The attack is part of an ongoing bombardment of Russia's oil infrastructure, which has created a fuel crisis in the fifth year of the country's invasion of Ukraine.

 

Ukrainian drones struck an oil terminal in St. Petersburg on Saturday, according to Russian officials. 

The attack is part of an ongoing bombardment of Russia's oil infrastructure, the Associated Press reported, which has created a fuel crisis in the fifth year of the country's invasion of Ukraine. 

Russia shot down 72 Ukrainian drones over St. Petersburg and surrounding region. 

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called the attack "long-range sanctions" against Russia and said a military target near the city was also hit.
