Following are excerpts from an interview with Egyptian cleric Walid Ismail, which aired on Dream 2 TV on June 24, 2013, and a statement made by Egyptian cleric Mazen Sarsawi, which aired on Amjad TV on June 25:

Interviewer: "You expressed your delight at the killing of [Egyptian Shiite] Sheik Hassan Shehata."
Walid Ismail: "Absolutely."
Interviewer: "By saying so, you might be accused of being one of the killers."
Walid Ismail: "This happiness is shared by the entire Egyptian people."
Another guest: "You claim to know what every single Egyptian feels?!"
