YouTube freezes Palestinian Media Watch’s account after it exposed PA child-terror incitement.
A video bulletin which showed a young Arab girl reciting a poem calling for children to “destroy the Zionist soul” has cost the Palestinian Media Watch (PMW) watchdog group its YouTube account.
PMW reported on Sunday that YouTube “terminated” its account after it exposed a Palestinian Authority (PA) TV broadcast of hate speech in which a young girl called for “vengeance and liberation” and to “smash the oppressor.”
YouTube froze PMW’s account for allegedly violating its Terms of Service, apparently not recognizing that the contents were exposed by the account as opposed to being an expression of the opinions of the account.
The account contains nearly all of PMW’s videos and documentation showing PA and Fatah leaders supporting and promoting terror.
This is not the first time PMW’s account and individual videos have been locked. The worst case was when YouTube shut down PMW’s account in 2010 after PMW posted a video revealing PA double-talk. Each time, YouTube eventually recognized its mistake with the help of many outraged emails from subscribers, and requests directed to YouTube’s management.
According to the PMW report Sunday, the decision to shut down the account “is a blow to the war on terror. This is particularly dangerous now while Israel is still fighting a war against terror.”
PMW is urging anyone with contacts at Google or YouTube to contact them and request that PMW's account be reinstated. Others can send a message to YouTube by clicking the "Send feedback" link at the bottom of YouTube's homepage.
