The State Department, Ford Foundation, Palestinian-Americans and Creator of the Americans are funding an anti-Netanyahu campaign.
With
Israeli elections set for March 17, 2015, current polls show a dead
heat between PM Netanyahu’s Likud Party, and the center/left party the
“Zionist Camp,” with the latest polls showing a slight lead for Likud.
Headlines
– rightfully – are blaring about the foreign intervention of funders
including The State Department, a slew of extreme left-wing foundations,
including the Ford Foundation, and celebrities including Joel Fields,
the creator of the hit-TV Show The Americans, all working on the
campaign which is supposedly focused on electing anyone - “just not
Bibi.”
Headquartered in New York on West 38th Street, the V15/One Voice campaign saw the Likud Party accuse the non-profit of using “..Millions of dollars funneled from Europe, the U.S. and the New Israel Fund and international factors..” Similarly, on Friday Senator Ted Cruz roared that Obama is funding the anti-Netanyahu campaign and said “..Americans who support Israel deserve to know whether their President is actively working to remove him from office. And, even more troubling, whether U.S. tax dollars are being used to fund the campaign.”
And while it is clear that the State Department has funded One Voice ((PeaceWorks Network Foundation (PWNF) is V 15 is One Voice) –
and Obama has no love for Bibi, what is even more troubling is the
history of this organization. A review of tax filings finds that One
Voice paid $96,000 in 2011 to Howard Sumka. Media reports show that Sumka was instrumental in providing “$1 million in American funding to a Hamas-run university in the Gaza Strip…” when he served as West Bank and Gaza Mission Director for US Aid.
It seems to be a short road from funding Hamas institutions to working to defeat Netanyahu.
Similarly, by reviewing the organization’s 990 tax filings, there are annual donations to The American Task Force on Palestine. Very
few Israelis would choose shared ideology with the American Task Force
On Palestine, whose mission includes, ingenuously, “An
end to the Israeli occupation and the evacuation of all Israeli
settlements”, and “A just solution for the Palestinian refugee problem,
in accordance with international legality and the relevant UN
resolutions.”
An executive board member of One Voice is Samer Hamadeh, who told Bloomberg in 2008 that
"I grew up in Fresno, Calif., I went to Stanford, my parents left
Palestine when they were kids and never looked back. I didn't realize
that I was Palestinian until my teens and not really what that meant
until after 9/11.…”
Do
prospective voters in Israel of “The Zionist Camp” identify with
ideological backing from Hamadeh? One thinks that his radical ideology
is most likely not quite in line with the mainstream voters that Issac
Herzog and Tzipi Livni are chasing.
Alongside
these pro-Palestinian interests are other radical left-wingers,
including The Ford Foundation ($1,018,150 since 2004); Nathan Cummings
Foundation ($375,000 since 2003); Skoll Foundation ($150,000 since
2011); Walter and Elise Haas Fund ($145,000 since 2007); Rockefeller
Brothers Fund Inc. ($100,000 since 2012); and William & Flora
Hewlett Foundation ($25,000 since 2004). These extremists have long
funded dangerous anti-Israel organizations including The New Israel
Fund.
One Voice International’s “Entertainment Council” includes Brad Pitt, Ed Norton, Jason Alexander & Danny Devito, yet
the real head honcho is Joel Fields, whose hit-TV show The Americans
premiered Season Two this week. He is listed on tax returns as a member
of the Board of Directors.
OneVoice
claims to be “an international grassroots movement that amplifies the
voice of mainstream Israelis and Palestinians, empowering them to propel
their elected representatives toward the two-state solution.”
OneVoice plans to have hundreds of people going door-to-door throughout Israel to try and defeat Netanyahu, but
the funds for that effort were funneled through One Voice’s NYC West
38thStreet by a hodge-podge of left-wing extremists, The State
Department, and Palestinian-Americans.
As
CEO of one of America’s largest public relations agencies, I am not
surprised that Obama’s consultants are working for the liberals in
Israel and interfering in a sovereign country's elections. That is
how it works and Israelis should realize that.
Netanyahu
is one damn tough Jew – and he’s facing an army of opponents whose
interests are much different than those concerned with the prosperity
and security of the Jewish State.
