FBI's ransacking of Trump home is going over badly with the public —poll - Monica Showalter

With a bad political stench spreading all through the Biden administration, see how they scurry...

Just as Joe Biden thought he had the best news ever for the public, claiming inflation is now "zero," in come poll numbers showing that the FBI raid on President Trump's Mar-a-Lago home has a bad stench to the public.

According to PJMedia's Stacey Lennox:

According to a new poll from Convention of States and Trafalgar Group, the majority of Independents, 53.9%, believe Trump's political enemies are behind the FBI Raid. They join 76.7% of Republicans who hold the same view. The two groups are also aligned on enthusiasm to vote based on the FBI raid. The spectacle increased the motivation to vote for 83.3% of Republicans and 71.7% of Independents.

Nearly three-quarters of Trump-Deranged Democrats believe the raid was the impartial justice system at work. The raid did not create as much enthusiasm to vote among Democrats, with only 55.2% saying it made a difference.

"Independent and Republican voters are united in their outrage about this unprecedented and tragic event in American history. It's clear to voters that the FBI raid is designed to punish the primary political enemy of the regime in power," said Mark Meckler, President of Convention of States. "This gestapo-style injustice has created a voting surge that is so significant, the polling doesn't even begin to reflect what is coming from grassroots voters in November,"

That's a disastrous result.  And it's not as if Joe Biden was doing well with independents, who are largely negative on him based on his failures to create a good economy, run a credible foreign policy, or protect the border.  He's already underwater with them on those matters.

Democrats clearly realize that the public is on to them in their political persecution of an opponent they'd do anything to stop from running for office in 2024.

So like rats, they're scurrying.

They're pretending they know nothing about this, even though a raid of this kind is unprecedented, and normally would require the approval of the highest offices in the land.

Instead of claiming ownership, they are doing all they can to claim that Joe Biden and his attorney general, Merrick Garland, knew nothing about it.

Garland, for one, is hiding:

Lennox observes that the White House spin control machine is on full throttle:

In an exclusive for Newsweek, "anonymous law enforcement sources" are trying to convince America that Attorney General Merrick Garland did not know about the raid. And that there was a confidential source.

The raid on Mar-a-Lago was based largely on information from an FBI confidential human source, one who was able to identify what classified documents former President Trump was still hiding and even the location of those documents, two senior government officials told Newsweek.

The entire piece is ridiculous. If the "confidential human source" told the agency precisely what President Trump had and where it was, why were they there for close to nine hours? Do we really believe that there were classified documents in Melania's underwear drawer? The entire story reads like something out of the Babylon Bee.

It's got to be bad for them out there, with voters on to them.  As Abraham Lincoln supposedly said, "You can fool all the people some of the time and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time."

We've reached that last stage now as some low-level magistrate with a skeevy past linked to Jeffrey Epstein can sign off on an FBI raid of the president's personal residence, opening the gate for anyone to raid any president any time, which will become the standard.

It's not justice by any means.  It's Hugo Chávez–style thugcraft, dictatorship in democracy's clothing, and the public knows it.

That's got to be unsettling for anyone who up until now thought the U.S. was above that.  The obvious reflection of it is there in the polls.

But don't expect Joe Biden, a mean, vindictive, vicious, senile old man who's controlled by malevolent creatures such as Susan Rice, Jill Biden, and Ron Klain to take any responsibility for it.  He's Basement Joe, and he likes to hide.

Having a lot of corruption and illegality all over his own record, Biden knows that the only way to stop Trump is to jail him first.  He doesn't care if he sets the entire legal system on fire to do it.

But it's backfiring badly.  All this jump-the-shark raid is doing is making the public despise him more.

He must be confident he can steal the next election just as he did the last one for such a result with the public to be disregarded.

Or else it was ignorance, living in a swamp bubble and not knowing a thing about how foolable the voters really are.

There is some evidence for that, too.

According to Hot Air's John Sexton:

The story also says the raid was intentionally timed to occur when Trump would not be there. Apparently the FBI thought this would lower the profile of the raid. But the DOJ source admits this didn't work as planned. His explanation here is basically we're not politically corrupt just dumb.

Whatever it was, the Biden administration has set itself on fire with the lighter fuel they had intended to use to set the justice system on fire.

One can only hope this reaction is the result:

One can only hope that this is the beginning of the end for them.
