Iran and U.S. plan to hold new talks Monday, Trump said, but Iran said no talks are planned - Kevin Killough

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei told reporters that Iran has no plans to host foreign delegations or send negotiators abroad.

 

The United States and Iran plan to hold new talks Monday, according to President Donald Trump, who said the regime was resuming negotiations after he called off new strikes against the country. 

Iran said Monday that no talks are being held with the U.S., but it is discussing with Oman a temporary safe route through the Strait of Oman, NBC reported

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei told reporters that Iran has no plans to host foreign delegations or send negotiators abroad. 

Trump said late Saturday that the U.S. is prepared to strike Iran on a level "not seen since World War II," but Iran and other Middle Eastern countries had asked that the U.S. hold off further attacks as negotiations proceed.
