Left-Wing Organizer Charged in U.S. Capitol Riot - Matthew Vadum

 by Matthew Vadum

Is John Earle Sullivan just one of many radical mob-inciters?

The charging of a young man associated with Antifa and Black Lives Matter with cheerleading the mob violence at the United States Capitol that disrupted and delayed the recent congressional certification of the presidential election, raises disturbing questions about radical leftist involvement in the unrest.

Does this mean that the civil disturbance on Capitol Hill January 6, executed by people carrying pro-Trump paraphernalia, was some kind of a so-called false flag operation?

More investigation is needed but it wouldn’t be the first time Democrats have stirred up crowds in an effort to provoke violence for political purposes.

Thanks to the fine work of James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas, we know from undercover videos that Hillary Clinton operatives Robert Creamer and Scott Foval sent agents provocateur into campaign rallies for Donald Trump in 2016. Their agents baited and harassed Trump rally attendees until they fought back with their fists while the cameras were rolling. The idea was to help cement the leftist media fantasy that Trump supporters were all lowlife knuckle-dragging fascist thugs.

“It doesn’t matter what the friggin’ legal and ethics people say, we need to win this motherfucker.” Foval adds in one video, “we’re starting anarchy here.”

The Clinton campaign “is fully in it,” Creamer, convicted felon and husband of U.S. Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-Ill.), confirms on hidden camera. “Hillary knows through the chain of command what’s going on.”

Which brings us to John Earle Sullivan, born July 18, 1994, who was arrested January 14, 8 days after the disturbance at the Capitol induced mass hysteria among the political class and led to President Donald Trump being impeached at lightning-speed –for absolutely nothing— for the second time.

This wasn’t Sullivan’s first time using violence for leftist ends.

At one of those mostly peaceful protests in Provo, Utah, a man got shot.

“John Sullivan was an organizer of the protest,” Deseret News reported July 13 last year, quoting court documents.

“He organized the protest without obtaining a permit. He recorded several hours of the protest and in the recordings he is seen kicking vehicles and threatening drivers. Sullivan is also seen directing protesters to block intersections.”

Regarding last week’s leftist sacrament, Sullivan, who has been arrested in his home state of Utah, was charged by complaint in federal court in the District of Columbia “with one count of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, one count of violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and one count of interfering with law enforcement engaged in the lawful performance of their official duties incident to and during the commission of civil disorder,” the U.S. Department of Justice announced January 14.

Sullivan has admitted he was not a Trump supporter, according to Salt Lake City NBC affiliate KSL, but acknowledged being a Black Lives Matter supporter.

He denied being a member of Antifa, which is presumably what an Antifa member dumb enough to record his crimes on video and facing years of imprisonment would say, especially when the current president of the United States considers it be a terrorist group.

Like a narcotics purchaser or a kiddie porn enthusiast who got caught, he artfully claimed merely to be some kind of journalist doing First Amendment-protected research as he waded into the crowd.

But he’s no Larry Grathwohl infiltrating the bad guys; he’s more like phony journalist Walter Duranty, a publicist and spin doctor for the bad guys.

"If people are saying I'm Antifa, as far as a terrorist organization, I'm not," Sullivan said. "Am I anti-fascist? We all are anti-fascist. And that's what we should all strive for being. I have my own organization, Insurgence USA, and that's what it is for. That's really what it is."

He said he documented the rally near the Washington Monument as it “migrated over to the Capitol.”

"There were all of these people just listening to Trump, and then they just marched," Sullivan said. "It's not like a new group joined, another group came. They literally came from the MAGA protest, where Trump was, and went over there. There was no Antifa."

Sullivan said he was present on the National Mall to report and that what he did there was merely to maintain his cover – “part of blending in, so I don’t get beat up.”

But then Sullivan slipped up, telling The Epoch Times he had to go undercover at the Trump rally because he’s “known in the activism community” as part of Antifa.

“I’m not Antifa. There’s no organization that is Antifa,” he said, employing the standard linguistic dodge popular in Antifa circles that posits Antifa is an idea, not an organization.

Even so, the distinction between Black Lives Matter and Antifa is somewhere between thin and nonexistent, as U.S. Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.), a member of the AOC-led House voting bloc known as The Squad, acknowledged last year.

In August 2020, Pressley suggested the two movements were essentially one and the same when she said “the Black Lives Matter activists that are today called Antifa” were “called communists” in the 1960s.

Either Sullivan is some species of communist militant, or he really, really enjoys playing one online.

“An armed revolution is the only way to bring about change effectively,” he wrote in a Dec. 28 tweet, according to The Epoch Times.

On Jan. 2, he wrote in a tweet: “[Expletive] The System – Time To Burn It All Down.  #blm #antifa #burn #[expletive]thesystem #abolishcapitalism #abolishthepolice #acab #[expletive]trump.”

Sullivan is the founder of something called “Insurgence USA,” mentioned above, whose website indicates it began “in 2020 in response to the George Floyd tragedy,” a reference to the Fentanyl-caused death of a career criminal while he was handled roughly in Minneapolis police custody.

It appears the authorities have Sullivan cold.

During the events at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, Sullivan, wearing a bulletproof vest and gas mask, is alleged to have entered the Capitol through a window that had been broken out, pushing past U.S. Capitol Police once inside. The community organizer-videographer who goes by the name Jayden X on YouTube, also allegedly admitted to filming and being depicted in video footage that shows him present, outside of the Speaker’s Lobby within the U.S. Capitol, at the suspicious shooting of Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt by a police officer.

In video footage that Sullivan recorded he can be heard encouraging people to riot.

According to a supporting affidavit by law enforcement, Sullivan said: “There are so many people. Let’s go. This shit is ours! Fuck yeah,” “We accomplished this shit. We did this together. Fuck yeah! We are all a part of this history,” and “Let’s burn this shit down.”

When individuals are climbing a wall to reach a plaza just outside the Capitol building entrance, Sullivan can be heard saying, “You guys are fucking savage. Let’s go!”

Once inside the Capitol building, he can be heard in the video saying, “We gotta get this shit burned,” “it’s our house motherfuckers,” and “we are getting this shit.” He can also be heard telling police officers to stand down. Sullivan said, “you are putting yourself in harm’s way,” “the people have spoken,” and “there are too many people, you gotta stand down, the people out there that tried to do that shit, they got hurt, I saw it, I’m caring about you.”

As some of the people who have entered the Capitol saying that the police are retreating and “giving us the building,” Sullivan can be heard saying, “Haul that motherfucker out this bitch.” He pans his camera to a closed door and can be heard saying, “Why don’t we go in there.” Another person hits the door, prompting Sullivan to say, “That’s what I’m sayin’, break that shit.” Further down the hall, he can be heard saying, “It would be fire if someone had revolutionary music and shit.”

After the unrest subsided, Sullivan gave interviews to various media outlets including CNN and ABC.

Sullivan told law enforcement and media outlets he was present in the Capitol “only to document and report,” according to the affidavit. He claimed to be a journalist but has admitted “that he has no press credentials and the investigation has not revealed any connection between Sullivan and any journalistic organizations.”

Will we ever learn the complete story about what went down on January 6?

Don’t count on the Trump-hating mainstream media to dig deep.
