Donald Trump has warned several times over the past few weeks that we are closer to World War III today than at any time since the end of the Second World War.
It’s a theme he’s been sounding off and on for the past two years, but lately he’s making the threats to our security caused by Biden-Harris policies the central theme of his events.
“I think our country right now is in the most dangerous position it’s ever been in from an economic standpoint, from a safety standpoint,” the former president warned at a press conference recently at Mar-a-Lago. “Both gangs on the street and frankly gangs outside of our country in the form of other countries that are frankly very powerful.”
The problem comes down to leadership, the former president said. The Biden-Harris team have “no clue” about American power or world affairs.
Democrats just laughed at the former president, still drunk with the euphoria of having convinced Old Joe to bow out of the presidential race.
But the challenges to America’s security are very real, and it’s not just Donald Trump who is warning about them.
The congressionally-mandated Commission on the National Defense Strategy just issued a 114-page report that buttresses Trump’s concerns for the future of our nation.
The commission was created by Congress in 2022 and began its deliberations in April 2023. It is co-chaired by former Democrat congresswoman Jane Harmon, and by Eric Edelman, a top Pentagon official during George W. Bush administration.
Here are just a few of the top-line takeaways from their report:
– “The threats the United States faces are the most serious and most challenging the nation has encountered since 1945 and include the potential for near-term major war.”
– “China and Russia are major powers that seek to undermine U.S. influence… China is outpacing the United States and has largely negated the U.S. military advantage in the Western Pacific through two decades of focused military investment.”
– “China and Russia’s “no-limits” partnership, formed in February 2022 just days before Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, has only deepened and broadened to include a military and economic partnership with Iran and North Korea, each of which presents its own significant threat to U.S. interests. This new alignment of nations opposed to U.S. interests creates a real risk, if not likelihood, that conflict anywhere could become a multi-theater or global war.”
Did you get that last bit? A real risk of “global war?” That’s exactly what Donald Trump is warning about.
I’ve been warning about the Russia-China-Iran alliance for several years in my weekly podcasts on Prophecy Today Weekend. In a policy paper published recently by the America First Policy Institute, I call that threesome an “Axis of Opportunism.”
Add to that North Korea, which recently tested an ICBM capable of hitting targets anywhere inside the continental United States, and you have a threat of truly global proportions.
And what have Biden-Harris done over the past four years to mitigate these threats?
– They have removed sanctions from Iranian oil, paid $6 billion for five hostages, and provided the Iranian regime with more than $100 billion in windfall profits;
– They have turned a blind eye to Chinese aggression, including military balloons over U.S. ICBM sites and the recent joint Chinese-Russian bomber incursion of the Alaska surveillance zone.
– Worst of all, they have ignored North Korea, prompting Little Rocket Man to step up development of long-range missiles. As we learned during the Trump presidency, a little hand-holding can sometimes go a long way.
What’s the conclusion to all of this evidence? Very simple: Donald Trump is right that we are closer to World War III than at any time in our history because of Biden-Harris policies.
