KSA Animation Video: Saudi Forces Conquer Tehran In Retaliation For An Iranian Attack On A Saudi Ship - MEMRI

by MEMRI

"To reach the Qibla of the Muslims is a main target for the Iranian regime. We will not wait until the fight is in Saudi Arabia. We will bring the fight to Iran."

A Saudi animation video posted on YouTube, Twitter, and other social media platforms warned Iran of the Saudi retaliation in the event of an Iranian military strike against the Saudi kingdom. The video, which is in English with Arabic subtitles, with versions subtitled in Farsi, Turkish, Spanish, Japanese, and Hebrew, begins with a quote by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud: "To reach the Qibla of the Muslims is a main target for the Iranian regime. We will not wait until the fight is in Saudi Arabia. We will bring the fight to Iran." Next, a Saudi aid ship in the "Arabian Gulf" finds itself under attack by Iranian speedboats. A Saudi frigate destroys the incoming Iranian boats. After another attack, this time by missiles, which are intercepted and destroyed by the Patriot radar system, the Saudi command moves for a retaliation attack, by air, land, and sea. Finally, Saudi ground forces storm an Iranian bunker and capture Iranian General Qasem Soleimani.
The video culminates in a mass celebration in Azadi Square in Tehran, during which Saudi flags and posters of the Saudi Crown Prince are raised, and Saudi planes drop leaflets that read: "Peace be upon you. We are with you," on the Iranian crowds. The video appears to be a response to one published by the Iranians in early 2016 (see MEMRI TV clip no. 5261 Iranian Animated Film Simulates Yemeni Missile Attacks on Saudi Oil Fields, Military and Civilian Targets, January 9, 2016), showing a "Yemeni" missile attack on Saudi Arabia. In the Iranian animation, missiles attacked the facilities of the Saudi Aramco oil company, whereas in the Saudi animation, it is Saudi "Eastern Winds" missiles that destroy the Iranian Bushehr nuclear plant. In the Iranian animation, posters of Prince Mohammed bin Salman are shown on billboards in Jeddah, during the missile attacks. In the Saudi animation, similar posters appear at the celebration rally in Azadi Square.
