Following call for President Trump’s execution, Nidal Sakr expands threat to Trump family.
Nidal Mohamed Sakr, Muslim Brotherhood operative and Chairman of the March for Justice, is very upset about the United States moving its embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. Many of his posts onto social media discuss the event in a negative light. However, one post in particular, which repeatedly makes mention of Ivanka Trump, contains an extremely violent message targeting Jews with death. What should not be lost in this is the fact that Ivanka, her husband and their children are all Jewish, and with the fact that Sakr has recently called for her father President Donald Trump’s execution, the post needs to be viewed as a threat.
Sakr’s life has revolved around the Brotherhood, al-Ikhwan al-Muslimun. According to him, his mother was part of the “first generation of Ikhwan,” carrying weapons and ammunition for the group. Around 1970, Sakr joined a Brotherhood terrorist cell in Jordan that was conducting paramilitary operations against Israel. He was recruited into the cell by Abdullah Azzam, the future mentor of Osama bin Laden and co-founder of al-Qaeda. Sakr has said that he personally knew bin Laden, stating, “Osama bin Laden, himself, was a student of Abdullah Azzam at King Abdul Aziz University. I know him personally. I know his brothers. I know his family.”
In January 2011, when the Arab Spring erupted in Egypt against then-Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, Sakr and his wife, Sara Bokker, did not have to travel far to seek involvement. Since at least 2007, the two were located in Cairo – home to the Muslim Brotherhood headquarters – Sakr serving on the International Islamic Council for Dawah and Relief and Bokker employed at the Brotherhood-related Jana Dan International School. During the revolution, Sakr organized rallies for the Brotherhood and advised Brotherhood leadership.
After the July 2013 coup against the government of newly elected Egyptian President and Brotherhood leader, Mohamed Morsi, by then-head of Egypt’s military and current Egyptian President, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Brotherhood leaders and members were hunted down. On Twitter, Sakr commented that he “Was Fired At by Sisi n RABAA [Square in Cairo] for 12 Hours NON STOP…”
In March 2014, Sakr fled Egypt for the US. Upon arrival, he was placed in handcuffs and detained. Days later, he was sentenced to death in Egypt for the murder of an Egyptian police officer. Sakr has remained in the US, and while here, he has used social media to issue a number of threats against America, Israel, Jews and several world leaders.
On May 14, 2018, a ceremony for the opening of the US embassy in Jerusalem took place amidst a crowd of well-wishers. Speaking were Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman, and top aides to the US President (daughter) Ivanka Trump and (son-in-law) Jared Kushner. President Trump spoke via video.
While the ceremony was underway, thousands of Palestinians from Gaza were protesting. The protest, a violent one organized by Hamas – a group that Sakr regularly promotes online – and other terrorist factions, resulted in dozens of fatalities, a majority of which were Hamas members. The dichotomy between the happy embassy ceremony and the angry Gaza clashes was broadcast widely.
The next day, Sakr posted a viciously anti-Semitic rant in Arabic, which dealt with both the opening of the embassy and the Gaza protesters. Three times within the message, Ivanka Trump was referenced having “removed the curtain,” alluding to the unveiling of the embassy plaque. As well, various Palestinians whose deaths allegedly stemmed from the demonstration were mentioned, including eight-month-old Laila al-Ghandour and double-amputee Fadi Abu Salah. Part of the message stated the following:
The fact that Ivanka Trump is prominently mentioned so many times in a violent rant that calls on Muslims to murder Jews and speaks of “vengeance” is very serious. This is especially the case given that Sakr, not too long ago, called for the execution of President Trump. On October 30, 2017, Sakr tweeted, “EXECUTE SOB TRAITOR Donald Trump.” The same day, he tweeted, “Donald Trump, You Are TOAST… I GUARANTEE IT.”
Sakr has made previous statements regarding the moving of the US embassy in Israel, threatening America and others in the process. This past January, he wrote, “Donald Trump’s Jerusalem Decision Pins US as The Primary Enemy to ALL Muslims, Arabs, & Free People Worldwide… All US Policies/Actions in Middle East MUST Be Dealt With As War Declaration.” In February, Sakr wrote, “MAKE NO MISTAKE!!! All of ‘Jerusalem israeli capital’ Low Lives are Going Down, One Loser After Another. DON’T MESS WITH PALESTINE!!!”
And when it comes to Jews, Sakr has been clear about his Islamist extermination plan. In July 2017, he posted on Facebook, “We will never eliminate the Jews in the name of the Arabs; we will not take them down except in the name of Islam.”
Nidal Sakr, without a doubt, poses a grave danger to society and national security. He is heavily involved with the fanatical Muslim Brotherhood movement, including once having served in a Brotherhood terrorist cell in Jordan. He is affiliated with the founders of al-Qaeda. He actively promotes Hamas online. He is wanted for murder in Egypt. And his call to “eliminate the Jews” can only be described as being on the level of the Nazis. His threats against President Trump and, now, possibly the President’s daughter, Ivanka, must be reacted to with the utmost in seriousness and urgency.
To protect America and her leadership from harm, Sakr needs to be taken off the streets and brought to justice, whether that is in the US for leveling death threats against the President or in Egypt for the alleged murder of a police officer.
That Sakr continues to live in the US with impunity makes a mockery of Homeland Security and law enforcement. Nidal Sakr is a ticking time bomb who must be stopped, before his words turn into deeds, as they did in Egypt, during his time spent in Cairo, and his terrorist operations against Israel alongside a future al-Qaeda leader, decades ago.
