Trump Takes a Lesson from Winston Churchill - Lloyd Billingsley

by Lloyd Billingsley

Why POTUS 44 would not have screened Darkest Hour at the White House.

On December 18, President Trump invited lawmakers to the White House for a screening of Darkest Hour, starring Gary Oldman as Winston Churchill. Such a screening would never have happened under the previous president.

On his first day in office, POTUS 44 removed a bust of Winston Churchill from the Oval Office and returned it to Britain. When the eviction made news, White House mouthpiece Dan Pfeiffer said the story was “100 per cent false.” But as the Telegraph reported, long after the denial, “Barack Obama’s White House has been forced to admit that it did return a bust of Sir Winston Churchill to British diplomats.” This move has roots in the president’s mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, who shows up as the beloved “Frank” in Dreams from My Father.

As professor Paul Kengor showed in The Communist: Frank Marshall Davis – the Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mentor, the African American Davis was a faithful Stalinist who spent a great deal of his life supporting the all-white Communist dictatorships of the Soviet Union.

On August 23, 1939, Soviet dictator Josef Stalin signed a pact with Nazi dictator Adolph Hitler. The Hitler-Stalin Pact divided up Europe and gave the Baltic states to Stalin. The USSR and Nazi Germany invaded Poland, effectively starting World War II.

During the Pact, the Soviet intelligence services aided the Nazis then attacking Britain, which stood virtually alone. The Communist Party USA, a Soviet creation that ran candidates in U.S. elections, opposed U.S. aid to Britain, and urged the United States to stay out of an “Imperialist war.” American Communists denounced President Roosevelt as a warmonger and did everything in their power to cripple the U.S. defense industry.

North American Aviation produced warplanes and during the Pact, a Communist union struck their plant in California. President Roosevelt considered the strike an emergency, and sent in federal troops to safeguard the plant. The strike, FDR wrote, had been “inspired and directed by Communist forces, interested not in the advancement of labor but in the defeat and overthrow of the United States.

The Pact ended in on June 22, 1941, when Hitler betrayed his ally and attacked the USSR. The United States stepped up aid to Britain but did not become directly involved in the war until after the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in December of 1941. The Communists then changed sides and supported the Allies, but that support ended after the War.

For Communists such as Davis, Churchill was not a hero of the Allied victory but a symbol of imperialism –  but only the British Empire. The Communists ignored the vast Russian empire, which the Communists did not turn loose but subjected to totalitarian rule far more repressive than anything the czars had imposed. As Paul Kengor discovered, “Davis also disliked Churchill because the British prime minister was the ultimate anti-communist.” Davis charge that Churchill, whose country had been attacked, sought to “bludgeon all other countries into submission.”  At the nadir of Stalinist oppression, Davis warned of “Anglo-American imperialist domination.”

In March, 1946, Churchill warned of a Stalin’s “iron curtain” closing across Europe. Frank Marshall Davis and his fellow Communists claimed the problem was “G.M.’s iron curtain. Frank declaimed endlessly against big business, Wall Street and so forth, and as The Communist notes, on virtually all political themes Frank’s views bear remarkable similarities to those of POTUS 44. So no surprise that he would evict the bust of Winston Churchill, and with foreign adversaries his style was the opposite of Churchill’s.POTUS 44 gave the Russians everything they wanted, explaining that he would have even more flexibility in his second term. That was Frank’s influence but POTUS 44 was more than a Davis clone. He attended a Muslim school in Indonesia and told the world “the future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam.” He enabled a massive Islamschluss that has made the nation and world much more dangerous.

The Nazis and Soviets never recruited people to crash airliners into buildings in New York City, or run down civilians with a truck. The Nazis and Soviets never infiltrated operatives to gun down innocent people at a Christmas party in San Bernardino. Muslim jihadists did that, and much more, that but POTUS 44 never recognized their jihad. Indeed, he called  “Soldier of Allah” Nidal Hasan’s mass murder at Fort Hood a case of “workplace violence,” not even gun violence.

Where the former Barry Soetoro proved the most militant was weaponizing the FBI and Justice Department into a transition team for his designated successor Hillary Clinton. When she lost, the corrupt FBI and Justice Department set out to frame the winner, Donald Trump.

The day of the Darkest Hour screening, President Trump announced a new approach for national security that will, first and foremost, “protect the homeland, the American people, and American way of life.” The Islamic jihadists, as they openly proclaim, are out to attack the homeland, kill American people, and end the American way of life. As the recent bombing attempt in New York confirms, the Islamschluss has brought their fighters into our very midst. Therefore, as Winston Churchill said, “we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills.” And most important, “we shall never surrender.”
