When all Clinton opponents become “Russian assets.”
“Trump won the election in 2016.”
That was Democrat presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard last Tuesday, one of the few factual statements in the CNN “debate” that was more of an impeachment inquest and socialist shout-out. The studio audience cheered every leftist platitude and call for impeachment but Gabbard’s statement that Trump won the 2016 election brought only stunned silence.
Tulsi Gabbard was saying, in effect, “Hillary Clinton lost the election in 2016,” a clear violation of the Democrat speech code and progressive eschatology. Progressives believe history is on their side, so if the progressive candidate loses it must be due to trickery and theft by the opponent. True to form, dame Clinton has been repeating her claim that she defeated Donald Trump.
“Obviously, I can beat him again,” she recently told PBS, and she was panting for a “rematch.” In that frame of mind, Tulsi Gabbard’s observation that “Trump won the election in 2016” was bound to provoke Clinton, who saw Russia’s evil hand at work.
“I'm not making any predictions,” she told POTUS 44 retread David Plouffe, “but I think they've got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate,” a clear reference to Tulsi Gabbard. “She’s the favorite of the Russians,” Clinton said, “They have a bunch of sites and bots and other ways of supporting her so far.” Plouffe closed out the interview citing Hillary’s “belief that Tulsi Gabbard is going to be a third-party candidate, propped up by Trump and the Russians.”
The former First Lady and Secretary of State cited no evidence for her claim and the Russian bots and such seem to have an existential problem. So no surprise that Clinton’s claim became the new party line for the Democrat-media axis.
“If Tulsi Gabbard runs,” tweeted POTUS 44 UN boss Samantha Power, “it would be a huge windfall for Trump, Assad, Putin, Xi.” For her part, Gabbard noted that the New York Times and CNN were also saying she was a “Russian asset.” This, she said, was “completely despicable,” and it was also entirely predictable that Hillary Clinton would deploy dialectical collusionism.
This comes after former FBI boss Robert Mueller and his squad of Democrat sturmtruppen found zero evidence that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 election. One wonders why the intrepid Mueller did not discover the Russian backing for Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and 2016 Green Party candidate Jill Stein, whom Hillary also charges is a Russian asset. As Mark Thiessen quipped on Fox News, perhaps the former First Lady learned this from Fusion GPS.
After Mueller’s testimony, even, Hillary Clinton claims Trump knows he’s an “illegitimate president.” As the 2016 loser hints at a “rematch,” William Barr and John Durham are investigating those who launched the Russia hoax. As this unfolds, Democrats stage a sequel with the “whistleblower” probe, freighted with eerie similarities.
Under intelligence committee boss Adam Schiff, the Democrats are targeting associates of Trump such as Rudy Giuliani. As with the Mueller probe, this gives the impression of a vast conspiracy, a powerful laxative for the establishment media. The back story of the players is also important.
The vaunted “whistleblower” is a partisan Democrat who worked with Joe Biden and reported hearsay about a conversation by the president anybody can now read. Yet, the intelligence community Inspector General Michael Atkinson took this person seriously. As with Robert Mueller, the establishment media are portraying Atkinson as man of matchless integrity, but as the intrepid Julie Kelly notes at American Greatness, the IG is a multifaceted fellow.
Atkinson was top deputy at the Justice Department “during the very same time that the DOJ was investigating Trump campaign aides and, after the election, incoming administration officials.” In 2016, when James Comey opened a case against the Trump campaign, Atkinson was named senior counsel to John Carlin, head of the National Security Division and Robert Mueller’s chief of staff when he ran the FBI, as well as a 2013 NSD appointment of POTUS 44. The former Barry Soetoro is the president who told Russian prime minister Dimtry Medvedev he would have “more flexibility” after the 2012 election.
As Kelly also noted, Lisa Page testified that “Carlin regularly was briefed by former deputy FBI Director Andy McCabe on the Trump-Russia collusion probe.” So no surprise that instead of sending the letters about the whistleblower to the Senate Intelligence Committee, Atkinson notified Schiff, “the same lawmaker who has lied to the American people for three years about evidence of Russian collusion.”
The vaunted “whistleblower” and the IG are Deep State partisans. The Ukraine probe is basically the same crew deploying bogus charges in a quest to remove a duly elected president. As Tulsi Gabbard confirmed, “Trump won the election in 2016.” Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election but now claims that presidential hopeful Gabbard, who joined the U.S. military after 9/11, is a “Russian asset.”
As Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton was eager to give the Russians whatever they wanted. Now the presidential loser unleashes the strongest surge of McCarthyism in decades. Gabbard tweeted that Hillary is the “embodiment of corruption” and on Friday Tulsi told Tucker Carlson “I stand against everything she represents.”
Carlson wanted to know if Hillary will enter the 2020 race. “I don’t know,” Gabbard said. As the president who won the election in 2016 says, we’ll see what happens.
